We need more tutorials like these - I’m turning 30 and you’re certainly right about how facial features change compared to how we look 10 or so years ago. My favorite style for make up tutorials! And Michelle is the one who created it. I stopped watching her channel for years. I am so so so happy to discover she's back to her original video style. I almost have tears in my eyes. It feels like I just got my bestie back. Heck, like I got my whole youth back. Re-subscribed. 💞🥰
I started watching and learning from Michelle’s tutorials in my 20s and watching her again in my 30s brought emotion. Such useful information as always!
I remember watching you when I was in my early 20s and now I’m almost in my 30s and I couldn’t agree more, my makeup has definitely changed, I focused more on having healthy skin and loving myself Inside out. I love this look so so much!!!! It’s bc I see all of these TikTok makeup tutorials and everything seems so exaggerated, the liner, the lashes. It makes me feel as if I have to do that or look like that to fit in with society now.. or look that way in order to get a bf.. And then I see your video and see how elegant you look , you ENHANCED your features and not trying to hide them. The end product was beautiful!!! Someone will love me with the way I am. I will definitely add the false individual lashes ! Thank you for staying on UA-cam !!! Your voice always brings so much peace !! You’re so genuine!! Much love !!!! From Atlanta Georgia!!!
Love that you have shared what you have learned over the years and even put in an old clip. You and Kandee Johnson were the first UA-cam videos i watched and ignited my love of makeup. I’ve loved art and coloring but was never allowed to use makeup (strict Korean mom) but I always admired it as an art form. Kevyn Acoin’s books were the beginning. I’ve always wanted to purchase EM Cosmetics and this will be my first time! As an art history buff i love the references. Please do more of these videos Michelle and bravo on the new collection!
Being 36, I really appreciate this video. I grew up watching you and so happy you’re doing this. AND asmr to soothe and make the makeup experience that much more calming. You will now and forever be the GOAT
I like how you've started to focus more on skin care. I started Moisture routines in my 20s (nothing major, just some body butter and cream on my face after a shower, and some sunscreen before I go out on a sunny day) and the older I get the more thankful I am that I did that, and the more "help" (ie care) I give my skin. Also I like that you're not into a full face of foundation. . . I get that some people have different issues, but I feel like foundation is one of those steps that most of us adapted whether we "need it" or not.
I like how the camera is showing those facial redness/moles, it’s very realistic. I’ve been watching makeup tutorials for a long time and I always thought makeup was meant to make you look flawless, nut now I realise it’s more about enhancing your features to the finest. I’ve never put much makeup on my face except eyeliners and mascara, I was stunned to see my face with concealer the other day hahaha
I used to watch you when I was a teen and now im doing my makeup again with you as I’m older. Lots of love thanks for bringing makeup back to reality ❤️
Love love love u more just how authentic you are even if you are so equipped w/ the fancy stuff yet you just keep it simple your video that is. And dang! saying you save money for products to invest in your skincare. How humble you are and just keeping it as relatable to your fans God bless Mish 😘😘😘❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥🙏🙏🙏💝💝💝
I worked as a profession makeup artist for many years….this is a great application that people can actually wear in real life. Great job….I cringe when I see beauty gurus on UA-cam apply makeup that would only work for a photo shoot or the stage. Bravo.
I absolute adore you and your tutorials, since the beginning! Real make up for real people, class and good taste, not these hideous make up looks the internet is full of these days, with the duct tape eyebrows and excessive contouring. You’re my make up mentor and this look is amazing!
I never thought such small and subtle details could make such a big difference in your makeover. Absolutely loved the look. Soft eyes and the popping lip colour 😍😍
I’m 32 and it’s weird like I wear less makeup now but like you said it’s more intentional use. I look at photos from my 20s compared to now and I feel I look better. Maybe I’m better at makeup, maybe I’m more comfortable in my own skin. Not sure but I’ve never felt more confident!
Thanks for always being here through the years, been watching since I was in middle school I’m 20 now and I’m so greatful to have had you as one of my role models 💜
It's been 12 yrs since I started watching your videos and I am still at awe everytime you have one. I've learned so much from you about taking good care of our skin and make up.
I remember watching a christmas makeup tutorial back in 2008 when i was 16 and actually wearing it on the streets. My dad was sick then and i remember watching michelle brought me so much happiness. I have 4 kids now and so happy that the OG is back!!
I love that you talk about aging & how we need to adjust as our skin changes ☺️ It’s not a bad thing - it’s natural! I also love the tone of your voice Michelle 💖 Loving you always!!!
