You and I have the exact same car and am having light issues but am unsure where the fuse diagram is located can you help? It’s not in my book that I was provided with
@@glenwoodjenkins3018 Hii, i am having the same issue with my 523i, new starter, new battery relay, new starter relay but the car still doesn’t crank. What was the issue with your battery cable?
Just a foot note... did you run a vehicle test to see if you had any faults present to be found before beginning to run any tests and diagnose good idea to run faults.. good video.
Yo, that would be legit if you can tell me what was wrong with my 02 525i BMW I'm. I was driving down the road and it kind of started sputtering and then it died it won't even turn over and show - lights after it has been sitting for about a year and I charge the battery for over 8 hours on a trickle charger, the lights still won't show up on the dash warning what could be wrong with the car. It would be freaking sweet dude if you got a hold of me bro
i hope ur right bro cause my bmw took a crap at 2am in downtown LA a few blocks away from skid row and let me tell u there are amazing technicians amongst homeless community and my car got towed now i gotta spend 300 to get it out but i’m unable to drive it FML btw i had a gallon of water had opened on top of the battery and none of the yellow lights on the dash light up the middle screen keeps turning on and off repeatedly so i’m sure that i. few fuses blew!! please help me thank u everyone
@@narbehakanikominas3226 Not sure about the lights, but BMW should disconnect that wire on every car! I sold new BMW'S for years, I wish I would have known about this years ago. The mechanics are clueless about this problem and it cost me a fortune. I haven't had a starting problem since I disconnected that wire in over a year. It's a free solution to a big problem! Let me know if it helped
Check and replace the cas relay it is behind the globe compartment it is only $ 20.00 original from BMW that may fix your problem. I had exactly the same symptoms on my 06 325i and fix it replacing this relay thanks to a video that I watched on u tube from electric car repair
I think the 3series and 5series has different location for the relay as yours might be in the glove compartment, the 5series would be in the rear trunk.
@@doggboy6688 its literally where the battery is located along with the fusebox. All you have to do is follow the positive cable that connects to the box and the relay is literally next to it as it sticks out you can’t miss it.
It’s the damn negative battery sensor! My cousin and I got stranded after work and he has a 2006 550i BMW. We spent hours trying to find out why the car won’t start… locked steering wheel? Battery dead? Alternator? And so on. Thanks to this comment section we unplugged the negative battery cable sensor wire (thin little set of wires connected to the battery black wire). After that it started up immediately. The thing is that he also replaced his battery 2 weeks prior to this issue. I guess programming it with a BMW technician is crucial. Thank you UA-cam!
Bmw suck , keep them in Europe along with all the shady mechanics and manufacturers. These cars are designed to fell and have the owner pay just as much in repairs and parts as they did for the whole car.
Hi Guys until this moment I have this problem no Crank no start I destroyed my car I took every cover out to check fuses no today I took it to specialist he said I have never seen problem like that he said I will do research try to know what’s it bmw 525d 2007
You should have registered the battery, the computer remembers the old one and tries to handle it the same way (meaning the charging will be messed up and you can destroy the new battery or burnout by over charging, ie feeding high voltage to a number of other systems). Also when you disconnect the battery you wipe the memory on a number of the other systems on the car, you should jump the car from the engine points to keep the systems powered while you swap out the battery. The Internal Battery Management System (IBS) which has an explosive safety disconnect on the red (plus) connector on the battery can get triggered, the accessories will still work but power to the starter is cut, this normally happens after triggering the airbags but can happen by doing other stupid things to the car (you can check this by jumping from the red post on the battery to the red post jump point in the engine compartment, which will get power to the starter, although the engine will stay running once you disconnect the jumper cable, the charging system will not work unless you leave the jumper hooked up, I did this to drive the car to the shop for service).
I have a 2010 535i no crank no start also it won't come out of gear check fuses in trunk, glove box all good, could it be the one under the coul that is messing up everything up
To get into neutral remove cover on stick shift, there is a cover to the upper left that can be removed with the key, under it is a slot, pull down the section in the slot holding it keeps it neutral.
Yes I did, my problem was starter and I replace the starter the problem was solved. but it was hard to get to starter and if you have mechanical knowledge you can do it.
Maynrd Wright Wright Hi guys please help, My e90 325 I got into an accident there after when I shift gearlever to manual or sport mode it doesn't respond, any idea why?
My BMW X 5 messed me twice yesterday, it could not start, the battery is ok, i changed fuel pump just two weeks back, this morning it failed to start again, it fails to start and i insist till it starts what is the problem here?

Stephanie Martinez ,what exactly the light issue?
My car have exact same problem. Can someone advice if they found solution.
my problem was bad starter and I replaced the starter and fixed the issue
And what is the problem on your BMW? i have the same problems
Its more an likely to be the IBS Measuring / Evaluating Function has a bad circuit board an needs to be replaced.
Ok thanks for your help :)

Hii, i am having the same issue with my 523i, new starter, new battery relay, new starter relay but the car still doesn’t crank.
What was the issue with your battery cable?
It was the positive wire from the trunk, that goes towards the front of the engine compartment. It was corroded near the back seat

Disconnect the negative battery cable and then just disconnect the Intelligent Battery Sensor wire from it. This is the problem!

did you tap it first and have it try to crank ?
Navid Ranjbari-Sisan mine isn't cranking or turning over should I change starter??
I replaced my starter twice, 3 batteries and 2 alternators. The actual problem is the IBS wire connected to the negative battery cable. Disconnect it!
Before you replace the starter was you getting dashboard lights
