Her outfits are exquisite. Clothing was made beautifully and they dressed so lovely daily.

Especially her outfit by the cemetary, gloves and all.

Today's tv shows, movies and actors are horrible!!!

Always pleases me to find younger people finding these superb older shows and really enjoying them,
Even dressed as an "Average Housewife", Julie Adams looks fanTAStic...
WOW! And SHE just passed away just under a year now. February 2019 to be exact. Wonderful actress she was. You can leave her a flower and a note at www.findagrave.com/memorial/196595362
is that eve from murder she wrote?
I recognize her from Creature from the Black Lagoon.
Oh, yeah: what a beaut she was!
Amazing episode! This was when parents were interested in what their kids did and who they were around! Oh James was so handsome!
James Franciscus was hunk on a stick! Even 5 year old me had a total crush!
@violamateo I jealous.
Despite the story I like the way the father keeps his interest in his daughter's imaginary friend. I don't think we enquire enough about our children and their real friends enough these days.
Tamara Gilbert, you’re right about that!
What imaginary friend? The story made it clear she was real.

My son's best friend when he was 4 was a "super strong and big cat". He used to threaten everyone who tired to bother him. "I'll tell it my Big Cat" meaned : keep nice ! ... And I kept quite and nice. In a way, real.
My husband daughter was doing drugs right under his nose (well, under his roof), he had no clue, until one night the drugs drove her to run around naked in the house. That was a night to remember.
Yes your right I notice that too.
The dad is so handsome!

Oh yes!! Amazingly handsome! ⭐💯⭐
That's the great James Franciscus the first year star detective on the great old series Naked City (lst season) free on UA-cam.
@@poetcomic1 i will look for it! Thanks!
Julie Adams and James Franciscus are very beautiful...
Julie was the unforgettable love object in Creature from the Black Lagoon.
Julie lived to be 92, unfortunately James died too young, in his 50s.
I thought this was a short version of the story, but I re-watched it on Daily Motion and it’s the whole thing. I wish it was longer because I was really enjoying it!
Yes! I wore WHITE GLOVES back then. To Church ⛪️, to the movies and to my hubbys
College graduation and for extra measure, wore a little white hat with s small veil attached ‼️‼️‼️
I Love when women wore white gloves like that! It looks so classy and feminine! 😃🧤👛🌂👒 I wish we could bring back white gloves into fashion again!
It deserves to be seen again...So elegant! I also loved it when ladies used to carry pretty little lacey hankies in their purses.
I still have some of my old hankies!!
I guess you could't touch anything unless you had a bunch of pairs...in winter is fine but...in summertime?
Love the veil
Julie Adams was so pretty and classy.
Melody Davis Like most of the women of that era, the pinnacle of Earth society.
@@jimlaguardia8185 I wonder what the pinnacle of Earth society even means!!
I have always had a thing about James Franciscus. I don’t think he received the acclaim he deserved. He is like a smaller version of Robert Redford.
@violamateo I really liked his voice. He just sounded like a regular guy. I loved him Mr. Novak where he was a high school teacher and I wished he was my teacher! In Longstreet he was a blind detective. He was a very handsome man and a very good actor. Died too young.
I doubt any man wants to be referred to as a smaller version of another man 😂😂😂
I was so busy looking at James Franciscus, I had a hard time concentrating on their dialogue. Love his dimples, his hair, his eyes, his mouth. Am drooling!
Dad is gorgeous
Veronica Cartwright played the part of Rod Taylor's little sister in Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds :)
Marco Zonetti and is the older sister of Angela Cartwright who was Birgitta in the Sound of Music
Mary Bruun - love that movie!! 🥰
Also Veronica Cartwright was in The Children's Hour with Audrey Hepburn and Shirley McCain.
That's Angela Cartwright.
Marco Zonetti -Thanks for pointing that out- what an actress- loved her in The Birds.
We really enjoy these short stories. Great to see Hitchcock mysteries. Cheers !
No matter how elegant a modern woman think she is. She will never be as glamorous as the women of those old times movies. Even when they were wearing everyday clothes!
The Priest looks like the dad's father. LOL
Im nearly 50 years old and theses type of episodes still scares me
This was one of my favorites. I looked for it through the years. Thank you for the upload
Cannot imagine having such picture-perfect looking parents!
Especially because she is not they miscast them here.
Judging from the music, these guys weren’t aware of just how dark this episode is. Brilliant.
7:36 The woman knows Letty is a ghost, she recognised the name earlier. I don't think Letty possessed the other girl, they just found a way to make her look like a human girl rather than a ghost, no one meet Judy's parents. She doesn't think it's right for either little girl to be alone so much so she's fixing it so that they can be friends
Thanks for the explanation...I was puzzled about it.
James Franciscus. So good looking.
I'm so very glad for this channel.. Takes me back to my childhood. I love all the actors I recognize, and the cars are great ! Thanks for posting ! Glad to be a subscriber
James Franciscus!

