You better pray Ryan doesn't hold to his promise from when you scratched his truck! Congrats I hope to see this thing getting some love in the winter shop this season!
Hey man easy on the diesels revving them and then turning it off immediately, and also let them warm up in the mornings before taking off like Ryan. You’ll notice they’ll last a lot longer. Also look into “fass” or “airdog” fuel systems, your injectors and injector pump will thank you.
Long freeway trips, pulling loads or mountain passes you do want to let an older deisels idle for 3-4 minutes as the turbo is oil lubricated/cooled. But around town/ no hot rodding you can just idle before shut down for a minute, it does matter and help, turbo coking is a condition when its run hard and shut off right when you park ( the hot oil does not receive some fresh circulated oil and causes build up in the turbo). 2002 CCSB LB7, down pipe, intake horn, 5" straight pipe, wicked wheel, 5 switch tune, 298k, pulls on more trucks than you think
Please take care of this truck Eric. Go and get it rust checked, under coated, get ALL of the fluids changed including diff fluids. Keep up on maintenance and this thing will last you an entire lifetime.
the pipes on the rear dumper are for mud flaps, I suspect it was for towing a camper. I think would have tried to get them to throw in a free undercoating. Congrats buddy... Don't forget I think Ryan owes you the first scratch ;)
Great job man I drove one at work for 4 years doing tree service we pulled a million tons of trees with it strong truck will do anything you need it to.
He hauled a heavy slide in truck camper. Those things by back bumper are camper tie downs. Never believe a dealer! Looks to be a nice truck and I hope it treats you well for many Years!
Ya, looks like an equestrian setup to me. Slide in and pulling horse trailer to hit competitions/shows. Usually always super clean dually's from minimal use but transmissions are worked pretty hard. Check seat belt for worn large belt buckle spot to be sure.
Make sure you don't rev that motor up like your usual gasoline combustion engines. Properly warm those up for about 10 minutes before driving, and longer in winter months. Buy a block heater if it doesnt already have one. Also, airdog and fass fuel systems will help you and your injectors in the long run.
@@whomitmayconcern Oh yeah? They run the same compression right? They both run their spark off plugs? To add, it's Duramax and I wouldnt let you anywhere close to anything with an engine.
You did it Eric, I’m so proud of you congratulations, I really appreciate the friendship between you and Cisco kid 😁. Keep it up brother and good things will happen for you. ❤
What’s up Eric & Cisco, hey Eric I’m glad to see you got a new truck you deserve it you worked really hard for it. Hard work pays keep it up and in a few years you’ll be just like Ryan. Stay humble and blessed 💯👑👍
Upgrades! Enjoy the process Eric! The more you enjoy the process the more blessings will come your way like this. You spoke this into existence from the beginning. Keep following gods plan man!
If Nate or Mike would have been available. I would have ask them to join you to checkout the truck. When you buy from a "B" lot you have to be careful. If it needs an AC Compressor could cost you some money
This is amazing! Congrats Eric!! I highly recommend you find a company that does under spraying that protects the frame and all the under components from salt and rust. Do that every couple of years and that truck will be making you money and looking great for a long time!
if you go to south main auto on here he tells you do not undercoat your car or truck it will rot out he has only used fluid film on all his cars he lives in upstate nj where they use salt year round to keep the dust down on the raods
some things with the lly is the turbomouth piece being restrictive causing overheating sometimes. make sure the injectors are in balance and watch out for that head gasket. i have one and it’s treated us well so far good luck.
Great find! a little black smoke is ok/normal, heavy black smoke is inefficient fuel burn and could indicate injector/cylinder/valvetrain issue, especially if you are getting it at idle. Also, like others have said be cautious of shutting the engine off before allowing the idle to level out, and not running a load until giving it a little time to warm up.
@@brenreidy8763 worth it for sure, and he will be hauling a trailer with it, and I see a dump trailer in his future so it would definitely help. He'd for sure need to spend the extra dough and get insulated lines and an electric heater since the temps drop pretty low for a long period of time up there
Looks like a great truck Eric!! Youll have to find out what type of engine is in it (LBZ/LLY/LML etc) as they all have certain issues or problems youll need to keep an eye on. You keep on top of those and that truck will last you a long time!
