@OFFLINE YT Agreed. The other channels that aren't teaching how to do things keep repeating themselves over and over. BUT, something like Liron's channel should go slower when describing step by step instructions. I had to go full screen to read his command prompts and keep my command screen minimized and go back and forth by pausing. Perhaps the solution is to have the steps shown in the description. We could then copy/print it. JMHO

I have a question...why do speed test results vary so greatly from one minute to the next? Is that normal, if so, should I take an average of maybe 3-4 tests?

RV (Recreational Vehicles) parks are a problem..as the campsite offers free wifi but a ton of congestion...will try your recommendations to see if we can improve our reception. Keep up the great info!

@Don Maycock sir, Free wifi has always slow in connection because of too many users on it, seconded is it also vulnerable to you. I suggest do not use them.

I love you! No homo really though thanks for explaining the things you do ive been so frustrated after the cable connector broke on the back of my xbox one x its been awful trying to get a good connection especially with fallout76
Also, if using wifi to connect to the internet, your wifi card also has limitations. E.g. My router is cable of delivering 1270 mbps, but my internet speed is 600 mbps down & up, and the wifi card in my laptop is only capable of speed up to 100 mbps. So, even though I'm paying for 600 mbps, I'll never get speeds greater than 100mbps via wifi on my laptop. I do get 600mbps if I am hard wired to my router.
to configure the dns address it is under Network setup>
>DHCP server setting, and then static DNS 1,2,3 is it ok to continue configuring

I have an AT&T Fiber modem/router combo. I accessed the admin area, and it shows the current primary and secondary dns servers, but I can find no option to change those addresses. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Great Stuff! Great Review ;-) I have a question reguarding the statement " You can't get more bandwidth than your ISP gives you!" However some folke like myself only get one WIFI channel per reciver. I know Combining 2 WIFI channels (not from the same device), into a single channel with improved speed/bandwidth can be relized useing Specealized Router. Would love to see that someday?

great question - some VPNs still allow you to change the DNS so you would need to experiment and see which is fast/ safer and works with your VPN

True with your other video the for faster internet by going into the settings I speeded up my wifi be 15mbs, that's still a lot I think.

I have a quick line but on the 2.4 setting it doesn't run 1080 consistently but on 5.8 it easily does

If your on virgin or BT BB don't bother looking in hub setting for DNS it don't have them so you cant change .your have to do it on equipment like laptop phone or fire stick TV manually

Hi do I need the netgear genie app on my computer because I can't get it on playstore but on my phone I get it but it doesn't have the advanced settings like you do in the video
If you use windows, get an app called wifi Analyzer from the store.

But its capped at 144mbps
I switched bandwidth to 40mhz

find an old router and turn it into a repeater, YT has videos on this. Hope it helps

Maybe your problem occurs when too many user use it at the same time or one of your family members running a bandwidth-hungry service, like streaming 4K/High Resolution or downloading large files. There is no way to reduce ping by setting your router instead a some of solution might help you. Try to move your laptop nearer your router

Some isp manage and lock the gateway device. Ask their customers support

If you have 5GHz, it provides faster speed but at shorter distance. If you connect to the 2.4GHz WiFi you will get slower speeds but at greater distance.
The other option is to get repeater and WiFi boosters

I have an xfinity wifi router where do I find the settings?
There is a few ways to do it but first off
Try typing your IP Address into your internet browser, (If you don’t know it just type *Whats my IP Address* and copy and paste it. Then it will take you to a login to your router. Go on the back or under your router and find the login.
Then you would want to find the Advanced settings to configure these settings. If this helped please let me know ;)
On my computer it tells me 1Gbs however when I do a speed test I get 105gbs? Any reason for this please and thank you 🙏

I got no "renew" button.. Im sure you know for what point of the video i am talking about.. Im talking about the point when you "refreshing" your (Lease Obtained & Lease Expires) section..
If you release, and there is no renew I assume that your isp will simply give you one. If not reboot router and it should connect. To be safe, call the isp and double check.
