      Tubruh lmao the first time i did that was in a 7th grade concert... my bell wasnt secured properly and fell, and as i went to try to catch it, i sent it flying into the snare behind me....idk y i didnt just hold it in place, but i overreacted and damaged both my bell, the snare, and my self confidence... might i add, this was in the middle of my favorite song i've ever played at that school, and my teacher stopped the song while everyone was laughing and hooked me up with a spare, after the concert, we took it to the repair shop, racking up a pretty big bill... the tuning slide actually dented in so far that the repair guy had to fit a new one for it...

      @Yikesmanteehee 7 років тому +1

      Al Harrington First time I got a dent in my trombone was in 7th grade, it was a veterans day concert... at this point of time I had a trigger trombone because I had done all state band last year and convinced my parents to get me a Yamaha, and so while playing IN THE MIDDLE OF STAR SPANGLED BANNER, I fucking have the trombone fall and have 3 medium sized dents in the slide, the tuning slide had dents in it and the bell bent... lesson learned as it costed us around 900 dollars to have it fixed

      Or you could download some music notation software and "copy" it. It takes a bit of time but it's doable. I did just that. If +TrentHamiltonNZ is okay with it, i might find a way to publish it in PDF somewhere.
      All i got to do now is find the backing track, or something similar, or play something myself or...... Well that's for a later time.

      I've noticed that Trent's arrangement it actually rather high for les experienced player (such as myself) so i might make a version thats a bit lower.,

    You play those high notes so beautifully. I have been playing trombone for nearly 3 yrs now, (started in 6th grade) just started jazz band, and really never saw anything above a high B flat until the end of my 7th grade year, so i really don't know many of the note names above high b flat, but i believe its a high f that i have the hardest time getting up to. And when i try to its so loud and really not harmonic at all... and it's not helpful if basically everyone in your class either plays trumpet or percussion, and you're the only trombonist, in a small band, and you try to hit it, and you literally throw up into your trombone bc u pushed too hard... literally has happened to me b4.... not a pleasant sound...please do a response to this so i can stop throwing up... ive cleaned my trombone 3 times and it still smells like vomit...

      my teacher says to take a good and big breath, relax ur lips and corners, and tighten them corners plus stretch ur lips a little bit, but the most important part is relaxing cuz i can only play high notes when im relaxed. this is one month ago, so hopefully u can do better now. remember that pushing too hard isn't good, if it don't come out don't push it or else you will get a really weird sound