James Franciscus was a babe and a half ! Drop dead luscious !
He was Suzanne Pleshette's husband in RAGE TO LIVE...also on You Tube.
GORGEOUS
He was a good looking actor. Some of these stories are pretty good. The series still comes on in the later p.m.
This reminded me of Where the Woodbine Twineth, an Alfred Hitchcock Hour about another little girl with an 'imaginary' friend.
Jason Hurd Exactly what I thought when I read the description.
Where the Woodbine Twineth is much scarier, than this episode

Vernoica Cartwright is the ghost in the end. She was Hitchcock's little friend all throughout the filming of The Birds. She is a top level 'Scream Queen' - remember her in the chilling remake of Invasion of the Body Snatchers, the original Alien and much else.
You must be senile to not know or mention Cartwright was penny in Lost In Space among other roles on TV

Katie is played by Susan Gordon. She is producer's Bert Gordon's daughter.

Susan Gordon played the little girl in the movie, Tormented. I just saw Tormented a month ago here on UA-cam. I highly recommend watching it! She did a wonderful job acting in that one too. The movie is creepy and alittle scary. Some parts definitely gave me goosebumps while watching it. @@mirella7792thanks for the recommendation. I’m gonna check it out tonight for my Mother’s Day relaxation. And I can recommend The Five Pennies, which Miss Gordon was also in with Danny Kaye. They have the best father/daughter relationship in that.
Thank goodness, no one in my social circle was smart enough to put on a thinking hat.
That was a good one! Loved it! Thank goodness no pea soup was involved at the end!

The story was written by Nora Hickman Caplan, who also wrote a good children's book, Noni's Little Problem.
Thank you so much for the upload
James Franciscus, an underrated actor.
10:25 Thank goodness! Veronica Cartwright is here to bring the twist!
Love the twist hahaha!
LOL Yes, but as soon as it was getting even better, it ended! I want more! :)

Who knew letty was real lol
I've seen and LOVE all the AHP eps... This is one of the SCARIEST episodes HANDS DOWN! The whole daughter being transformed before their eyes, the bones around her neck, the fevers... And the fact that you never saw the famous Letty until the end... LOVED IT!
Part 4 - Two years passed and I put the story at the back of my mind until one day my neighbour opposite invited me in for a cup of tea. He’s a mechanic and a practical no nonsense man. “Do you want to hear a story?” he whispered after sitting down with our cups of tea. “My mum’s friend (a neighbour two doors down) told my mum a strange story yday” he said looking rather serious. “They’ve moved temporarily into the house opposite the steps at the end of our street. The one with the round window....and you’re not going to believe what she told my mum?” Please note that English is not the language of these ladies and they probably speak a handful of English word between them. So my friend has to interpret what the neighbour said to his mum.
James Franciscus & Julie Adams! Talk about your 60's A- List!! I have a pic of me taken about the time this episode was filmed & she looks like my twin- blonde ponytail & all!! This show really hit the nails on the head for me... I loved it!!! 😍😍😍💋💋💋
The old lady played one of the Morrison sisters on The Andy Griffith show and the other lady played Andy Griffith's girlfriend for a couple of episodes.
Didn’t see that end coming! Excellent
The lettering on the gravestone would not have existed in the seventeenth century.
Part 6 - a few nights later the woman came downstairs again for a glass of water. Moments later the same girl came down the stairs but this time she approached the woman and raising her hands and baring her teeth she said in a screaming voice “leave this house, this is MY house!” The woman says she was calm and didn’t panic but instead walked away from the girl heading for the stairs and as she glanced back the girl had disappeared....
I thought It was a whole short story...😱
@@Lyrielonwind it’s a true story!
Leddy’s Aunt Brigitte looks like a drawing of Mork from Ork.
That was a good episode. So Letty was real. Didn't see that twist ending coming. Hitchcock was brilliant.
Letty is a ghost . The old lady just came up with a cover story with a fake name
Question. Are these programs actually longer? If so, where can we see the entire episodes?

@Pennie P they are 30 minute episodes.
peacock I think
Enjoying all these shows. August 2024
What a turn of events
The priest played the Martian in the diner, when the counterman was from Venus...twilight zone episode.....with the bus crash in water..
The mom played one episode of The Andy Griffith Show as the county nurse who Andy had a crush on.
Is that james Franciscus?
In the flesh. Swoon swoon.
Part 3 - a week before my father spoke to him a series of events culminating in one inexplicable event proved to be the last straw. For a few weeks the lights kept going off and on until the man went to investigate the fuse box in their small bedroom. Suddenly he heard what he described as several voices but speaking in unison, “leave this house, this is our house!” Panicked, he ran downstairs and told his wife who within minutes packed some essential belongings into a bag and left for her parents house! The man had to stay behind as not only was there no room at the in-laws he simply couldn’t leave valuables in the house and set had to find a new place to rent. This is why he was sleeping in the car and occasionally sneaking into use the bathroom! I work for a housing association and thought it sounds like a tall tale to get rehoused! He must’ve moved within a week as my father didn’t see him again, the car had gone and the house seemed empty.
5:15 That gals hair is the popular “Jackie Look” style back when she was First Lady in the White House… JFK’s wife Jackie.
10:10 So Lettie was from Space
Can someone please explain me the ending?
Isn't the brunette girl at the end one of the actresses that plays the Von Trapp children in "The Sound Of Music" movie from the 60s?
02:08 You let your 9 year old child play there unattended?
#the50s
@Pennie P I gather you didn't hear what the mother said, before she and her daughter walked away. She was playing by a creek that's not the safest place to play, back in the day or in today's age.
Arené Lomax - I thought the same-their daughter is going to end up a ghost as well-!
@Pennie P We pretty much had to play outside, even in the winter! And that's New England. Out West, the kids were outside all day.
@Pennie P Grew up in Chicago, we moved out West for an year when I was eleven and then ended up in New England. We spent an at least hour a day outside no matter how cold it was! As an adult, I run errands in the winter as long as it is not 20 below, right? (Have been wanting to buy some Noxema ever since yesterday purely for nostalgia 👏🤣🤣🤣🤣)
@Pennie P Whenever I did use it, I rinsed my face as quickly as possible 😆
I'm confused. How did they see her in the end?
I'm thinking that she took over that girls body.
Can you upload full this movie?
The girl looks very mature for her age. I love those plates in the background at count 8:55
I cannot remember the Actors name but growing up he was and still is one of my favorite Actors.

