Used to ride the cab when I was learning to be a shunter at Worcester shrub hill 30+yr back. You could start them up with the end of a teaspoon. Thanks for bringing back great memories 👍🏻
one of the best and most successful locomotives ever built in Britain in the late 1950s to mid 1960s as you cannot beat the sound of them EE engines/turbo's and seeing black clagg pumping out of these beasts 🤩🤩🥰🔊🔉🔉🥳
Shame all the engineering expertise here is gone now and we make nothing! Its bizarre to think this still running 63 years after they first went in production
Does anyone know if you can still ride on the 37s as a passenger? I’m from a wee village near Kyle of Lochalsh and was born in the late 70s. Kyle was the terminal point for the Kyle to Inverness line and I rode on them all the time. I love the noise and smell of these beautiful beasties and would sell my tits to Satan for a wee jaunt in one.
That’s is one of the most distinctive rumbles on the railway & they are a real work horse - well done matey 👏🙌👍
you can't beat a claggy tractor when they're being fired up on a cold day 🔥🔥🔥 💨💨💨🥰
Nice to see a tractor in BR Blue as there ain't many I've the old-school original livery anymore!!! 🤩😍🥰

they do railtours on the main line or try a preserved railway as loads of class 37s still exist there's a good 100 left out of the 327 that was built!
im sorry i couldnt get there on time
Idle is a bit fast
It’s why it’s getting scrapped up I’ve heard
