Tubruh lmao the first time i did that was in a 7th grade concert... my bell wasnt secured properly and fell, and as i went to try to catch it, i sent it flying into the snare behind me....idk y i didnt just hold it in place, but i overreacted and damaged both my bell, the snare, and my self confidence... might i add, this was in the middle of my favorite song i've ever played at that school, and my teacher stopped the song while everyone was laughing and hooked me up with a spare, after the concert, we took it to the repair shop, racking up a pretty big bill... the tuning slide actually dented in so far that the repair guy had to fit a new one for it...
Al Harrington First time I got a dent in my trombone was in 7th grade, it was a veterans day concert... at this point of time I had a trigger trombone because I had done all state band last year and convinced my parents to get me a Yamaha, and so while playing IN THE MIDDLE OF STAR SPANGLED BANNER, I fucking have the trombone fall and have 3 medium sized dents in the slide, the tuning slide had dents in it and the bell bent... lesson learned as it costed us around 900 dollars to have it fixed
There are only two types of people who have heard of a Euphonium: Brass Players and Anime Watchers. Then again trying to describe anything that isn't a trumpet, trombone or tuba seems to crack people.
This is so beautiful.. This song was our wedding song, every time I hear it - any version of it- I am touched 😊 I am woodwind player (clarinet and flute) and I enjoyed your version a lot. I got inspired by this and immidietely started practicing with my flute, it will be a nice surprise for my husband.
Just found this video when searching for Trombone duets. My kid is playing and I used to play. We have two bones. I thought this kind of thing would be cool to try, but some of those notes on Trombone 1.... fwew. brings me back to playing T1 for Pomp & Circumstance over and over and over again. Thanks for the inspiration.
This is actually beautiful, Trent. Thank you for this. Even as a Euphonium player, I'll admit that Trombones fit well into lyrical music. And thank you for including the music in the video as well. Makes for a good read-along! I really hope to see you do more of this in the future. By the way, any chance for sheet music outside of the video?
I can't imagine having the tone you have. Granted, it's been about a week since I actually played. I need to find some warm up songs before I go try hard the upper register and control my tone.
I love the idea of playing together with yourself. Can you say how you achieve this? Could you do a you tube clip on how to do it? I notice you have ear phones on. Whenever I have tried anything lie this, I have a problem with latency?? How do you overcome this? Thanks for all your clips, I especially like the more technical ones, the one on tuning was a great help. Tim Beaumont
Or you could download some music notation software and "copy" it. It takes a bit of time but it's doable. I did just that. If +TrentHamiltonNZ is okay with it, i might find a way to publish it in PDF somewhere. All i got to do now is find the backing track, or something similar, or play something myself or...... Well that's for a later time.
Yeah I ws thinking of writing it up but the software that I have is a real pain and I don't really have the time :(. Hopefully Trent allows you to release your copy :)
I've been using Musescore. Freeware and actually quite easy to learn. Like all software, it takes a bit of time to get to know the more advanced stuff. I've noticed that Trent's arrangement it actually rather high for les experienced player (such as myself) so i might make a version thats a bit lower.,
You play those high notes so beautifully. I have been playing trombone for nearly 3 yrs now, (started in 6th grade) just started jazz band, and really never saw anything above a high B flat until the end of my 7th grade year, so i really don't know many of the note names above high b flat, but i believe its a high f that i have the hardest time getting up to. And when i try to its so loud and really not harmonic at all... and it's not helpful if basically everyone in your class either plays trumpet or percussion, and you're the only trombonist, in a small band, and you try to hit it, and you literally throw up into your trombone bc u pushed too hard... literally has happened to me b4.... not a pleasant sound...please do a response to this so i can stop throwing up... ive cleaned my trombone 3 times and it still smells like vomit...
my teacher says to take a good and big breath, relax ur lips and corners, and tighten them corners plus stretch ur lips a little bit, but the most important part is relaxing cuz i can only play high notes when im relaxed. this is one month ago, so hopefully u can do better now. remember that pushing too hard isn't good, if it don't come out don't push it or else you will get a really weird sound
Pretty catchy and relatively not too difficult, so I grabbed my baritone and played along. Your tone sounds amazing! Is there anywhere I can get the sheet music for this duet?
When you launch your slide during a marching competition
EpicsOfFours a senior did that at my school last year and the judge kicked it into the front ensemble lmao
One of my section mates literally launched his slide the first day he had his bone
EpicsOfFours part of our show this year is actually going to be sound of silence we're doing an inspirational cancer theme thing
When you dropped your contrabass trombone..
Random Uploads!!! Lol I was hoping someone would comment about that lol made my day
Turn to page 394
LOL
LMAO
Welp. Guess we had the same idea for a joke. But I'm a year late...
This is either going to go viral over night or its just going to be another amazing video that never blows up. Either way this is amazing.
It's thanks to people who share videos that make them popular :)
you are so good at the xylophone.
Demos Pro Dude that is. A bass flute.

When you try to sight read something and miss the key
When they call your trombone a baritone
Legend Unknown better than "saxomophone"
when they call your trombone a TRUMPET
When your playing soprano trombone and someone calls it a slide trumpet
When your baritone is a “tuba”
Ok baritone= fisher price tuba
Trombone= slide baritone
Memes= cringey
When you drop your mouthpiece and it's no longer a perfectly round circle :(
Josh LeRose it's never supposed to be perfectly round there's always a flat part so that it doesn't get stuck easily
Иосиф Сталин it is supposed to be round and if you bring it to the workshop, the tools they use are designed to get it round too.
Josh LeRose I've never dropped mouth piece!
A Sousa player dropped his mouthpiece off the top of the stands during a game and nearly hit a little child, luckily the mouthpiece survived.
Eric Van Buggenhaut it's round but there's a flat part on the edge that keeps it from getting stuck forever
Me when I walk in late to band class
When you get your first dent
Tubruh See, this guy gets it
And is a bach mouthpiece
Tubruh Yes.

When they call your trombone a saxophone
giant23 - bruh people always call it a tuba from my personal experience
There are only two types of people who have heard of a Euphonium: Brass Players and Anime Watchers. Then again trying to describe anything that isn't a trumpet, trombone or tuba seems to crack people.

Is this dedicated to the release of the Emoji Movie? (aka the death of the film industry)
The "pinnacle" of film, the Emoji Movie will forever be known as the best film of all time.
Jonathan It's so sad that normal people can't understand the utter genius and complexity of the legendary " Emoji movie"
John Johnson then why did it get a 103% on Rotten Tomatoes hater 😤😤😤💯💯💯💯
John Johnson better not tell jacksfilms
Oof, remember when that was a thing...; didn't age well...

Some French horn would sound amazing with the two trombones. Great vid👍
When they call my euphonium a tuba ;-;
Mr.PeePee As a tuba player I get told that my instrument is a Euphonium lmao
Something tells me the background accompaniment was not, itself, played on trombones.
When Mandarins beat the Madison Scouts without even going to finals

Would be awesome!
Another cool video man!
Greetings from Germany
Is there any way to get the music
i love the whole thing and the concept in general, but i think you should use the tenor clef for 1st trombone next time.
Can you do the boxer or bridge over troubled water
Tu es un génie
Can you release the sheet music in a pdf so we can download it!!
Sean Ealey it would take longer but you could screen shot each part
