Big changes in that overhead mobility! This is a great video man honored to be a part of it. Pretty easy to take some nice walks when you have the kind of landscapes you've got. Even as a "movement guy" it's a great reminder to myself... sit less, move more, enjoy life. Cheers.

I recently got rid of all the chairs in my house, and instead of sitting, I lie down on the floor at every opportunity and call it yoga. It's done nothing for my fitness, but I'm certainly way more relaxed than I used to be.

The purpose of sitting on the floor is to change up your position. He's right about being in one position for too long being the problem. But sitting on the floor not moving is exactly the same as sitting in a chair not moving, and this is the issue. You have to change up your position regardless of if you're sitting in a chair, on the floor, or standing. They found that even standing desks don't solve the issue because you still aren't moving enough even though you're standing.

    Amazing video buddy
I loved it. I just feel part of it. Thanks for it. You Gaines a sub today. Thanks again since that just motivates everybody and your real life example on how to actually include these changes does work.
    -changing environment
    - asking a professional
    - making it"gamefiable"
    - get your habits, set a minimum for each day
    - change your workouts
    - set alarms (as intrusive as they go)
Really glad to watch again and re learn. Will try for 1 week hehehe

I have a desk job, and I try to change my position once in a while. One thing I have in my 'rotation' is a big exercise ball. You can still sit at your desk and work, but it gives a completely different sensation compared to using a chair.

"I eat quite well except for the amount of chocolate I consume." 11/10 relatable channel liked and subscribed.
edit: and yes sitting time is crazy in this society. I consider myself fortunate not to have a sitting job, it can be hard on my body and mind sometimes to work in physical labour but I know that it's much better for me than sitting 9+ hours a day. plus, when I get home and sit down it feels *great*, I truly relish a good sit.

Walking is kind of a mixed bag for people like me. Living in a place that, sadly, has street crime discourages a lot to go anywhere for long periods of time, especially when there are spikes in robbery, and some areas are just blocked off for you if you value your life and possessions. I love walking to places, but it's either tiring because cities favor cars a lot more than walking, or there is external factors that don't help walkers to move freely

    • @WalkScaper

I have a walking pad at home, which also folds so it's easy to store. Depending where you're from, those pads don't usually cost that much and with a standing desk, you can play or watch movies while walking. I'm from Finland and during the winter it's not that fun to walk outside, but walking pad helps a lot to get the steps in!

11:10' you have a very flat left foot, this be causal to back pain by off loading your stance, so squatting, or any hip hinging creates asymmetrical ground forces which gets sent into the hips/lower back.

Too much time cycling in a "saddle" is proven to have consequences; this can be seen in the chronic issues that professional cyclists have with the muscles, organs, and nerves at their trunk and below. I switched to a recumbent bike for speed since I don't race UCI, but it's been way better for me pain wise as well, especially my neck.

Ever considered, that you are just doing "TOO MUCH" and overexercising/overstretching/"The Over- Way"? 🤔
It is strange, that not as active people as you (day at the office, sitting up to 10 hours, no sports, semi-healthy eating habits, ...) have less issues than you - there must be some science behind of that. Or give it a challenge of 30 days doing "nothing": run 20k (or any challenging activity), take your scores, then rest for 30 days with doing absolutely nothing and after those days do the same activity again and compare the results...some food for thought.