Michelle,. I love the sound of microphone that you are using. Even if you are whispering, it's so calming to hear... Please don't stop making this kind of videos.. until we all grow old, i will still watch you.. love lots! 💋
I’ve used prescription grade eye drops that sting for minutes so yeah I’ll give these a try haha. Also you can taste eye drops bc your tear ducts drain into your nose and then your throat 👍🏼
I've been a subscriber for almost 10 years and I just have to say I love how your style and perception has changed with age. You have been and you always will be a beautiful person inside and out. I love the thought of enhancing your natural features, and have taken that with me on my journey. You're absolutely amazing and I want you to know how much of an impact you've made ❤️
Supposed to be for 30s and up but I'm 22 and most of my friends in their 20s wear our (daily) makeup like this :) At least when we're at grad school/work. But I honestly think natural-looking makeup has been a huge trend since last year and will continue to be so in 2022. Love this video Michelle, your blush line is so good and I always incorporate it into my makeup routine 😊
As I grow older, turning 40 yrs old this yr, i noticed that my preference on makeup has changed. It's no longer full coverage, sparkly eyes, wide variety of lip colors. I prefer natural coverage foundation that look like skin, eyeshadow palettes that are simple & can give me elegant look, natural lip colors.. im glad u did this tutorial & share with us ur techniques! Thanks! Love from Malaysia.
I watched Michelle a decade ago, looking for a forest fairy tutorial, now I'm on here looking for a makeup look for my bridal shower 🥺✨ TYSM Michelle, for staying with me as a grow 💖
I remember watching your videos from when I was in primary school and then high school, I always felt so comforted watching your videos and getting excited to try new things. I also remember you and your videos are the reason I got into skincare so much! I learned from you to really try to understand my skin and it really helped my confidence (I mean it's in a funny spot atm now but that's alright) but it's like a wave of nostalgia watching your videos again, I'm 22 now and still love to watch your videos! Can't wait for more!!!!
My first make up teacher as well as my English speaking teacher! I listened to your videos when I was in high school and that really help me with speaking listening skill. Because your voice is so calming and very easy to understand 😊
Michelle, you're so right about how our features change over the years so the colors, and textures we use to accentuate our features matter just as much as the placement and amount of coverage. I also used to wear full coverage, matte foundation and powder to completely resculpt my face 10 years ago. Now I only want to use a tinted moisturizer consistency with the smallest amount of concealer, just where the extra coverage is needed. I'm ok with a little bit of my sunspots and acne scars showing through. My go to eyeshadows and liners have been shades of brown, taupe, peach, rather than the darker grays before. I've learned to embrace my unique features and "imperfect"/"troubled" skin over the past few years. This video was great and your voice is wonderful and soothing as always. Thank you for this!
sooo beautiful! another makeup masterclass. The way you did the subtle nose contour was amazing, so so subtle but made such a natural difference. Congratulations on your new collection!
I grew up with Michelle as well - learnt my love for makeup and now that I am a bit older - It has been so difficult to let go of the "heavy" makeup I am so used to. I am so glad you uploaded this video, Michelle. Thank you. And also I have been investing more into my skin even though I will always LOVE makeup. It's just been so difficult to embrace my skin with scars and pigmentation plus being POC - I have to mix shades - still have never been able to find one shade that matches me - ugh! Xoxo

Love those flashbacks!! :) I'll never forget when in a time where everyone was caking up their makeup you said in one of your vids to not put foundation all over the face, but rather place it where needed and blend to get a much more natural look. This tip stayed with me throughout the years 🙂

They inspired me and helped me freshen my look when I needed a boost (I think "sweetest thing" was a favorite video). I loved how you played with makeup and creativity. Fast forward to now, and you still inspire me. I love the life experiences and maturity/wisdom you bring. I love your authenticity. All the best!

The approach of embracing skin texture and working on enhancing the features we have rather than changing it ♥️. It's simple, clean, fresh and elegant looking, great for everyday look ♥️.
Totally what we need clean and minimal look. Its so true that as you get older you just embrace everything about yourself with confidence! ✨
Michelle - You literally paved the way for all the beauty influencers today.
Michelle is like the Adele of the beauty UA-camr community - creates content for peers, doesn't cater to trends and focuses on being authentic.
I love this technique of makeup, I’m in my mid 20s and I wear this look now, it’s timeless thank you beautiful Mich
ugh still obsessed with this type of makeup tutorial. love the soft voice, video angles, and educational content.
