      Dallas Loney I don’t agree with your assessment seeing as diesels are cleaner than gas and I know many people which have over 250000 mi and are going strong and you can look up 500000 and greater reviews on UA-cam

    The body does change with age. In my mid 20’s I could real-bench 300 lbs and run a couple miles no prob ...now at 41 the numbers are down ....but I chuckled when you said you wanted to show those 20 year olds you still got it. You’ve got more than they may ever, in nearly every other aspect of your life but lifting. And that’s a heckova lot better way to have it. PS: Thank the Lord for all of the blessings He gave ya!! I still have not driven a 2020 ford diesel but once weather is nicer I can’t wait!

    My 2021 F250 gets 24 to 25 mpg in eco mode. My commute is 60mph or less on the speed. On the interstate i get 22.5 to 23 doing 75mph.

    Give that same mpg run a try in slippery mode. You will be surprised. Regulates your throttle/power even more and keeps the truck in a higher gear than eco.

    I live in the Washington DC area in the USA where traffic is horrible around the clock, so I would bet having an eco mode would add up very quickly here since even the highways are stop and go. For the record the previous 6.7 powerstroke around here gets about 16 miles per gallon and the 6.2s get about 13. Both below normal but the stop and go seems to hurt the diesels a lot more

    • @workplaytv
      @workplaytv  4 роки тому +1

      john doe Well the stop and go with a diesel is much easier on fuel than the V8. They don’t really use any fuel idling and have so much low end HP and torque.

    Hi there. Good video's. The view from your new mount is much better. I live in the northern part of Utah and we have some steep grades - up and down , obviously. Have you done a video on the engine brake? My 2013 6.7 F350 doesn't have one and just wondering on your experience. Will use the tow haul on steep grades or even in traffic on level ground but I believe the engine brake is the way to go. Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Thought I would share some thoughts on fuel fill ups.
    Not sure how you do your fill ups but I know am NOT a fan of how TFL (The Fast Lane) fills up their trucks for testing at the Gauntlet, etc.
    They fill the truck until it “clicks”, wait 30 seconds & fill it again until it clicks.
    When i do my fuel testing, I fill the tank until the fuel is right at the edge of the filler neck. It takes a little bit more time squeezing the fuel nozzle gently to minimize the foaming of the diesel but when I put the fuel cap one, I KNOW the tank was FULL each time I filled up.

    On normal mode I Sometimes get better mileage than eco. Maybe because reign happened during eco. Also use the throttle harder in eco cause we are used to the power. I pay more attention to regine than I used to.

      You can see when its in regen on the 2020. On my very first regen I had a pop up on the dash screen and watched the soot percent go down to zero. I lost 1.5 mpg during the 20 minute, 65 mph highway driving regen. It was with 500 miles on the truck.
      There is a screen for individual tire pressures on my 2020 dually. It will also display trailer tire pressures assuming you have the Ford sensors installed.

      @@natehawkins2910 Here's an update. After you're questions I got the owner's manual out and went through it sitting in the truck.
      While I can see how full the filter is (in percent), I was unable to find the actual menu option to manually initiate the regen.
      Apparently during initial set up the Ford dealership did not notice that I had paid (about $250.00) to have that option. I have an appointment this Thursday to get that option enabled and will report back.

  • @gavinry
    @gavinry 4 роки тому +1

    I've been watching your videos for the past few weeks and hoping you can help me out. I'm planning on purchasing an F350 srw powerstroke XLT this year. There's a few 2019 leftovers in my area, but the 2020 hp and torque increases have me second guessing a 2019. It's a daily driver and I'm not towing anything more than 12k regularly, just a dump trailer and a deckover flatbed. I'm planning on keeping this truck indefinitely, so I want to make the right decision. Since I can get the 2019 pretty heavily discounted, in your opinion is the 2020 hp torque and transmission upgrades worth the ~$10k increase in price over the 2019?

    • @workplaytv
      @workplaytv  4 роки тому +2

      Garvin Yu Well I love what they have done and I feel the power toeing heavy but my 17 and towed 12-18k no problem. The 6 speed is proven to be reliable and with in good discounts the 19 is a great option. Just don’t drive a 2020 or you will want one. Lol

    • @gavinry
      @gavinry 4 роки тому +1

      workplaytv Thanks for taking the time to respond, your videos are very informative. Yeah I'm leaning towards the 2019, but I don't want to regret not getting the 2020 improvements years down the line.

    • @gavinry
      @gavinry 4 роки тому

      One more if you don't mind: For just driving (not towing), does the 2019 with the derringer tuner compare to the 2020 stock? How about while towing? Thanks!

    • @workplaytv
      @workplaytv  4 роки тому

      Garvin Yu The 2020 still has quicker acceleration off the line and more low in power daily driving in towing but it probably has more to do with the transmission than anything

    • @tinstar5080
      @tinstar5080 4 роки тому

      I was in the same situation as you are. You won't regret either truck. Both will pull that 12k with ease. I have first had knowledge with the 2019 (towing/mpg's/ect.) and bought a 2020. The 2020 with the 10 speed will get a little better mpg's and you won't need a tuner on the 2020 power wise. Get the 3:31 rear gear with the 2020.

      If I am not mistaken that was from the seat belts sparking when under heavy pressure such as a wreck. There was a recall on it. And ford was not the only manufacturer that used the defective seatbelts

    • @lashbera
      @lashbera 4 роки тому +1

      Ford and now almost every other manufacturer has had a recall for that. All manufacturers get parts from outside sources and those seatbelt pretensioners are one of those parts, no one builds their own. Its just like the takata air bags that caused almost every car in the world to be recalled. Just because a vehicle caught on fire putting blame on the manufacturer is a rash decision.
