Love the Cardo Packtalk. I have the all black Special Edition with the JBL speakers that came out I believe two years ago. Mines just snaps in but I like this magnetized version. For me the best part of the Cardo is the voice command. That’s a game changer when you compare that to the Sena SMH10.
The 45mm JBL upgrade speakers are a bit thicker but very well worth the upgrade, especially if you listen to music while riding. But overall, thumbs up dude! Welcome to Team Cardo :D
Should have been more clear on this as it’s a common thing people have asked on. Video was too dark to see anything unfortunately. I have also had to move the mic a few times. The idea is to move the mic to just above or just below your mouth on the side. Sorry for the confusion.
Done like u did but hurt my ear everytime put my helmet on and takes off i re doin it under the still ok i think thats why they put a slim thin foam on that side
I installed the speakers just in front of where the strap is mounted to the helmet, rather than in the cheekpad foam. The opening from the strap allows audio to pass through, although probably not as well as directly in the cheekpad, but it does allow more room. Plus you don't have to remove it every time you need to wash the cheekpad.
Some reason my left ear is so tight with the jbl speakers installed. Not sure if it’s because it’s a brand new helmet and I still need to wear in the padding or not. It’s a rx7 btw
Mic has been moved a few times due to clipping. (Removed from video as you couldn’t see anything) basically I try and move the mic beside the mouth. Mid way up.
@@SLIGHT_ thanks for the video! i bought it only because ur video because the guy at cycle gear said my helmet wasnt compatible until i saw ur video :)
Dang it! I really wanted to like it. It’s too bulky. I was looking for an alternative to my sena that’s on an Arai quantum x because it catches and rubs on top part of my leather jacket shoulder when doing a head check. It’s annoying AF. I’ve been looking for a slightly sleeker design where the quality of audio isn’t sacrificed too much. This doesn’t look like it’s it. Looks cool tho.
I worry too much, so I'd most likely test the unit before I install it into my lid.
Great advice. Thank you.

Oh yeah I had the SMH10 awhile back… didn’t really like it. This cardo unit is a game changer for sure.
Skipped the important installation steps on how to remove & replace cushions, face shield & installation of mic.
Understood, I unfortunately had some issues with recording (too dark to show) yet I completely agree. Thanks for your feedback.
Isnt that the entire point of the video

I’ve seen these… I’ve heard mixed reviews. Might just have to upgrade to them. Thanks for that info!
did i miss the mic install?

1. Your affiliate links from fortnine are broken.
2. Thanks for the video!
3. Where did your friend get the wrap for his helmet?
@@NO-bw5dn thanks for the heads up on the link, I’ll look for an updated link.
He purchased the helmet with that “skin/wrap”
now that my speakers are in, my ears fold everytime i put my helmet on. can i dremel out the cheak pad so they are more flush?
You can modify the padding sure. I have the same issue with mine. Yet I just push my ear up… this unfortunately is quite common.
Under the foam still good

The pads will wear, plus adding the speakers does narrow the helmets space right.
Soooooo where did the mic go? Didnt even show where things go at all you just put them in next clip, take about an adapter, next clip..

I have a question, does Cardo edge fit into Arai rx7v? Thank you 😁
I’m not sure. Yet I’ve yet to find a helmet (full face) that any communication device doesn’t work.
The helmet doesn’t fit once the ear pieces are on 😢
nvm i wasn’t putting the pieces on correctly, it fits perfect now 😊
Ahhh ok ok. Thanks for the update.

This is how it goes in……skips 75% of install and goes to the end. 😂
Appreciate the feedback. Common enough criticism, I have addressed these points previously.