Now in my 30's, Michelle came back to help me with make up.
Such a refreshing look!
Hey Michelle, could you do your mom's makeup on here? Would be great to see mature skin with your makeup
This is perfect! So excited to do this look for the rest of the year. Thanks Mish…I’m so happy you’re back!
I watched Michelle a decade ago, looking for a forest fairy tutorial, now I'm on here looking for a makeup look for my bridal shower 🥺✨
TYSM Michelle, for staying with me as a grow 💖
Can we just agree that she started ASMR videos!! Like she is soo relaxing and her voice is so incredibly soothing!! Like omg
Yassss queen. Thank you for this video!! Sometimes having a nice little routine is great for self-love as we get older. 💛
I haven’t clicked on a makeup tutorial in years. This was so so soothing. Michelle is timeless.
Turning 25 this month and I’m realizing how important skin care is. Thank you Michelle for being so inspiring!
My first make up teacher as well as my English speaking teacher! I listened to your videos when I was in high school and that really help me with speaking listening skill. Because your voice is so calming and very easy to understand 😊
I cant believe is been over 14yrs of ur help❤ and u get better everytime. Always real and so honest🥰🥰 u are THE GURU of makeup !!!!
Beautiful! Her voice is so comforting too
Michelle, you're so right about how our features change over the years so the colors, and textures we use to accentuate our features matter just as much as the placement and amount of coverage.
As I get older, I realized that skincare was really important. Beautiful skin is the perfect canvas for makeup!
sooo beautiful! another makeup masterclass. The way you did the subtle nose contour was amazing, so so subtle but made such a natural difference. Congratulations on your new collection!
My jaw dropped at how she did her nose contour. Literally the best contour of Asian noses I've ever seen.
Xoxo
I LOVE THE WHO CONCEPT IN BRINGING BACK NATURAL MAKEUP LOOK THAT NATURALLY ENGANCE YOUR FEATURES! ✨
In the age of "more is more", it is finally nice to see a youtuber understanding that "less is more" is truly the way to go!
I wish you continue doing the pillow talks. Those really soothe my soul :)
With all due respect (I admire you a lot), this vid is making me sleepy. It gives me ASMR vibes. Very relaxing and comfortable.
Other people make vids that are loud, loud music, talk a lot about something, etc. But you....you are just showing us your art and as well providing a peaceful environment.
Heheh now I'm on vid number 4. 🥰🥰
So happy To See You Michelle Making Videos again!!! Lots of love girl..
This video gave me ASMR. It's such a massive contrast from the nature of youtube videos these days, always loud, lots of music, visuals etc. I've been screaming for simplicity in my life recently
Now that I’m nearly 40 I’m all about that natural glow up now. This video is wonderful.
There is something about your videos that bring me back to a simpler time. Please never stop🥺🙏🏻 I love you.
Can we appreciate the fact that her voice is so soft and not too loud like the other makeup tutorials and influencers.
Love those flashbacks!! :)
I'll never forget when in a time where everyone was caking up their makeup you said in one of your vids to not put foundation all over the face, but rather place it where needed and blend to get a much more natural look. This tip stayed with me throughout the years 🙂
I used to watch your OG YT videos back when I was in junior high and high school and now I’m watching this video (nearly 30 myself). A huge “Whoah!” moment. Life goes by so quickly BUT also how cool is it we have the opportunity to evolve with our favorite YT’ers?
Her voice is sooo soothing! Great video as usual! ❤️
I remember when I first started watching your videos. I was a young mom (20's), tight budget, and feeling incredibly frumpy because I was in the throws of early motherhood (and pregnant with my second child). I loved your videos.
This is the first time I've ever watched a video from you, and I noticed the natural background right away. It's lovely.
Yes! I absolutely love the way you kept pointing out enhancing your already beautiful features. When I want to go for a more natural look and use less these are the kind of tutorials I like to go back on for tips. It's so nice watching how you are doing your makeup now versus when you first started. The way we did makeup then is soo different than now. Which is nice!! I can't wait to try out these tips tomorrow 🥰 Thank youu!
I wish you made ASMR videos, your voice has always been sooooo nice to listen to
P.s. love this nice natural look 😍
i love that i can see her pores and whatnot.
also, i'm turning 30 and taking notes. when i was younger i used to put too much foundation on my face but now that i'm older i'm investing with my skincare more
