I've had my pin lock for about 6 months and it began to fail when I was riding out in the cold the other week. The silicone no longer sticks or holds to the visor. The four corners have warped away from the visor and can no longer seal. Am I going to have to replace one of these every season?
Hi its hard for me to advise without the item here in front of me but not trying to pass the blame so to speak but some things to take into consideration are it could be down to the pinlock not being installed correctly or it maybe there is a defect in it, there should be a tight seal so the bead on the pinlock should be nice and smooth so it seals perfectly. once installed correctly and its sealed to the visor 100% it should not give trouble. the cold will also not impact it. depending on how much use it gets it should be good for 5 or 6 years its all down to how you look after it. it could be that you have used a cleaner, some will cause the visor to go brittle and your helmets sidepods and vents so that may also impact the pinlock. we advise to only use warm water and one drop of baby shampoo to clean your visor and helmet.
I have two tour x visors, a dark one with pinlock and a clear one. I want to put the clear visor in the helmet, and I need to put a pin lock. Its possible to remove from one visor and put it in the another one?
@@thevisorshopcrossanmotorcy9996 Thanks. My shield doesn't have pins, so the lens won't work. I bought the helmet used, maybe it has an aftermarket shield on it.
@@morecowbell20 possibly ? the genuine clear, light tint and dark tint visors are pinlock ready. you can find them here www.thevisorshop.com/en/Arai-Tour-X-4--XD4--Helmet-Visor--Shield/m-14384.aspx

yes you should be able to remove it and install in the other visor
How do these stupid black pins work on the max vision? The screw rounded out on the front as soon as I tried to turn it!
drop us an email or call the shop and we can advise. 028 308 50911 we may be able to get you replacement pins for your visor too
I literally just had the same issue.
@@theguitarhero898 try a flat head screwdriver and turn it in the direction to unscrew to relieve the tightness of the pinlock
