I found your channel yesterday or so and I've probably watched all your videos ranging from now to 2 years ago! I'm actually obsessed and inspired and I can't wait to try out some of your recipies. Your channel has shown me some things I was doing wrong when it comes to formulating and has shown me the importance of emulsifiers, surfactants, thickeners, preservatives, etc! I can't wait to get adventurous with making products. Thank you 💕
@@TaraLeee i gots a question for you tho. If one does not have access to distilled water what can you do. In the Caribbean where i am from we do not have distilled water. We have natural waters like spring water and rain water. Can these be used?

Here is my problem with carbomer, upon using it the first time the gel is good, however when i use the powder after a week or a month, the powder it produces becomes a grainy gel, why so?
I really love all of ur videos and the products u sell. You’re amazing! But I’m just wondering, are all of ur products certified? Do you have a certified cert that all of ur products are safe to use?

Hey Tara, in your video for the « PH Test » => why u used only a « small portion of your final product »? Why don’t U use the « whole final product » to test the PH?
you don't want to use the whole product as you will contaminate the product by putting in your ph meter. So you just want to separate a bit of the product so you aren't dipping your ph meter directly into your product. Also for creams and thicker products you have to dilute it to get an accurate reading as ph meters (unless specified than can) can't get a ph reading from viscous products.
if they are properly preserved you don't need to refrigerate them, unless you enjoy applying a cold moisturizer. You can just store them where you typically keep your moisturizers, bathroom shelf, cabinet, vanity, etc.
Where did you learn formulating ? Would love to start learning but idk how to start. Can I teach myself by reading books ? Can you recommend me good books for learning ? 🙏
hi there ..i have a request and wonder if u have any recipes that u could demonstrate with it. The one i really want is a hp cream/rebatch soap that people make a lot of soap flowers piping on cakes.I cant find even one..only lots of cold process piping or mp whipped with foaming base or float soap types...do u have one u could share?
I don't make soap, so I don't know. I'm sorry I can't help. I use to make liquid soap and dabbled a little bit in cold process soap, but that was a few years ago.
Tara, thank for the explanation, I agree regarding the contamination If the test « small portion » show that u should raise or lower your PH => will u use the same « tested small portion » to lower/raise or u will get another « test small portion » sample of your final product? (Same process for toner & serum)? Sorry it confusing
you will add your buffer solution to your main batch. Mix and let it sit for about a minute. Then check the ph again my creating another 10% dilution of your product.
TaraLee Thank for the explanation 🙌 In your next video, if you have a case that need to raise or lower your product => could you please record and explain, show us how you do it , so we can « visualize » Many thank
You did it again @Taralee Love this video. What can one use in place of LotionPro165 as it is not available in my country? Can one use hydroethylcellulose in place of sodium carbomer in this recipe?
lotion pro is a combination of Glyceryl Stearate and PEG 100 Stearate. So if you can get your hands on both of those you could use that. If not, another emulsifier like ritamulse SCG would work fine. The end product will come out a bit different than mine though.
Hey taralee would it it possible to use blended ripe bananas and avocados in a hair mask and and preserve it effectively if so which preservative do u think would best preserve
Can you do a video using carbomer 940 or a carbomer that is not pre neutralized it’s to hard to get sodium carbomer her but carbomer is a lot easier can you neutralize carbomer at the end and still get the same results

@@TaraLeee that's even worse😢what we have here in Nigeria is e-wax and for a high price olivem 1000
You can try using ewax or olivem 1000 as well. It should would too
I tried it with emulsifying wax 3% it works fine and I also added 2% glyceryl monosterate to reduce the rub in time, but this is optional.
Sophix natural sells lotion pro sis
a little bit different ingredients want to know the uses pls help me in the payment option in ur blog post thank you it was amazing video💗
Hey please babe make a video how make silicone base serum
gotcha! I'll see what I can do.
Hello. Did you put any silicone in ?
Suggested pH in moisturizers should only be between 5 - 5.5, right?
How can I add a scent to this? Can’t wait for more videos!
Yup, but it will fade away soon when u open it, so you need another substance to keep it along the use
Thank you! May i ask where you got those glass dishes from?
They are called watch glass and I purchase them on amazon.
@@TaraLeee Thank you!! I don't know where you get the time to make, run your shop, make and edit the vids AND answer comments!!! 🥰

Can we add essential oil like lavender or rose ???
You definitely can
For only body or with face?
Hi i know this video has nothing to do with cleansers but do you know much about peg 7 glyceryl cocoate?
I've never used peg 7 glyceryl cocoate before, but check with your supplier for the formulating guidelines.
TaraLee can you do a video about how to test products. Like microbial tests?
Euuda this is something that needs to be sent of to a lab
From where do you get your ingredients
I link to where I purchase my ingredients in the description box of each video I post
What is this good for?
It is definitely best for normal to oily skin types.
what is lotion pro? what’s in it?
lotionpro 165 INCI:Glyceryl Stearate (and) PEG 100 Stearate
👍👍👍👍💯
