I’m not normally one to comment but I do have to say this....... I think your videos are more valuable than you may realise. Not only are they entertaining, they are great for people’s mental health. I know they are for mine. They calm my mind after a busy day at work, the usual worrying about money, energy prices soaring, corrupt governments etc, etc. I watch these videos and realise that life isn’t just all about the bullshit we deal with, there’s a whole world out there and it’s beautiful. Well done Liam, well done.
Anybody that thinks you need everything to weigh 0.2 grams for a quick daytrip and eat only freeze dried food and have a £3000 tent to save the extra 12 grams to go on a day hike needs to see videos like this.
Great comment. Not that far from his vehicle though, not to take away from how epic this camp was in mid-winter snow. Further into wilderness, higher the risk, more critical the gear choices.
This channel is iconic! Creating signature dishes and sampling regional beers while hiking the peaks. With that beard coming along you aren't a Hairy Biker, but a Hairy Hiker. 🤣
Agree great content again, no bullshit, no pretence, no ego, just raw and honest, I watch a lot of content like these and have to say these are the ones I enjoy the most. Thanks Liam.
Liam, you're so hard core (maybe your time in the army helped), but so appreciative of the wilderness, and, to quote you yourself, "easily satisfied"! Lots of respect.
Dinner is looking awesome man! I perfected the one burner bangers n mash with onion gravy. Step 1, boil water for mash and gravy, put it in a flask mug. Step 2, brown the sausages (they don't need to be fully cooked), then set aside on plate. Step 3, slowly fry the onions till soft, adding a bit of sugar, then flour. Step 4, add some hot water from the flask mug to the pan, with a veggie stock cube, mix well. I like to add Henderson relish at this point. Add the sausages back to onion gravy pan and simmer till sausages are cooked. Step 5, if the flask mug is a good one, the water should still be hot enough to make some smash on the plate. Add the sausages and gravy. Proper nice one burner meal
Ruben a ferry to Newcastle. Then take your pick along the northern Pennines through Northumbria.Maybe drop down into North Yorkshire. Then into the Lake District. In just a week you can climb a fell or mountain every day.Visit stone circles and Roman forts. And enjoy some good ale.Lot's of camp sites, hostels and guest houses if you are not as hard core as our Liam :).
Hello, Liam! I am a viewer from China. I love your videos, not only because of the stunning view but also the way you recorded it. You recorded the sound of you walking on the road which is amazing ASMR and very relaxing. I recently have read the Living Mountain, written by a Scottish writer Nan Shepherd. The book is about her hiking experiences in the Cairngorm Mountains. Have you ever been there? Are you planning to vlog your hiking journey there? I'm curious and looking forward to that.
Liam, I'm sat in a warm room on a soft sofa with a kitchen full of food and over a 100 channels to watch on TV yet I'm the one feeling envious! Brilliant videos Liam carry on camping and keep the videos coming.
I camped in the lakes came back this morning. 🥹 It’s so so beautiful and it look the same in wet weather, cold, windy, sunny, fog and snow. It’s stunning ❤
The Lake District is one of the BEST places that I've been to in the UK - I love it there. That was some crazy weather that we had and you went camping in it. Props to you :) Great video, thanks for the camp
I usually watch your videos via my console so commenting is tricky, but I’m on my phone now just because I wanted to say how much of a pleasure it is to watch these videos. As a 17 year old I’m very limited still where I can go and I’ve always wanted to do exactly what you are doing so it’s a blessing that your Scotland to England video popped up on my recommended a month or two back, your videos bring a happy and spontaneous view on camping and hiking which I find difficult to see in many other outdoor based creators. I love what you are doing, I hope you have a nice day.
Stayed a week in the winter for eight days going again in a weeks time. Nothing beat’s the experience , coming back as veteran so you know much more what to take and what to do. Been camping in harsh conditions for seven years keep it up.
I wild camped 3 nights on the edge of Grisedale Tarn, just below Helvellyn, and did three days working using it as a base camp. Wonderful memories ! I'm glad you're doing similar. Such a positive experience.
Really enjoy your trips and videos. Been following you since the John O'Groats to Lands End trip and your production is so good now. Love your camp meals and your pairing with a good beer! You are inspiring on so many levels.
