One thing I became aware of, is that granular synthesis really thrives on higher harmonic content, say that of a resonate peak from a filter on a subtractive synth. Once sampled, the harmonic content can then be scrubbed and softened using the filters in the granular synth, but still keeping the harmonic content intact. The 1010 music Lemon drop has great filters that can be manipulated in the X-Y Axis via the knobs. If the filters are set up properly the samples really start to shine. I work DAW-less, which has many benefits over using computers, but is more labor intensive in some respects. the filters in the Texture Lab are fine, but not as good as the Lemon drop sonically. Being able to capture sample content on the Texture Lab and manipulating that sample is the reason I purchased it overall. I remember playing a Kurzweil K2000 at one of the schools I worked at many years ago, nice instrument for sure. I enjoy your channel Snig Fargle, great content! Check out Fading Canvas UA-cam channel, great content.
Thanks! I like the LemonDrop, but it is not as flexible as the Ambient 0, and I have a hard time getting it to sound the way I want. My Kurzweil is gone: I delved in to VAST programming a bit, and it was very deep, but a little overwhelming.
After watching your Sonicware Texture Lab videos I have been thinking of purchasing to incorporate with my Lemondrop granular synth. As you know the Lemondrop has some pretty awesome samples, that the Texture Lab could sample and manipulate for some awesome results perhaps, what do you think? Love your channel my friend!😎🎹🎛🔈🔉🔊
glad to hear that.............lots of awesome gear in use on your channel I see, some of my old faves, like the Ultranova, V-Synth, Hydra...................Pretty impressive assortment
I'm new to Sound. I used to be (and still am) more graphically oriented. When I create I hate to be bound to the instrument, I wanted to be able to paint with sound, as if mixing my own colors with soundwaves. And I loved synthesised sound since the commodore 64, lol, now enter the age of sound artists like Jarre and Vangelis, you definately got a knack for modding one sound sample! I still "see" making music as "sculpting", adding layers on top of layers and with an added factor of time, adding a lick of paint or clump of clay that you make take the shape of your will.... thx for sharing.
That's the kind of music I want to make too. Many sound examples on UA-cam differ from the ability of the device. That gave me doubts whether Texture Lab is the right device. I'm happy if I get one too. Thanks a lot
These tracks are amazing. Are you recording into a DAW or recorder? I have the predecessor Liven models and considering this one. Beautiful how you get your patterns to drone and not pop at the pattern repeat.
wow, this is awesome. Will check out some more of your experiments.
You are getting some great results with the Texture Lab! I definitely need to get one of these soon.

Love this. Just actually ordered the text lab myself. Also.... Daamnn that's a great artist name
Very nice! It's amazing how you can turn a 6-second sample into a 12-minute song that dynamically evolves.
Sehr schön ❤
awesomeness.......................................................
Thanks ... big fan of your Access Virus videos!

Thanks! Texture Lab is excellent ... controls are well implemented and the built in filter and reverb effects work very nicely.
Is it possible that I can hear the original sample?
You can hear it right at the beginning of the track.
Thank you, @@SnigFargle
