love this sketchbook spread! imposter syndrome is rough, these were great tips! something i like to keep in mind is that everyone is at a different point in their journey, and everyone improves at a different pace. like you said, no one is the same, we all have our own ways and journeys! ❤🥰

For a long time I had this feeling that all artists were so much better than me... even to the point that I stopped painting completely for several years... Now I have let go: I paint for myself and I I don't care if it's good or bad... I do what I can, and I try to do my best and too bad if it's ugly or if no one likes it
It’s fantastic that you’ve come so far, that’s an amazing mindset to have! You’re absolutely right, people will always be better in one persons eye but remember art is subjective ❤️
I agree with you that we should celebrate our different artistic styles. To me ,to watch other's painting process and learning their skills is a great way to improve, and lots of practice... You artworks are so modern and decorative! love these summer fruit paintings

I definitely have it. Yet I actually do train and study and I realise my Instagram actually shows I have some skills. The doubt is all in my head and if I put the effort in, I can create great things. If I'm not happy with the piece, it's because I gave up too soon and it needed more work. The failure also might be in an area I haven't worked in before.

Hi Chantelle. In my case, luckily, I don't compare myself to others but, often, I feel I'm not making progress. There are a lot of artists on the Internet to learn from but, procrastination is what stops me and I think that's the worst enemy I really need to set a schedule just to learn some specific skills that I need and tell my brain "OK, it's practice time; let's start" Have a nice week
