    I picked mine up this year. Couldn't be happier. I love all the options but don't want to add more weight. It's heavy enough, so I try to fish with just the gear I need.

    I like the coastguard radio tip. A lot of good information, thank you.

    The mounting hardware for the front lid leaks like a sift. Take them off and silicone the holes and hardware and it will stop leaking into the hull. Mine was leaking bad.

    Wait, no complaints? IWe just heard you tell us about the leaky hatch. A vessel that takes on water? What is more major than that? Anyway, other than that it seems awesome > I’m waiting for Hobie to release a scaled down 10’ version of this and Outback. That hatch should be a fairly easy fix. Good luck, Bob.

    Love the setup buddy! I'm jealous. I just went with a cheap kayak this year. Its great but this is a Cadillac! All the bells and whistles Haha

    Great video Bob, you really have one of the nicest setups I think. You use a power bank battery pack plugged directly into the go pro to keep the go pro running so you don’t need to change batteries? And what about day to day storage, you think it’s ok to leave on the hobie trax scupper cart? I’m glad I’m not the only one that gets water in the hull after an outing, it always finds a way it seems. Thanks for sharing with us !

    does the front hatch leak without the gear bucket in stalled? I just got a 2021 outback a week ago and was considering buying one. Thanks

    How much did it cost... all in, if you don't mind me asking

    Really nice boat and nice setup. I think Hobie fixed the (front hatch leaking problem) with the 2022's. I am sorry if I missed it, but how are you transporting the Outback? Also, great mod on the Fins I wish I thought of it. Thanks Tom in NC..

    Yak Attack will replace that light. I had the same problem they said they would replace it.

    Thanks for doing the walk-through! After cracking my 2018, I will eventually be getting a 2020, or 2021 once the boat arrives at the dealer (though it will be a while). It was interesting to see just how many more features your boat has then my 2018, or the 2016 that I'm being lent right now! I'm intrigued by your Bass Pro fish finder battery system... right now I'm using the Hobie rigged setup, and I keep having issues with the battery wire corroding. Good stuff!

      I'm sure you have your replacement right? I also had my hull cracked and my 2021 warranty replacement came about 2 weeks ago...was about 7 weeks from claim till I picked it up and I'm east coast.

    Fantastic video! A few questions. Does that Pelican keep the ice the whole day? Have you had to use the bilge pump? When you are not using the kayak it how do you keep it (on a stand?) I always look forward to vids Bob! Thanks for the help

    Re that front holder crate letting water in, same issue here. My kayak is stored outside and when it rains literally gallons of water can get into the hull. I just have to live with it and bail it out before going on a trip. I have never been in real rough water but do worry what migh happen one day if I do get in rough stuff and the kayak starts filling with water.

      @@BobAquatic Hey thanks for the sponge tip that's a great idea, I will do that. I was also thinking a small battery operated bilge pump but it's another thing to set up. Might be on the long term plan though

    New subcriber. I love your setup. Having the camera boom on the outer plastic track with only 1 Tbolt, would make me nervous. I've had too much gear pop out of those tracks to have much confidence in them. People say Yacattack is better, but I don't have any experience with that brand. Thanks!

    What mount do you have for the Hook2 fishfinder?

    • @markgorbsky6888
      @markgorbsky6888 3 роки тому +1

      I have the Hook 2 YakAttack also and if I had to do again I think I'd get the Ram mount. Both rod holders (omega pro) and this mount wiggle quite a bit in the mounts. Still very secure but just slightly annoying. I tried railblaza and those are even looser.
