Hey just subscribed to the channel, I'm truly impressed with your dedicationS, above and on the ground. There will be detractors and naysayers keep your heads held high. I'm proud for you and what you are accomplishing.
Really enjoying watching your experience. I bought a piece of Idaho myself about a year ago..23 acres in Idaho County. The well was in when I bought it, the septic system is going in this week. I have been seriously considering the Arched Cabin so watching you has been very interesting & inspiring. God bless you.
That is awesome! It is definitely hard work. Sometimes UA-cam makes it look easy. Thank you for the kind words. If you are ever up this way, you can stop by and take a look if you want to see an arched cabin before you buy.
Thank you showing how you roofed an arch roof. My 1970's cabin has a similar arched roof. It currently has shingles. I'm told it shouldn't. I like those metal panels. Can you share the manufacturer? Are they simply those that are installed vertically....or is the metal roof material made specifically for horizontal installation? Thx
Thanks for the question. I’m not sure who the manufacturer is because we purchased the entire kit from Arched Cabins. The panels are 41’ long and the ribs of the panels are different than what you would find in a Home Depot. I’m sure a metal fabricator would know what type they are. You could send Arched Cabins an email to inquire. As for the direction, these go horizontal but could go vertical if they weren’t used for structural purposes.

Thanks James for subscribing and the encouraging words. We appreciate them very much!!
That would be a cool skylight! It’s really coming along you two! Keep up the great work 😀
Thanks so much!
That is a thing of beauty!
I really like the progress you’ve made.
It would be cool if that could all by a giant skylight! 😮😝👍
Haha! Thanks Jeromy!
It’s getting there! Love seeing how this cabin all comes together.
We loved working with you.
Amazing how when a community works together how things go so well
@@ChasingFreedomHomestead it was my pleasure. ☺️
@@robertbates5537 so true!
On the side of the building, you need to make a slope, so when it drains its slopes away from the structure.
That is the plan. A French drain is also something we will add.
Looking good. I still like the idea of a skylight down the middle
Thank you Bob! Seeing the stars at night would be cool.
Love watching you all
Thank you Holly!

@@ChasingFreedomHomestead I would love to see your build project! I do get up that way on occasion (we live in the TriCities ).
Hello from Spokane Valley Washington!! ❤🌻
Hello! Nice to ya👋
It’s looking great! Stay safe.
Thank you!
Slow but steady and that is the most important thing.
Thank you!
Good morning
Hello Nancy!
I hear Heather!!
Haha! She’s got a great diaphragm.
Things are moving right along now.
Thank you
ALSO THERE IS A MILL THAT WILL BEND YOU ROOF PANELS SO YOU CAN INSTALL THE VETICALLY INSTEAD OF HORIZONTALLY FOR BETTER WATER INGRESS PRIVENTION
Arched Cabins DIY kits only go horizontal.
Progress! 👏👏👏
That looks WAY bigger inside, now that it's up, versus when you had it laid out on the ground a few videos back.
It sure does! Thanks.
This reminds me of a military quonset hut
We’ve had others say the same.
Looks so good!!
Thank you Heather! We had two of the greatest helpers 😊
Love that building great job
By the way there was definitely a gaggle of giggles on that job site with all those ladies. They had way too much fun
Never a dull moment with them.
well one thing I saw is that one couple burn eggs cart to get bugs
Thanks for the tip.

.EASY!!! PUT THE ROOF PANELS ON TOP OF THE TARP THEN CUT IT OUT FROM THE INSIDE LATER!
Thanks, but no need to do that.
Why not spray foam ?
The Arched Cabin DIY kit comes with rolled insulation. You still have the option to spray foam on the inside.
How much does this arched cabin run cost wise. Ballpark figure?
The price on Arched Cabins website shows it’s $24,800…price doesn’t include shipping. You’d have to get a quote on that.
What size is y'all's cabin ?
It’s a 30x40. Thanks for asking. 😊
