    Surprised he didn't use a food mill after adding that panade. Thus it's not a soup but a ragu. That's a lot of cheese too. Must be a starter, not a soup course. So simple, and probably tasty, just over priced peasant food.

    • @danigun87

      Do you see any meat? then it s not a ragù. All italian food is peasant food based from poor ingredients, still better than whatever is eaten in your country.

      Over the years, I've had it on more than one occasion in Tuscany. It's peasant food and when it's served in a bowl it makes more sense. If you ever have a chance to eat it, I think you'll find it's delicious.

    • @Garvin285
      @Garvin285 2 місяці тому +3

      @@c.f.sedgwick1885 I'm sure it's great as a soup, it's just weird what they made out of it here. I'm sure mozzarella is super tasty and fresh but that's still a big ball of cheese with a little bit of thick sauce.

    • @c.f.sedgwick1885
      @c.f.sedgwick1885 2 місяці тому +1

      I couldn't agree more. He took a simple but excellent dish and made it a side element to a disjointed, probably very expensive, "gourmet" dish.

      Nah, not really. Beef is expensive everywhere, in Italy too. Btw. once you're past 25 and the desperate need to impress your mates with your eating habits you'll realise you can actually try other things than steaks, you won't become a lesser man.
