We have a rules change meeting every single year shortly after the Super Bowl. Everyone is allowed to recommend one rule change and the commissioner can recommend up to two. Then it requires a 70% affirmation for the change to go through otherwise it doesn't and we move on.

This last season in redraft I took Ceedee 1.01 and everyone thought I was crazy then got St.Brown in the second round every league I doubled up on them both.

Jefferson had 68 catches 1074 yards and 5 tds in 9.5 games and only had kirk for 5.5 of those games. Crazy

After experimenting with rules for a decade I’ve found the perfect balance is PP1D(Point per 1st Down) + 1/4 PPR and 1/4 PPR TE Bonus. And on Sleeper they do not score TDs as a 1st down as well.

As an experiment, I've implemented both the "play against the League Average" and "play against the League Median" scoring systems in a few of my Dynasty leagues. TBH, it didn't really make a difference in terms of overall standings by the end of the season. Basically the good teams are the good teams & the mid teams are the mid teams & the bad teams are the bad teams - it didn't really "reward" or boost the teams who got screwed out of some wins. Not only that, it actually causes a bit of confusion once you're about halfway through the season bc it's hard to tell what the records really indicate. If you remove the special scoring & just went by regular records, they basically turned out the same. Just my two cents from someone who's tried it.
I am not a fan of the league median scoring. I feel like it takes away from the head-to-head match-ups. Might as well do away with head-to-head and just do total points. The phrase is "Any Given Sunday" for a reason.
You guys should add more to the stats such as h2h matchups vs a player or what you guys were discussing about the median. Could show a stat or record of how many times they were top half or bottom half or even how often they hit their projection.
I'm confused how they would do that? That would have to be something the platform or the league does.
Matchup vs. median is a team matchup, not individual players.
@@xiii-Dex I thought it would show up in h2h matchups as a W-L record showing what you've done vs them and maybe another record or percentage showing how often you hit the median. It would be a feature they would have to add to the platform for everyone however they could put it as an option for the league commissioner.

Would it be better to add a half Win for the median vs a full Win? I feel like the full Win lessens the matchup Win, which should still be the more important win.

The most surprising stat is that Evan Engram was 4th in receptions this year only behind st brown, Ceedee, and Tyreek.
Interesting thought. Lovie Smith gave the Texans brass a giant middle finger when he scratched and clawed the win in his last game. Knowing they most definitely wanted the 1st pick. I wonder where the dominoes would have gone flying around if he hadn't. It's possibly a completely different landscape. Have watched you guys for a very long time. Much enjoyment. And I am an old guy. I was in a dynasty league that drafted Peyton Manning in his rookie year. Didn't really know what was going on for the first 10 years. Just thought my buddy was crazy for having us keep 25 players. 😂
We have a substitution rule which allows you to take minus 3 and put in a WR for a RB or a TE. We voted 3 RBs is never allowed.
Every year I call for a vote. That when starting an extra TE you should not take a minus 3. Because there's so few good ones and they do what wrs do. Catch the ball. Every year it's declined
NFL needs a rule to implement another flag toss for penalties. Similar to the red flag for coaches they should be able to throw 2 flags to challenge a wrongful penalty call. To many game changing penalties now adays.
I definitely do not like that scoring change, the league median, the only scoring change I have done is with an odd number of fantasy teams is every week a team gets matched up against the league average and even that I try to stay away from, but the league median, no likey
League median scoring is phenomenal. I would also recommend a punishment for last place. Even though they get the first pick in the draft, comes with a price and that's always fun.
Washington is super interesting this year. If Kingsbury and Lynn work together and form a competent, balanced offense, and if the QB they draft hits, then the ceiling is extremely high for everyone. But what are the odds that it happens? Not super high. I think 2025 will be the year to target them, once the roster and staff has a year under their belt to learn and grow

Because Tank Dells injury was actually worse. But also Tank Dell does not kill Nico's value. Especially with a QB like Stroud, that offense can support more than one good weapon. If you think Nico is dead because of Tank, you are in for a shock. Those two don't play the same position. Both can eat.
I have a .5 first down scoring format and had no idea players were getting 6.5 for a touchdown
I also do .25 for a passing first down so mobile QBs aren’t too op

This might not make much difference, but in the movies Voldemort doesn't come out until movie 4 or 5, 2005+2007, he's only hinted at prior to that. I could be wrong, I'm no Harry Potter expert.

We use first downs in one of my leagues and I love it.
First downs! Gotta have it, I am in a league where we can not intro PPR in any way, and this would be the only way to get some additional points in.
I think the team who signed Voldemort might not care as much about PR as the rest of the league.
I need clarification on League Median b/c i've seen two versions. Do 6 teams get a win and 6 teams get a loss or can 1 high scoring team (or 1 low scoring team) skew the average and allow for 5 wins and 7 losses or vice versa?
It's split by median, not average, so it will always be even with half the teams above and half below

Both myself the highest scoring team and our 3rd highest scoring team both missed the playoffs this year I lost 6 out of my 7 games to the highest scoring team.. we will definitely be voting on league median scoring this year

I don't understand why tank vs nico is such a big debate...one guy is undersized coming off a broken leg (granted he did put up some big numbers in multiple games last season) but Nico checks all the boxes of a wr1, and he was rolling at the end of the yr and putting up crazy #'s in the play offs. How anyone could rank Tank above Nico , please explain cause I really don't get it.
Tank is just the new hotness. Nico has been under rated. His first two seasons were a bad first impression and most people aren't smart enough to realize that was a coaching and QB problem holding him back. I'm a Nico owner in dynasty so I agree he's a great option, even with Tank Dell. We see it a lot that a good QB and good offense can support more than one top tier weapon.
@@jonathanhaven1690 ya, agreed. I think they will both be good options especially in PPR with CJ throwing the ball but I still want the big dude that can catch 10+ TD's going up against any coverage. I think what sets them apart for me is the potential TD ceiling seems much higher for Nico.

Sorry but I don't like hockey league scoring I won my reg season league championship w a 12-3 record n overall league championship and I was the fifth highest scoring team in my league so...uh..NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
