Good choice. I tried it, and as well as the variety of other issues the mouths move completly independantly of the voices - straight up feels like an Alpha at times.
Same, I’m SHOCKED how bad it is for a game coming out in 2022. The character models and graphics are also unacceptable in comparison to Detroit Becomes Human and Until Dawn.

Recently started playing Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines and that game has such charm its crazy for an older game.

Recently became aware of this series and was bummed when I saw bloodhunt was multiplayer. Very cool that they are also coming out with a single player game.
You should try it vampire the masquerade bloodlines. With the unofficial plus patch.

I always liked the VTM world and wish they'd have done more with it over the years. Lately it seems, at least in gaming, they are trying to do more. Quality is debatable on some of the projects, but I can overlook a lot when it comes to settings I like. Thanks for the review, I was really curious about this game and there are not many reviewers I trust.
Blood hunt is a good shooter but it’s ugly and let’s be real here; it’s a BR. A BR with a small community at that. The biggest shame of bloodhunt is that it’s a good shooter, but not a great one.
I had literally never heard of this game until this video, I thought it was gonna be about the battle royale lol. Looks interesting, I've always been a big fan of vampires.
There is a Vampire battle royale, but it's made by a different studio.

we were suppose to get 3 games from this IP this year but Bloodlines 2 got stuck in development hell.
If you've never played Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines you should check it out if you're on PC. It's an older game so its a bit clunky and buggy but considered a classic rpg. Part 2 is scheduled to come out later this year no sure if thats still on track though
Some of those facial animations are reminding me of Mass Effect Andromeda at launch...
Unfortunate that the game is a little rough in some places, but it looks like it may be worth picking up still

The guy with the glued-on beard looks like such a cheap knock-off of the guy from Vampyr to the point that it almost seems an easter egg.
I had no idea who was behind developing the game, but hearing it at the start of the video definitely got me interested!

Great review mate. Vampires will always be my favourite folklore ever since I seen bram strokers vampire movie. Well except when they sparkle.
I'm definitely interested in the game. But I'll probably wait for a sale mostly because I've decided to tackle my backlog again.
Uh I have been waiting for this for ages. I wanted to play the original game when I was a kid but never got a chance to do so.
Why the hell are there so many Vampire: The Masquerade games being made when the only one people actually want from WoD is still stuck in development hell for almost 20 years. None of them are even RPGs and they're all mediocre. Nobody wants to play a linear story from this franchise or a goddamn battle royale wtf??? Text rpgs? Why? I could just play the V:TM pen & paper game. Dafaq is this? I can't believe Bloodlines 2 isn't even being made anymore and we get all this garbage nobody asked for. Paradox should sell this IP to somebody who could do something.

Surprised this is actually a game and not yet another Visual Novel in the Masqarade universe.
It's unfortunate that the voice acting is such a big disappointment. It's also unfortunate that the opening level is so boring and uninteresting and that it takes the game a while to really get going. I was looking forward to playing Vampire: The Masquerade Swansong until I watched this review. I'll give the game a shot once it goes on sale. Thanks once again Karak!

Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines was my first introduction to the vampire sires as a whole
The graphics look a bit off, but I'd like to think that this game is similar to how KH 0.2 A Fragmentary Passage was to KH3, or how MGS Phantom Pain was TO MGSV: A demo disguised as a full game as a means to test new gameplay mechanics.

i swear some of the voices were done by some of the LA by Night crew. One of those characters sounded a lot like Erika.

Characters are still looking better than in Mass Effect Andromeda. But its a close one.

I've been wanting to play Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines for a long time now but have never gotten around it. Wish there's more vampire related games so I'll definitely check this game out!

It blows my mind that a company can take a masterpiece in gaming, a real classic that never ages, and then completely ruin a sequel by ignoring the source material. I just want a Masquerade: Bloodlines sequel, but apparently that's too much to ask for.
Might give this game a try, it wasn't on my radar until seeing this video. Never played the original masquerade but have heard great things about it.
I'll wait till a sale happens for VTMS occurs and all too, its a lot cheaper than paying the full price on either regular yet its Deluxe edition of the game etc.

Hmmmm, even though vampires aren’t usually my thing (I’m more of a zombie girl) I’ve still been casually keeping an eye out for this one, hoping we’d get a intriguing story based game. I trust your reviews Karak, so based on the awful voice acting and slow start, think I’ll reach for this when it hits the sale.

Just finished it and, other than the weird 1999 facial animations, I loved it. Still didn't quench the thirst for Bloodlines 2 though...

They were working on one already but I don't know the status of it now. All the lead developers were fired or quit and I haven't seen anything on it in a year or two. I'm hoping they're using all these smaller games to gauge interest and to continue development of Bloodlines 2.

Had my eye on this for some time, I really enjoyed the council and Vampyr so I can look past the rough edges as long as there is a good game at the core.

This game has been on epic store frontpage for months, if didn't sell majestically it's a total failure. I skipped cause I have seen some woke red flag
I guess we wont get that 'Bloodlines' epic type game, I have been waiting since early 2000's.

My obsession with vampires will get me this game at some point, same with V rising and The Masquerade: Bloodlines 2 when that comes out. But I always enjoy these reviews, entertaining and informative at the same time.

The environment and textures are so good but then you look at their faces.
If you replace the world with robot vampires you can look past the robotic faces and stiff movements.
Now I kinda feel like replaying vampyr after seeing this game.

*Oddly enough I been waiting for this game, and the battle Royale version was the one I didn't hear about. I thought this was going to be an open world vampire action rpg.*
Went on sale, searched for data, found this video, can't make my own character. HARD. PASS. It's like a conspiracy to disallow cool vampire content. Bloodlines was the end. Utterly tragic.
Lol you would make a mt. dew reference. This game looks interesting. Not something I'd buy at full price, but something I'd play on sale or a subscription service. I've never played any of these games, except the blood hunt free to play. I hear great things about the bloodlines, and I want to see what these games are about.
Better review than I was expecting, honestly. I'll probably wait for a deep sale to play it, but I'm glad V:tM is still limping along in relevancy.
