BRILLIANT! I could not find a webcam anywhere! They're sold out at every major store, both online and box stores. So this came as not only a money saver but a lifesaver. Thanks, Adrian.
I'd recommend using Filmic Pro for your iPhone, because you have a ton of options, and you can use any of the available cameras on the phone, and the most important thing of all... you get a perfectly clean feed that doesn't even have the status bar visible. If you plug in the iPhone to a Mac, you can use Quicktime Player to make a new movie recording and use the iPhone as the source. There's almost zero lag (probably a couple of milliseconds), and it looks amazing. Probably will work well with Ecamm.
Adrian, thank you for this tip. Great find for $2.99. Do you think you could use it for two iphones at once...one overhead and one front facing? Or will it only register one phone? Thanks -Rachel
Sorry, can you share the video on how to add a second camera? I Don't find it and I can't add it...I have watched other videos but I can't see how to do this, thanks...
This is great. I'm a pianist doing livestream concerts. I'm going to set up my iPhone to show a close up of my hands at the keyboard. I do notice your low frame rate - 25 is a bit choppy. I think if you are doing something with quicker movement like playing an instrument or dancing etc, a higher frame rate of 50 or 60 would be better. Just downloaded the free trial. I will find out.
We tried installing it and using it. I have not been able to get it to work yet. I tried closing out Ecamm and restarting, but nothing. Any suggestions or idea on getting it to work with my mac?
The app works also with the second camera. You just have to push the camera icon that appears on the screen. However, I’ve noticed that the camera switch icon and the info buttons don’t always appear on the app. A small glitch. But, both cameras work with this app on a iPhone 7.
Thank you! I’ve been searching for a way to use my phone rather then my built in camera on my laptop. While it’s a great camera my iPhone one is better. Now I’ll be able to use it!

I tried it once, with two iPhone 7s and it didn't seem to recognize the other iPhone as a camera source. I'm trying to decide if I should buy a mirrorless DSLR video camera or just get a new iPhone 11Pro for table top, and then use my old iPhone for my front facing camera feed. Clear as mud? phone only
Thanks for making this video. I’m having trouble after about two minutes with a frozen screen. And I turn off my passcode to make sure that the phone does not block automatically. Any suggestions?
Re: Shoot - It’s just way too buggy, at least with my iPhone Pro Max with Ecamm. There’s no way to get around the auto lock, and it focuses when it wants to. Requested a refund from Apple.
Michael Green II it’s working great for me 🤷♂️
Adrian Salisbury I won’t give up I’ll keep troubleshooting - thanks !
@@Entrepreneurs_in_Asia came here looking for an answer to this, so thanks for sharing because I'm having the exact same problem. About to go get my refund.
Does this app work with zoom?
Ok I do have a hearing problem - I didn’t get the name of the app. And I don’t see it below ( sorry if It’s there and I don’t see it). Could you please list the name of the app. Thank You

Is there a similar solution for Ecamm using a Samsung/Andrdroid phone camera?
Ryan Trotti dont think so
@@AdrianSalisbury well that sucks!
the camera is not lip-sync, isn't it?!
Thank you for this Adrain. I used those other apps and I kept getting disconnected which was embarrassing. And I never understood why we just couldn't plug our iPhone into our computer via USB without having a special app, but I will have to try this out!
BTW...I'm not sure if you're making some content for using the GoPro Hero 9 as a webcam with Ecamm Live, but that would be cool!
Jason Stallworth o experience with one sorry, someone in the Ecamm Community group will for sure 👍
I was going to ask ecamm if they had this as a feature!
CHRISTOPHER COOK and now you know 😁
Thank you - I had literally this question! I think also if I change the default frame rate that my iphone uses then it might be useful as a *main* camera to use for ecamm live because I don't yet have a webcam and my iphone camera is better than the one on my macbook air. Does that makes sense?
yes, go for it!
it looks like it's not working for Android phones?
That was great Adrian! Thank you for putting that together. Testing this one out today!!
Hi Adrian! Loved this video! Can you link the phone holder you used on the mic stand?
amzn.to/39xYj5z and amzn.to/2Iq8ddB 👍
@@AdrianSalisbury thank you so much!
you're welcome
Any model of iphone?
ขอบคุณครับ 🙇🏻♂️
very smart example. thanks
How long can extend that cable. Need to get to front of church from back
with a phone? Not more than a couple of meters I imagine.
Thanks for this! Will iPhone be the mic source too? Or if I have a rode mic, would I have to still use it with my laptop?
Hey Adrian. Need PRO plan?
No it will work with the basic plan
@@AdrianSalisbury Thanks.
Hello Adrian, thank you very much for this video. It helped me a lot
Anyone know why the time always displays as 9:41 on the iPhone when it's connected to ecamm?
It’s an iOS thing, not related to ecamm.
I haven’t read all the comments, but in case nobody else has verified that this camera keeps your phone from sleeping....it does. We’ve gone for up to an hour with my phone set to sleep in 30 seconds, and it hasn’t gone to sleep.
WHAT IS THE NAME OF THE APP 4 THE IPHONE?
Sync Media Network this particular one is: apps.apple.com/us/app/shoot-clean-camera-feed/id964565026 but there are many others out there.
@@P3REiiRANO Thank you
If you are on Android, head over to Iriun dot com. They have a Webcam app for the Mac and for Android or iOS phones that will appear as a camera in Ecamm Live. Can connect either by WiFi (the Mac and the phone need to be on the same WiFi network for this) or by USB cable.
the people pays you to learn this? you are a genius. selling ice to penguin
Anything for Android?
I got it working using EpocCamPRO for £5.99. Visite here > www.kinoni.com/#
Install the drivers, buying the app. It streams off wifi so you need a good speed. I tried it directly with USB, but not sussed that yet as ECamm won't pick it up as a USB input.
ทำไมโปรแกรมของฉันสะดุด !???
you just saved me like 200 dollars!!
Glad it was helpful!
If it could use rear facing camera that would be good
A great one we've started using is MoviePro - it allows you to create some really effects as well and really highlights all of the qualities of the iPhone camera. I hope that helps. Thanks for all your content too :)
