Makeupbilly's Horror Movie Review- Satans Slaves and Satans Slaves Communion

So today i'm hitting you with such a treat- Satan's Slaves and Satan's Slaves Communion are probably my new favorite in that spooky ghost story/zombie genre. They really knew how to put the fear in the viewers and kept the dead ones looking and feeling ALIVE. the fx were great as well as the story is so well done you gotta set yourself up to watch both back to back!

I highly recommend the Indonesian horror films “Impetigore(2019) and The Queen of Black Magic(2019), both films are available on shudder, also these two films are written by Joko Anwar (the same director as Satan Slaves franchise).

As a kid I actually found the casper figure quite creepy in the live action movie, with that cartoonish look all puffy and rounded with huge eyes, in a world with real people with normal faces... But the same was with who framed roger rabbit. 😅

6:20 the "body bags" is just like white cloth in Indonesian they call it "kain kafan", that's just how typically how Muslim are buried in their funerals, because the believe that we came to this world basically wearing nothing, and when we die, we also going back to God in a pure condition with just pure white cloth. The kinda like popular urban legend, or folk horror stories in Indonesia there's ghost called pocong which basically like a ghost of a person in that "body bag" white cloth/kain kafan.

@@makeupbilly you're welcome. Forgot to add the kinda funny part. That ghost 'pocong', it can only go after you by jumping around because the whole body including their feet are inside that body bag, lol. Some say they can turn their size bigger/taller.

My dude I got like 45 minutes into a Indonesian movie called satan’s slaves from the 80’s and realized it’s the wrong movie 🤦🏻‍♂️

if you can find it, you should watch another indonesian horror movie, KKN di desa penari. as a witch with a familiar, it has a good portrayal of someone with a familiar and how they protect against other spirits, and the general way evil spirits and entities manipulate humans.