What an absolutely gorgeous view and place! I know a lot of people have already said this but your videos just remind me to take a step back and remember what life is about...to stop the stress and just enjoy the little things, its so refreshing honestly. Good job.
So jealous, Lake District in the snow, bangers, mash and gravy on a mountain, really does not get better than that. Stunning! Another great production, well done. Was that Ullswater in the background?
I literally had lunch exactly where you camped last weekend on my way up to helvellyn across striding edge, we camped down at the red tarn to stay out of the wind. Awesome views up there!
Brilliant, I have the same tent ⛺️ not used it yet and hope mine will last as long as yours has. Keep up the good work enjoy every minute of your vids, I’m 52 this year and I’m not going to let that stop me 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
If you're planning to wild camp all the parks i'll be really interested to see how you conquer the New Forest, in the sense that its pretty small and usually very busy. I live near and I'd recommend you do it sooner rather than in the summer as it'll be super busy! Anyway im sure you'll be able to find a secluded spot nevertheless :)
This was fantastic Liam, you are certainly enjoying yourself and inspiring a lot of people like myself to get out in nature and walk some hills. Keep up the fantastic videos
Simplicity, that’s what is important in our lives 😊 happiness doesn’t have to cost a lot of money, happiness is hard to achieve but with a hard work and correct attitude it’s easy enough 😊
When you come to Dartmoor make sure to go to Dartmoor brewery and pick up yourself an IPA (Inmates pale ale) as the prisons only down the road. Keep up the great videos!
Great video Liam, very scenic indeed with all the snow up there! That literally could have been anywhere in the world, if one didn’t know where you were ... The Lakes are so amazing!! It’s defo on my hit list this year, for camping out wild style. 👍🏻
Hi Liam I'm 11 years old and funnily enough that village Glenridding is my hometown and the track you took (near lantys tarn) is where I go running and walk the dog. Love your vids I wish I could have seen u although u probably passed my house on the way. 😏😃
Great vid well done. If you put the onions in with the sausages seen as they are small and then the gravy towards the end all in together you would have had a piping hot meal 👍🏾
Hi Liam. I've just found you in the last week and watched backpacking Britain ,Peak District and now this one. I'm in Cumbria and that's a perfect dish. Bangers n mask with onion gravey. Nice. I am enjoying watching you, great crack. Keep it up.
I was there at the weekend mate weather was good on Saturday but 9 miles of rain, hail and wind Sunday. Definitely earned a pint after. Great vid as usual.
Your adventures is a delight to watch. Keep up the good spirit. Try and get a lid on the frying pan so that you can warm up all the food together after you have made them individually and this way keep it all warm. Thank you from Oslo.
Enjoyed this, that tent of yours has had a Himalayan paper round, look forward to seeing the new tent. Highly recommend Naturehike cloud up or OEX phoxx
another great vid, always gives me the itch to get back out there when i watch one of your adventures. lifes simple pleasures even if it is blowing a gale and sleety rain
Have you visited to the Yorkshire Wolds? The lesser known area of Yorkshire but still very beautiful with rolling hills and abandoned villages and amazing coastal areas!

that quilt pad combo probably cost £500
Great comment. Not that far from his vehicle though, not to take away from how epic this camp was in mid-winter snow. Further into wilderness, higher the risk, more critical the gear choices.
@@MediocreCinema yep, and without that kind of sleeping gear investment he would be very foolhardy in these conditions.
@@mozdickson still there are cheaper quilts and sleeping pads that do the job just as well

Wow mate, you couldn’t have timed this better for entertainment value. Love the concept of a hike/camp with the local nosh& brew!
After 23 years as a RM, I am so jealous, and happy for you living your best life, well done son
Top bloke; IPA on a summit after storm Eunice and Cumberland sausage to boot. Thanks mate! Makes my pot noodle look sooo shabby.
Loving the local food and drink angle. 😁👍
As soon as you said "sausage, mash, and onion gravy" my stomach literally started rumbling haha. Lovely little spot too mate
I can’t believe you don’t get the same amount of views as Paul Messner? You’re such a genuine bloke, keep up the hard work and it will pay off
