Ethan just recently got his 2007 Kawasaki KX85 back together again. He blew it up shortly after he bought it and had to rebuild it. He had the machine work done at Ritter Cycle Racing, in St. Jacob, IL, then he did the reassembly himself. It's definitely a strong runner now. Just bought a 2002 KX85 today, first big wheel bike. This video made a big impression on me when trying to make my decision between an RM and a KX, needless to say I wasn’t disappointed, the KX absolutely rips... Thanks for the video, great content keep it up🙌

I have a little 85 and im 16 but im only like 5'7ish and I dont think ill even need to upgrade soon, this thing kicks ass for being so tiny
You can never grow out of a 85 unless you pile on the weight or grow 7ft, I'm 49 and i ride a 85, prefer them can throw them around everywhere
It's amazing how such a small bike can have so much torque.

I’m 15 y/o and 6’0 and I’m a beginner but I’m looking for a bike on the smaller end, I want my whole foot to be able to be on the ground. Would this bike fit?

My son had the KX80, it was a little flyer and has now got a CR85 big wheel, both great fun.
Unfortunately he has outgrown it already, so I have to get my hand in my pocket for a 125. lol
Keep the vids coming, they're a great reminder in the future, I've videoed everything from my son learned to ride.

When I was a kid in the 70s & 80s the YZs & KXs were just coming out & things like the YZ 80 was a hot bike for an 80cc but it had nowhere near enough power for an adult to have fun, much less pull the front wheel off the ground. I realize the 80s was a long time ago but I am astonished at how much power that 85 has. The frame is a bit small for an adult but looks like power isn't a problem. Very cool!!
+shananagans5 They really have come a long way, the power they make is impressive. A kid on a KX85 can give an adult on a 125 or 250 a real run for their money...at least out of the hole. Thanks for watching!

Dunno if I should get a kx 85 or a yz 85 , I kinda think yz look cooler most of the time but a kx like this looks so cool. But I heard yz powerband is very hard to control. And I don’t want to be wheeling all day long cuz I’ve only learnt how to ride this month
I have both and the yz is what I ride more. For me, a 125-pound guy the power band fights me just the same as the kx

Hi I’m 5’5 and I was thinking if it’s a perfect size or to big?
I would think you would be fine. There is some adjustment in the suspension. I was just lower the tension and drop the ride height a bit. The best thing would be to sit on one and see if your toes touch the ground.
