    I paid a service for two years and they tore up my yard. I have narrow gates (36") so he was using a professional stand up mower. It left bad ruts from his tires and when he did the "J" turns he spun out the grass. Also he used a string trimmer to edge and trim and I had bare dirt 6" wide around everything and he dug a 3" ditch along the hard surfaces. I went back to doing it myself and it is back to the way it should be.

    I’m the same bro! Got a landscaping LLC and I can recall doing a $280 mow in the morning, 150 mow by 3pm, then a 250 mow by 6, so from 9 to 6 I made $600 mowing by myself, but I’d rather do land clearing and grading with my Bobcat, pays more, I use a gravely zt hd 60 and your echo blower and weed eater, not needed but they are great machines for larger plots

      I’ve honestly just picked up most of my yards through word of mouth. Facebook page and posting in Facebook groups is a great way. I don’t really think door hangers or similar do much these days

      I have a minimum of $40, so 40x20 would’ve made you 800 for the day

    Why do you like the stand on mower instead of a rider?

    • @TheLawnWhisperer
      @TheLawnWhisperer  2 роки тому

      I prefer standing because of my back. It’s easier to maneuver as well and easier to get off and back on if you need to pick something up. Also holds hills better than any sit down I’ve used

    Why would you start at 8:30 in the morning when the grass is still wet. If I was a homeowner I would not be happy with my grass being cut wet. Grass flows a lot better out of the mower when it is dry, usually in the afternoon.

      I own a lawn care business and not only we mow at 8 but we also mow in the rain. You couldn't tell the difference if I mowed your yard when it was dry or wet.

    I wish I could run a mowing business, but I’d feel guilty charging people for doing what I consider riding a stand-up gocart through an obstacle course challenge. I’d almost want to pay for that kind of fun.
