We've been digging around for some old bits and bobs and found this little acoustic song.
We apologise for the slightly over enthusiastic solo!....Kids, ey?!
We found a few old photos too, so we'll pop them up as and when.
This picture is of the near mythical John and a small amount of Andy face! (also quite mythical)
Take care,
Owain, Andy, Shaun and John

panchiko really became one of my favorite bands real quick
do you know any bands with a similar sound?
@@ShotsMerkzAll maybe Radiohead and Portishead
@@ShotsMerkzAll you should try Calmine - the same depressed teenergy. start from trampoline
@@linkchikito209 if they weren’t heavily inspired by both those “heads” I’d be mind-blowingly surprised
nobody asked you
"We apologise for the slightly over enthusiastic solo!....Kids, ey?!"
i think it is just perfect
their music is so emotional to me idk why
It‘s because they‘re an emo band
@@Janik-pwoejrur wow now that you say it everything makes sense ,they truly are emo
@@gesudinazaret9259 for me they are a mix of emo, lofi, indie and shoegaze.
@@Janik-pwoejrur yea definitely but emo was the adjective that I was missing ,if you like them maybe check “glass beach “ they have a similar sound and vibe
I've been waiting all this night
For a touch, it isn't that much
I've been waiting all my life
For your drugs, just to wear off
You're the only one I trust
'Cause you're one of us
They fill your shell with love
Don't you feel so cold?
I've been working all this night
For enough, it isn't that much
I've been walking the streets all day
'Cause you'll know that my mind isn't made up
'Cause you're the only I trust
'Cause you're one of us
They fill your shell with love
Don't you feel so cold?
I'm so...
I'm so...
I'm so...
drunk as fuck on the bus, trying to sober up before going home but failing miserably, I closed my eyes and put on this song. That strange but good feeling is something completely unique and is something I'll only get to experience a few of times throughout my life. This song reminds me of that feeling.
Funny story about these guys, no one really liked them so they just threw out their tapes, one day some random guy goes into a music store and finds their cassette tape he thought this was sick and tried finding more information about them and released their music

Panchiko has consistent hits
I'm glad I discovered this channel.
I remember you from sploder
@@dismissyourself Oh? I didn't think I'd see Sploder mentioned here, or anyone from there remembering me, really, for that matter.
Funny that, while listening to music, UA-cam would recommend me a music channel that belongs to another Sploder User. What was your name 'round there if you don't mind my asking?
@@LupinticDream First, check this channel for sploder content because I uploaded the sploder soundtrack here. I'm sticki, I'm pretty sure you were good friends with Enigma right?
@@dismissyourself Ah! Hey there, sticki. Yes, Enigma and I were good pals. That was awhile ago.
Wow, UA-cam really did just bring me full circle, huh? Yeah, you were one of the members I had always wanted to talk to more, but unfortunately for myself I was too shy or whatever... Though, I am glad to have heard from you one last time, at least. You've got yourself a super nice channel here.
Thanks for taking the time to reply, it actually means a lot to me. And thank ya for uploading the Sploder OST, I'll definitely be downloading that nostalgia trip later.
@@LupinticDream Aw, I always really liked your art and enjoyed your presense so I'm glad I got to see you around when I did. Enjoy the OST!

@@diegorocha1256 nmh? Really?
Yeah, they remind me of Radiohead too. Idk, the closest thing that reminds me of this band is emo, or maybe a band like Boards of Canada, Sun City Girls is a stretch
wouldnt say it sounds like them but duster gives me the same vibe as this song.
isn't really anyone quite like panchiko
this song is under the "thefatrat's style" gibbli style and so many other thing. It feel so many emotions. Realy great job to make this beautiful song

Now I'm really starting to wonder whether it was a hoax or not...
Still haven't seen any definitive proof that it's real, and the fact that they're now releasing new music on their bandcamp makes it even more suspicious.
@@DrSpikeSpiegel i didnt write this comment originally, but you definitely need to see it
"Let's break down how much effort Panchiko would've had to put in to perfectly pull this off.
1. Find a CD in an Oxfam shop
2. Take whatever was in there out, and place their demo inside it
3. Design cover art for it, and the CD itself, and include credits for each band member
4. Somehow find a VST plugin that PERFECTLY replicates disc rot
5. Post your fake album to 4chan in 2016, but don't even upload it until someone requests it.
6. Go AWOL, never post about the album again (But apparently they were shilling it??)
7. Wait 4 fucking years for your ARG/ marketing stunt to take off, then jump at the opportunity to reissue and remaster it like you were just waiting for someone to find your location and crack it
8. Fake serial codes from 2000 and 2001 that directly lead to the exact brand
9. Somehow pull off teenager vocals despite being in your mid 30s
10. literally selling the old CD on their bandcamp along with a reissue, which could EASILY disprove it
11. Answer all questions, provide the exact equipment and hardware used, identify the samples, etc etc.
12. Somehow fit the bill exactly from the descriptions, and fit the exact genre at the time, inspired by bands at the time like Radiohead.
yeah, there's no way it's a hoax."
@@spideyjtw While the story of how the album was "found" is really interesting, I'm still just a bit skeptical. For example, in the list you posted, point number 9 doesn't seem to hold up because the band is now releasing "new" material on their bandcamp with identical-sounding vocals. Recreating the sound of bit rot is not as impossible as this post makes it out to be; the effects of bit rot can vary, and there are plenty of examples on this channel of albums that seek to recreate the distorted and compressed sound of digital bit rot.
The rest of the narrative described here is not all that far-fetched. Points 3 and 11 don't really make sense: they made the album, so of course they would be able to do those things whether the album was made in 2000 or 2016. Also, point number 10 is not true. The band was never selling the "old CD", but sold a limited edition reprint of the album where "Every purchase automatically gets entered into the draw to receive the original copy of the CD". These CDs were apparently sent out on June 18th of this year, so if anyone did get that original CD, feel free to provide the proof.
@@DrSpikeSpiegel We know that they never stopped making music after Panchiko. Andy's solo project has been active since around 2003 and there's a bunch of old articles about Owain's solo performances. It's not surprising that two active musicians would focus on their old band now that its popular.
I haven't found a 'rot recreation' that sounds quite like the real thing: ua-cam.com/play/PL7fy-p5faatso5bkcPwAzsC_ovdxyATzF.html
