    I was always told never to touch the face of the gong as you have done here as the oils on our fingers will eventually stain the gong, we use fairy fingers around the outside edge of the gong only. Thank you for the instruction on the video it’s very good

      A yoga class at the YMCA is where I first heard the gong like this. It was so calming I never open my eyes to see how she was actually doing it.

    Hi, thank you for this tutorial! Can you please tell me why certain Gongs give me a tight uncomfortable feeling in my chest and heart? Thank you

    • @SoundHealingAcademyInt
      @SoundHealingAcademyInt  2 місяці тому

      Hello Julia. Thanks for your question! It could be many reasons. One may be that the gongs are being played too intensely or loudly, or the pitch may not be in resonance with you. Or it could be that you have emotions that are trying to be released. It really depends too on what you mean by uncomfortable. I would suggest trying to focus on your breath and relax. If its very uncomfortable, then I would actually remove myself from the gonging. Do keep in mind that not all sound baths are created equal, and that intense or loud playing is not really what we are after (if this is the situation you find yourself in).

    • @juliai4672
      @juliai4672 2 місяці тому

      @@SoundHealingAcademyInt thank you so much for your reply! The uncomfortable feeling is that it’s tight in chest area like someone is sitting on your chest or squeezing your heart. It only happened one or twice and then went away so I’m guessing your suggestions about emotions might be right. My daughter has the same feeling with a heart chakra pitchfork sound

    I absolutely love gong. I am trying to learn how to play one and this is great introduction. Thank you so much. I feel so much within my body of even slightest sound coming from the gong. Could you recommend which is the best gong to buy for beginners, please? 🙏

      I’m in same boat, just starting out, looking at a 34 or 36” Meinl. Did you ever find one you like? The gong is one thing, then there are all the mallets. This is an expensive endeavor. 🙂

    Hi. Yes I concur with Angelas re the volume. Hardly audible on the laptop speakers. However, on the external speakers it was fine, but as always with gongs a lot of distortion coming through on the louder sections. Whenever I look at youtube clips this seems to be a common issue as most mics cannot cope with the sound waves from these awesome instruments. I am looking to acquire a symphonic gong and was looking to see what they sound like when using a flumi. Do you have a link to that at all? Thanks very much for the instructional video in the mean time. Kind regards, Bart

    Estimados, les comparto esta valiosa información:
    Se han observado los beneficiosos efectos del sonido y la vibración en el sistema nervioso central. En la actualidad el sistema simpático se halla activado continuamente generando continuo estrés y desgaste, que es sin duda una de las mayores causas actuales de enfermedad. El sistema parasimpático, cumple la función de parar el sistema parasimpático y con ello llevarnos a estados de calma, necesarios para la regeneración de cuerpo y mente.
    A día de hoy muchas personas tienen el sistema nervioso desequilibrado, con una hiperactivación del sistema simpático y una atrofia del sistema parasimpático. La Sonoterapia consigue activar el sistema parasimpático y con ello regular, equilibrar y armonizar el sistema nervioso devolviendo la salud. Es de destacar que el sistema nervioso influye en el resto de sistemas que regulan el cuerpo y la mente humana entre ellos el sistema inmunológico, encargado de mantener nuestras defensas altas frente a ataques bacteriológicos y virales.
    No contar con un sistema nervioso central fuerte es garantía de enfermedad a corto, medio y largo plazo.
    Así, la Sonoterapia puede reducir y aliviar el estrés que es la principal causa de enfermedades de todo tipo. Solo por su capacidad para aliviar el estrés, la terapia de sonido se encuentra entre los medicamentos más eficientes y ampliamente disponibles.
    Por todo ello, la Sonoterapia tiene mucho que aportar en el campo de la salud y el bienestar físico y mental de ser humano.