The mother was beautiful also
What horrible parents that they wanted to exorcise their kid's ghost friend!!!
Penny from Lost in Space.
Penny Robinson was played by Angela Cartwright. This is her equally famous sister Veronica playing Lettie. Of the two, Veronica has ultimately enjoyed the most prolific acting career.
HAHAHAH! No they DIDN'T blow up Mr. Peanut! If I was a child, I would have been REALLY upset(smile) The COMMERCIAL!
I'm a little confused, can someone please explain the ending to me
Frankie Lee When the mom was talking to the preacher about performing an exorcism Letty overheard and of course didn’t want that to happen, so she and Katie formulated a plan where Letty would manifest as a human. Now, I’m not sure if she possessed another real little girl or what but she made it so that she was flesh and could be seen by everyone that way Katie and her could still be friends.
@@mikitam.9078 Katie and she.
Letti, the ghost, let the parents see her so they wouldn't turn her into a pea-soup, barfing nightmare!
@@mikitam.9078 I always thought that the old woman who brought her over had something to do with it, that she had spoken to Letty and left the book behind on purpose so that the girl would have an open mind to the ghosts, and then came up with the idea of passing her off as the milkman's daughter. Then again the two girls were talking about their plan so that doesn't really measure up.
Very cute… Hitchcock was brilliant 😀
Was Veronica Cartwright related to the little girl Angela Cartwright from "Lost In Space" ? They look identical
@Mrs T Thanks !

Hysterical!
Wow! A normal kitchen
Part 2 - there is a park adjacent to the house and is a Quaker burial ground. The family of S famous MP in his time and Quaker, John Bright are buried there. All the grave stones are flat as Quaker’s believe we are all equal in life so should show be equal in death. On the way home from prayers, which take 15 mins, my father noticed a young Pakistani man get into his car and may also have come from a mosque. My father didn’t think much of this until he noticed the man climb into the car on two more occasions that week. Curious, my father asked him if something was wrong and could he be of any help? The man began explaining that he had only moved into the house on rent a few weeks before and lived with his wife.
If you liked Susan Gordon in this, check out Picture Mommy Dead from 1975.
As is quite evident from the title, it's so bad that it's good. I have seen it about 10 times. A big guilty pleasure of mine.
i thought 'picture mommy dead' was from the 60's. i hated and was scared of the title because when i was 4 i had this obsession my mom was going to die. the neighbor made her hide in the closet one day when i came home from nursery school. i freaked out and ran upstairs. the neighbor followed me and asked why i was crying. i said my mother's dead. i was hysterical. then when i went downstairs my mom came out of the broom closet and i was so happy to see her. i didn't even wonder or care what she was doing there.
@@lapacesiaconvoi You are correct. I looked it up and it was made in 1966. Your story made me laugh, although I'm sure it was terrifying for your 4 year old self. I would have had the same reaction!

Part 7 - imagine the look on my friends face when I relayed my father’s story to him! He was left speechless. Months later I met a neighbour of the “haunted house”. Mr Halliwell, and jokingly said to him “you have a ghost next door” - I told him the story and he replied. My mdaughter is in her early 30s now and when she was 6 she used to tell me she was going out to play with her friend. Mr Halliwell watched his daughter playing with what he considered her ‘imaginary’ playmate for several months. “Did your daughter ever describe what she looked like,” I asked curiously, “yes,” he replied, “blond hair, blue eyes and a long dress like they wore in Victorian times....,” 😶 The End

Part 1 -My story was relaid to me by originally by my father in spring 2012. I live in Rochdale which Is 12 miles from Manchester, home of Manchester United Football Club. His route to the local mosque for morning prayers, an hour before sunset, took him 100 metres down our street and down a flight of steps. Adjacent to the steps is a small detached house, literally two up and two down with a large arched window at the top middle of the house. I dates from the the mid 1800s and must have been a stable at the back of a larger house. The house is slightly set back in Roach Place, a narrow quiet street with 3 detached houses to the left and 6 more houses further along to the right bit further up.
