Yeah, it’s quite functional because the TV can pull down about 27 inches. It’s way too hard to watch a tv above the mantle if you have to sit close to it. For shorter people or people who don’t feel confident pulling the TV down, the powered version is great. But it is certainly a luxury item.

It’s made for above mantle mounting. It drops the TV 30” to get it down to a normal viewing height. It strains the neck to watch a TV that high for hours. If you don’t watch movies in the area, it’s totally fine to have the TV up high but if it’s your main media area, it does make sense. Thanks for watching.

@@rayman1269 It’s designed to go above a mantle, which is above a fireplace. You can’t mount it on the mantle or the fireplace. It’s a luxury solution for mounting above a fireplace. That video was done in our show room and the mantle and fireplace were not yet Installed. Sorry for the confusion, we could’ve specified that. Our bad.
