I used to live down the road in Worcestershire. I'm now in Perth, Australia and followed your instructions. It's worked a treat. Thanks for sharing your expertise.
Brilliant and gives me so much confidence for the massive solar installation you going to do for me next week :) you have just rubber stamped my decision to use you guys.
Luke, Thanks for featuring our Autosleeper MH pleased to see the Solar Panel’s will remain intact at 70mph. The installation also excellent fit by your team 😎 @everysaweekend
Questions: did you use self taping screws to attach angle alu (not clear in video) to panel? And not nuts and bolt? AND why not use VHB tape which I've seen recommended by others. TIA for thoughts.
@@mlake07 Yes, we use roofing screws to attach the angle to the panels. We have thought about trying out some VHB tape but we know that our method works very well. If it’s not broke, don’t fix it!
Brilliant using adhesive certainly doesn't follow what's considered the accepted way, it's all about the method. Just a couple of tiny observations you might consider, you've done hundreds of solar panels clearly there's lots of measuring to be done on the roof and on the bench. 1. On the bench router an inlay and insert an extended tape measure 2. The bricks on the roof replace using rubber hot water bottles and fill with sand. Appreciated you've been doing what you do it's just an observation. 👍
Hi question. On a metal roof Do I need to take all the roof lining / over head lockers etc out of the van or just tech screw it with everything in place ? thanks
What’s your advice if the roof is real thin glass fiber canopy. The translucent truck type stuff. I’m not really keen on bonding onto that. Mechanical to the internal crossbeams + adhesive sealend with an alu L-bracket?
I would say I'd agree with your idea of fitting it. the fibreglass wouldn't probably be strong enough. so through crossbeams and lots of OB1 or Sika Flex
@@BlueFix yeah, I agree. I’m going to just screw brackets onto the inner wooden framework, through the roof. Plus sikaflex. For bonding, but also to seal it up. Thx

Wow, the best explanation ever. See you at a warner show this year.
Thanks for the view. Looks peaceful with plenty of space. ✌🏻🇺🇸

Mate that was the best video ever
Really interesting to see how you do this. Thanks for sharing.
great Job. Don from California
Excellent work and video. A++
Looking forward to seeing you at the end of the month for you to fit out our eliceo, our van has a different layout to the one in the video.

Great tip regarding the tile spacers 👍

The matching blue nail varnish did it for me 😂 .
Nice insight to how to do it correctly. Thanks.
🤩
Fantastic vide, great attention to detail
Hiya, would you use just adhesive or adhesive+screws if attaching to a roof with little bumps (textured surface)?

Great tips there!! Thank you. 😊
Brilliant. So neat & tidy 👍
Another great job can’t wait for mine turn 👍😎
Hi question. On a metal roof Do I need to take all the roof lining / over head lockers etc out of the van or just tech screw it with everything in place ? thanks
Tech screws alone with ob1 or skia flex are fine just need to be sure there are no cables that you may screw into.
