    In this video I am going to show you a simple beginner friendly mixing formula. While there is no one right way to mix your tracks this simple step by step tutorial will show you a good consistent way to make your mix at least 50% better just by using some basic techniques. This is not the right way to mix your tracks for the best result but it is a good way to do it if you want immediate improvement. I will be using FL Studio 20 but you can use any DAW like Ableton or Logic Pro. Hopefully by the end of this if you follow the same steps you should have a better mix in your song. I use this for a Future Bass track but you can use it for any EDM genre including Future house, Big Room, Tropical House. Of course it is good to adjust the sounds afterwards as well for best result. But just by following the same numbers you should end up with a better mix.

    The best tip is to delete low frequencies from every sound that shouldn’t have them. Even crashes and hihats can have some nasty lows so I basically highpass everything except basses and kicks.

    Some other videos I saw say that I should pull everything down and mix it in slowly to see what volume amount is the right for the individual sound
    I think thats better than have some numbers that doesnt fit to every song
    Btw you should rather turn the volume of serum down 16:50 looks like its already clipping inside a bit, better than lowering at in the rack i think

    You can copy the whole fx chain and drag it over to another mixer channel the same way you did individual fx by going to "file, save channel state as" and draging that

  • @N4yther
    @N4yther 3 роки тому +1

    you can copy the whole effect chain without saving it. rightclick on the channel -> file -> save mixer state as but hold down the mouse button and drag it on the insert you want. so you don´t have to copy each effect and paste it over.

      There is no rules. These are just guidelines. Every song is going to be unique so one set technique won’t work across all songs unless you’re using the same exact sounds every song.
