As we jump into the game, our first target seems obvious. The Caledonians in Eildon, so we attack them right away. After taking their town a disease breaks out in our capital, which makes our great start a little less great.

I'm most interested in this Legendary LP of yours because I want to start with the Ebdanians. And Attila seems different enough to me that I need to get my head round it, and your plays make everything so clear.

***** Hate that! I think its the economic side, especially the building upgrades, that give me the biggest headache.
Instead of playing the Celts, or Picts I suppose as a vanilla line em up and charge faction, it would be interesting if you incorporated guerilla deployment into your tactics going forward. Obviously it wasn't going to be a factor in the siege, but it would be a good way to give an advantage to the Celts at the moment less than stellar unit roster. Glad you picked to LP the new culture.
That's going to be the plan later on when I get some of the units that have high charge and speed. For the moment I would just get myself killed easily if I used that.

But I was thinking that with such poor defence and lack of shield wall, utilizing guerilla deployment to flank and surround might be a good idea, since standing their ground like traditional spear infantry puts them at a disadvantage, especially compared to their Roman counterparts. I think that the developers intention of those Celtic Woodrunners, which don't appear to have any upgrade, was a tier 1 guerilla melee infantry, as opposed to guerilla spear infantry. I can only imagine how good the celts will be when they get better units.
I'm playing my first campaign as the Picts and it's tough, mainly because you start out with almost nothing. No ports and hardly even any family, and it takes forever to get your funds up enough to be able to build stuff.

Dogs are basically a cheap anti-cav unit. Usually they have a low upkeep so if you just have a hand full of them in your army and loose them at flanking enemy cavalry units you can then leave all of your other more expensive units to take out the enemy infantry and such
Alright, that makes sense. I've recorded a few episodes and haven't gotten any yet, but I'll definitely keep that in mind. The A.I. does seem to love their cavalry.

Why is blood and gore even a DLC? Shouldn't that just be included with the game?
Their excuse is that the age rating goes up if it's included in the game. I don't know enough about it, but it seems to me they could also just put it behind a tickbox.

the game is amazing but i really dont like how you build buildings, i mean i wanted to build a relegion building from the 1st round but i couldnt , same goes for ports

Maybe in the future, for the moment I'm going to focus on the Picts, I want to make sure I finish one before I start doing more.

Shogun 2 was a much more polished game at release, from what I remember. And the multiplayer maps are better. The multiplayer in this game is still unbalanced, and the problems make it seem like they should still be beta-testing it. Attila has better campaign in terms of depth, but overall I'd say that Shogun 2 is a better game than either this or Rome 2.
