this is a 26 inch barrel also one of the few 28 gauges chambered to be able to shoot 3 inch shells

Would like to see a comparison of 28 gauges, the Benelli SBE3 vs the Beretta a400.
In what manner
They’re both very nice shotguns (inertia and gas). Fit, finish, ergonomics, felt recoil difference, shot patterns and your preference if you could only choose one.
@edwardkovack8368 well I can tell you already I would take my a400 and moose would take the sb3 as that’s what we did 🤣🤣
Personally I like the synthetic option for sb3 but I love that wood finish of the beretta it’s just straight art and it patterns extremely well for both fowl / turkey
I am not a fan of the carbon viper vent rib of the on the sb3 as you can’t mount a reflex on it and to be able to even mount one on it you have to be a shim kit for the receiver which when you pay that much it’s nuts to me you have to spend more to get a reflex lol
End of the day it’s all personal preference I’d take the a400 all day everyday based on hunting with it and testing it I have never seen a gun cycle as clean as it does and I have yet to tear it down to clean it which is very impressive
My thoughts may be completely opposite of yours only way to know is go shoulder each at a gun store and see

Love the gun but if buying for turkey hunting and you need a red dot for old eyes you can’t mount one to this gun. It’s not made like the 12 or 20 gauge. Top of receiver is not made to the barrel it’s like a dust cover and would never hold zero
You can mount a reflex on it with a scalarworks mount but it’s a pain in the ass

Looks cool but that's an expensive 28 gauge. Waste of $$ imo. 12 or 20 is the way to go.
For bird hunters sub gauges are taking over for us I’d rather hunt with one of my 410’s or 28’s as they’re a lot lighter yet are more lethal than most 12 or 20 gauge setups and when you film any way you can lighten the gear you do it… especially when the performance is equal if not better
