- Generative Moog Mother-32 patch sent through Soundtoys EchoBoy and Valhalla Supermassive.
This is how I patch the Mother-32 to do stereo panning:
VCF - Mix 1
LFO Tri - Mult
Mult 1 - VCA CV
Mult 2 - VC Mix Ctrl
Left and Right output from VCA and VC Mix
Pan speed is controlled by LFO Rate

...YEPPP!!!
...I've got myself one of these sound studio threes, ...and, I haven't yet got myself in the correct "mood", ...to start to learn how to use any of these things yet, at all, ...I just haven't done anything with them yet, ...but, with glorious videos like this one out there, ...it definitely helps, ...as they are just trully inspirational!!!
...ohhh, maannn, ...I really got to buckle down, ...and learn how to use all of these suckers sometime really soon!!!
...so, ...thank you for this inspiration, that you have shared with us!!!
Whoa, cool stereo patching idea! Gonna have to play with that!
This sounds fantastic. Recently picked up a moog mother 32 and have been experimenting with it. Keep up the awesome work :)
Lovely!
echoing everywhere;-)
Reminds me of the music in Logans Run.
nice...
Very cool sounds.
Thanks! :-)
The idea to introduce panning is a great idea! I just don't understand how the LFO rate affects the panning. Is it because the LFO manipulates the amplitude in the left and right channels differently, turning one louder than the other and therefore moving the sound from left to right?
Yes, the LFO controls the amplitude of the signal in the left and right channel (VCA out and VC Mix out). KB out controls the LFO rate. Higher notes makes the panning faster.
@ Thank you for the insight!🙏👌
How good is that? !!!!!!!
Wow! That's an amazing patch! I've never seen such a complex one on the Mother-32. How did you set up the sequence / get it to play generatively?
Thanks! I have set the sequencer to random playback direction.
