I love it when you have the longer videos. That’s the first thing I look for is the length of the video. Sorry those other storage pots didn’t work. Wish you had a Harbor Freight store because their storage containers are my favorites.
When using baggies for spares like this, I use a sharpie to write on the DMC numbers and then when I empty the bag, whether it be into my pots or into my actual spares boxes, I use nail varnish remover on tissue to remove the DMC numbers and then the bag is reusable again 😊
That’s why I like the Elizabeth warden trays are great to use and they don’t spill everywhere I have the cases like yours too which I am useing for my blank dp
I was like Nooo Rebecca don’t do it when I saw you using the first storage box. I bought that back when I started and found out quickly that it won’t work.. glad you hadn’t done much kitting up when you figured out it wouldn’t work....
I'm glad you found the idea of the baggies useful. If I have a painting that has a large amount of a colour I have some 7x10cm bags I use for those instead of the normal 6x8/5x9cm ones. Enjoying your videos as usual, one day I might just get through the all of the older ones as well.
I'm just about to kit up two EverMoment diamond paintings whilst watching this. One of them which is of a cat is 50 by 50 and the other which is a chalkboard is 40 by 50.
I never imagined to spend my due date (tomorrow) diamond painting. But my little one is not showing any signs of coming on time and I’m in bed rest so I guess I’ll just do some diamond paintings😏 also can’t wait for January to go along, have 16 pics on the way in the mail 🥵
I use a frixion pen to write on my labels then they can be rubbed out and rewritten with the next kits numbers and symbols. I have a black and a red pen so I write the dmc colour in black at the top then the symbol underneath in red. But for just writing the spares bags I only dmc it.
I have just received the 50 by 40 of this diamond painting and have kitted it up already. I have an diamonds and am thinking about switching some of the diamonds out for that extra sparkle.
you were talking a bit abt size comparison and i just wanna say my first diamond painting was a 12x12 horse partial from hobby lobby, i then went on to 2 30x40 diamond paintings then some stickers and now im working on a DAC " each tree has a soul" which is 46cm x 71cm (think i did the big ones too fast)
Be watchful. Those sometimes tend to warp and won’t close or if they do close the middle part doesn’t attach and beads can slip out. (Never mind. Should have watched the whole thing before commenting)
I have the same storage box, and ran into the exact same issue. Over half of the small boxes had bowed lids. I ended up doing a mix and match with those that were "workable", and taping the others shut. Had to keep using it, cause fixed budget sucks lol.
Fixed budget here too. But got some nice screw top bottle storage cases from ali express. They also have cases without bottles so can be cheaper. Then buy bottles separately if this helps your budget.
I have the same storage can't really fill them the drills come out if the lids aren't all the way closed or bowed I'll stick with Elizabeth Ward storage or the screwed on pods
When you do the work on big canvases in small places, wil you also tell more about storing big double sided tape canvases before doing them? I have one now that I will wait to do. And you mention briefly in your storing canvases video they may not stand beeing rolled, unrolled and rolled again. Also, what can happend if we do that? Next time you can use your grey tray for tipping the extras into baggies. Then they will not overflow when you pour. :)
I bought one of those storage containers a while ago...but can't really use it because 90% of my boxes will not close. They are warped and I can't manipulate them to make them close. Oh well. I found other uses for them.
I know that there is something similar to that rubbish storage box you use. For artists you have the pop up waterbuckets its the same mechanism. Maybe thats a good alternative
You need to grab the bigger bottles with either gold or silver lids back the bottles, I find these easier to use, I would like to know what you think of them 😁
On your next "needs vs wants" videos, or any video, can you please review Lightpad covers. I know you've discussed this on one of your video but I think it was briefly and can't recall which video. I also can't remember if you liked it or if you use it often. I would definitely take your consideration into account because I've been wanting to purchase one but don't want to waste my money if it's not a good product.
Do you mean which light pad to buy, or the covers you can put over the sensor. I don't actually use a case for my light pad at all, but I do recommend a magnetic charger cable, saves damaging the charging port.
@@addmorezest I mean a cover to put over the on/off button so that you don't keep accidentally turning it off. Its the bane of my existence and drives me nuts. Lol 😂
First time I've seen one of your videos. I enjoyed watching it. I just finished my first Homefun custom... 45x60 in squares. I found a few of the lighter colors had a lot of concave backs and pitted fronts. Have you ever had this issue with this company? I'm worried if I missed any of them and placed them on the canvas that I'll have problems with them popping off.
You can buy it in round. Homfun does both square and round. If you click the link in the description box to the painting when you’re choosing the size you can also choose between round and square.
Hi rebecca when you use your good gone i have notice that when you take the lid off have you only got a small hole in the paper bit as i don't want to spill mine any advice please
How do you deal with the big double sided canvases? I know that it isn’t wise to roll up double sided tape canvases while storing because this can create bubbles. But is this also the case after putting on the drills? Or can I roll it without a problem after that?
Good Morning Rebecca, I need some help. It seem I have brought a bad custom. It a picture of my daughter from her white coat program where she be came a doctor. The picture is 55 x55 as I work on it the diamond are losing it stickiness. Is there a way I can save it or will I have to trash it. I about half way through. Can you give me some suggestions?
@@carolynbethea2861 I can't answer that at the moment as I've only done customs from 2 companies and they didn't include peoples faces; however, my next comparison series I'll be comparing customs. They've arrived, but I've not started working on them yet at all.

There new pens on amazon and they have a new Hoover just out for picking up the drills you have spilled on the floor or on top of your canvas sheet

I'm like you. I like the bottles best. But if they come in baggies I dont bother kitting up. X
You mention how you deal with large canvas in the kitting up for the contemplation project by dreamers designs.
I use the 60 Round jars and the Elizabeth Ward Storage, I fine them to work best for me.

I have got one. Megan is currently using it for a Tinkerbell.......so I'm not sure how long it will be until I get that back.
Put the drill in a baggie and then put them in the cases. Just a thought
Tricks and hints, go for it. I have issues with long canvas’s and what to do with the part that’s done. Details please.
Rolling up the completed end with the diamonds out helps if you're working in a smaller space or to keep the painting in one place.
I have that storage container. The first one. It didn't work out for me. The diamonds spill out the sides of the containers.
Oh were small garbage bag ? I like that

you could put some PVA glue down in sections as you go. Or maybe another layer of double sided tape.
What is pva glue ?

Rebecca how do you manage to check you have enough diamonds
I often don't. However, those that come with the little bags, each bag contains 180-200 diamonds, so you can do a quick check.

Isn't it funny they didn't put all those 320s in the larger bags.
It's to fool you into thinking there's less black diamonds! 😅
Not a huge fan of the tic tac type cases myself as mine stopped closing after completing one painting. I hope your ones last longer than mine did.
