I just went to a sound healing where the guy had 8 varying size gongs and crystal bowls that he played. At one point playing a gong it sounded very angry to me and I felt it in my heart and began to cry. Afterward I realized I had released a lot of anger I had been carrying around. I also passed a ton of gas afterward which I think was stress releasing as well. He said you’d feel effects up to 72 hours afterward. This stuff is real and works. Go to a live one if you can as you can feel the vibrations in your entire body and head. Wow.
That's what is known in the industry as "the brown note".
I went to a live gong sound bath! At first I had no idea what instrument was being played that mimicked the sound of the vast universe until I finally opened my eyes and looked up to see it was all being played on a gong! I want a big gong now!

thank you, one lady used to come to everyone of my events, I do events with gongs, light machine and cacao. and people get energized. I found out that one lady used to come to mine just because she had the motivation and energy to clean her house :)

I played percussion in school, and while I was required to pound the gong for songs, on my breaks I'd do something like this, finding peace with the vibrations. It attracted so many of my band mates, and drove others crazy (the more edgy, angsty, negative teens) like they weren't ready to experience it.

I heard this when I had a near death experience. Started out as an extremely high pitched sound, then very slowly started getting lower and more vibrate-y, like this. Then got even lower - with more time between each vibration. The lower the sound got, the less I could remember about my life & myself. Finally it was at a super low sound/vibration and I was barely aware of myself. I was in a field of white - no joy, no me, no anything.
ego death had something similar on a large dose of lsd

PS - I almost died too and was in that same all white place! But like a white so vibrant you can't even describe it, right? All the colors of the spectrum together! And no pain, no sadness, nothing. But it was ok. I'd love to talk to people who have similar experiences.

I used to hear this until about the age of 5. It was quite frightening to me back then......alone in my dark room.......too afraid to move. Hearing this allowed me to experience that memory.........with no fear. That was another gift from the universe. I've been receiving a lot of them lately.

I used to hear something like this with heavy, deep pranava chanting throughout my teenage years. I was under sleep paralysis. It was so real that it shook me when I finally was able to get up. When I tried to talk about it, I was told they were demons trying to attack me. (Was a staunch Christian then) Fast forward to 2019, I AUM it out like I smoked a joint! This is my Father's sound, this is where I come from. I feel privileged to have experienced it (in hindsight). Om namah Shivaya. May the love of Jesus Christ be with you all. 🙏🏽❤

@@babrown1978 I've often wondered why that is, but sometimes we see Horrors and horrible things. I'm not going to get into what I see but it's almost like it's empathic. I'll see the vision and then I'll see the reality. But I don't want to see the vision because in Visions there's nothing we can do but add to the greater negative consciousness. I was told by a dear mentor that it is the ego not wanting to set us free. The ego abides and negativity and we are also raised and surrounded with negativity so it would be a natural place for the mine to go and we just have to focus and work really hard to shift to more Beauty and positivity. I don't know if you believe in channeling or not but the person to go to to really help you learn to shift your mind from negative to positive is Abraham Hicks. So wishing you the best and hang in there! Your intuitive voice is always right and love is always the way.

"In the beginning was the logos". There is no language in the Universe. There is sound and that sound is it. We know SO little of this beautiful mystery of being alive in this human form :-)

Me too. I didn't expect to enjoy it at all, actually, as when gongs are hit, it's fairly aggressive and abrupt, but resonating it like this it's completely different and I can feel a warmth from my toes to my crown. Pretty awesome!

Find a gong meditation near you. Typically held at yoga studios.
I have 8 different sized gongs and they all sound different. Your brain latches onto patterns. The gong plays in no particular pattern so your brain lets go into relaxation.
I’ve experienced what only can be described as a “mental orgasm” come up in to and out of the top of my head while playing.
I don’t recommend players who play it loudly or “crashes” it. It can be very unsettling. Crying is common. So is falling asleep. States of bliss are also very real and common.
Seeing Yogi Bhajan play is what got me interested in sound healing.
