Its typical that day finisher groups have everyone be a master at everything regardless of experience. Rodding, raking, cutting joints, brooming, stamping, setting up, etc. Because since finishers at times work for several different conctractors they gotta send in whoever they got. Yeah for the first few pours the laborer will do a bad job but they learn because 98% of what they do is pour & finish only. Everyday. Alot of the residential guys that work for a company have lead guys do the brooming cause it aint worth it to loose time on concrete trying to learn to certain aspects. If you want to get real good real fast is work with concrete a bit, become a day finisher. They finish nearly every single day so yeah you will get good compared to a company that might have 4-15ish pours a month. Ive been in this business for a long time since i was a kid. Ive met day finishers on their first day that within a year, 1 1/2 years they are running a part of that same finishing crew. Like they learn so much compared
Great team Eric, Awesome to see Tino back at it. Eric your an inspiration for our young generation, when you put your mind to something and go for it, it pays off.. Adios
Lmao ,,,,I don't want to be struggling.shit Eric concrete is hard work you wouldn't struggle if you had enough capable guys who can handle that big pour of twelve yards..Better let Junior Style handle that driveway.👍👍
I am around the corner all the time! Nice to see your skills are better en better each moment. You have a greate mentor also. The team you working with is magnificent. The combination is strong. Together working is indeed Easy Money!! Greetz from the Netherlands.
Why wait till you’re done with project to clean instead of cleaning at the end of each day. Potential clients will drive by and see a dirty site and pass on a potential client
I appreciate you addressing the shortcomings of a new crew and a new business, and obviously you can't get it done all alone Just keep up the good work, stay positive brother
I like how you brought thay dogleg up to meet that other joint. I just learned in ryans last video that you have to do that bc when you pour next to existing concrete if you dont follow the joints when it moves it will crack where the joint shouldve been bc of the dowels you guys put.
Really looking good, easy.... Keep on keeping on and never look back. The easy train is picking up steam, and ain't nothing going to slow it down.. 💯 💯 💯 💯 💯 💯
got to be a leader and be happy with the finish of every job and have it be up to your expectations. like you said its your name on the job, thats all that matters. keep up the good work
Did no one see 24:06 he didn't even match the control joint to the old one, your cracks will not follow you control joints anymore an will crack wildly now Ryan just posted a video explaining this with his son yesterday
If he matched to the existing then it would have looked weird, he probably asked the owner and they came to a decision, you act like you work for him... weird
Ahh ppl said the side pour on a hill will eventually fail because of the all the soil under? just a matter of time Yeh maybe the came up with that . Just mentioned it cause ryan talked about how if the joint isnt followed on the new concrete, a huge crack will continue the straight through
Eric, you have came a long way in this video alone. Glad to see you are learning and addressing mistakes from the past. As others stated, I couldn't tell if anyone pulled the wire up. In the time-lapse it was hard to tell, but it appears that no wire was pulled. You're the boss, remind them to pull the wire up. And in the future, show the wire being pulled in your videos... Doing great!!! Your broom work looks better than in the beginning as well! Keep pushing forward young man!!!
You can clearly see Tino and Cisco pulling wire at 17:10-17:20. The time lapse is going so fast its hard to see it but if you look at the edge you can see it move.
Keep up the great work Eric, and don't go out on your own too early, Ryan is a boss. but he's a great boss. Trust me. Enjoy the present, that way you will REALLY enjoy the future. Best of luck to you and your family!
@@DOW-E He doesn't have the infrastructure yet. He needs more equipment and tooling. The amount he will waste on rentals etc makes it not worth it at this time.

Eric you have all these comments about the yard. Easy way to shit them up bud.Incorporate into one of your videos showing the clean up process, putting black dirt down, maybe grass seed , picking up all the garbage. They see you do it one time and it will shut them up. Great job bud…
Probably still won't quiet them down, and if it does, only for a little bit. Around here, back filling forms and seeding is usually an additional line item charge, and most home owners elect to do it themselves to save the $500-$1000 job size dependent.
Get an enclosed trailer to have on site and at your shop yard and keep all your stuff in there instead of leaving it outside and in the yard. Enclosed job trailers are portable storage units
Not only are you killing it on these jobs, Eric, but your video editing and production has been turned up a notch. I hope you feel proud as I’m sure your family is.
Keep up the good work Eric. Don’t know why people are saying there was no Wire pulling I seen it so people must be watching another vid. Keep up the good work bro 😎

My advice but it's just me. Get a new box or get advice from Mike if u wanna go with the flat bed route. His Ford looks great. Or get a new bed professionally put on. Cuz its gonna be rusty but it's doable to do ur self. I would replace the bed b4 getting a tool box. Much love Eric

Nice video Erik! Brother, your video quality has greatly improved! I know when you're starting out you record with whatever camera's you got.
