I'm so thankful I got into mixing in the era of youtube. I've only really spent the las 6 months or so learning how to mix and my kicks kept getting lost in the mix because I haven't until now really focused on balancing. It's a fun journey. Thank you for being part of it.
This is legit the secret to clean mixes
Yeah "legit".
Not a secret, dude.
Your cat agreed on the peaking from the atmosphere! Great tutorial, Alex. Keep up the good work & I'm looking forward to the next video. Greetings, Emiel.
this basic technique changed my life and career
I do that too to touch my speakers for the bass😂👌🏽
Thank you so much for making this video, mixing definitely is a struggle for me, so it means a lot that you took time to make this video! :)
Best video ever. Thank you so much, is exactly what I needed to see today my man!
So much value!! Thank you so much man it really made me relearn the mixing approach!
And as you stressed, always mix with a fresh set of ears! :)
Thanks for the advice on where to place different elements in the mix. I’m surprised that few people have seen this video. One of the most helpful I’ve seen.
yesterday you told me on stream to work on my mixing. Today you upload this. You are doing gods work brotha!
wow. just the teacher I need, I am glad I found you. I love your teaching style!
bro im super grateful for this tutorial because i had a track that i could tell needed mixing and this is going to help my good ideas sound their best. thank you
You are a really great teacher. Really quality information. I've been in radio for the last 20 years. Radio is all ABOUT getting people to stick around. You mentioned your retention numbers. You can improve the retention with teases. Tell them something you're going to show them during the video. Example: stick around because in the next few minutes I'm going to let you know the number one question aspiring producers ask me. It's crazy. You're videos are
Really Great!
So for the last 3 or so years I've been dabbling in music production and within the last year really been devoting all of my free time to exploring this! I always could tell something was missing and I believe this is one of those ingredients! Thank for the vid, and yes, I watched to the end!
Damn I felt like I could have took days off in between to do this. I'm always in effort to make a beat everyday. Without question, it's easy to overlook these highly important suggestions. Thank you Alex.
Dropping knowledge bombs! Thanks Alex!
Seriously Alex, you don't know how much you help us artists man. I'll name one of my songs after you; AR. It'll have a double entendre.. but the real ones will know!!! Thank you!!💜💜
Support over here man. It’s hard out their man I’m new to this in vision of become a full time producer but it’s definitely intimidating
Amazing Alex you are no doubt a genius
Really helpful! Thanks for the help Alex!

"Atmosphere's are, like, in the Dannnger zoo..." Meeerowwww -- I lol'd. Great vid -- learned things.
Talking pads? Some unique like serum ones are great, but a pain in the mix!

Thank you very much! I'm OK at balancing tracks but this video made me more confident in doing so :D My track sounds sexier now! love you :D
As many beats as I mixed I always can use a refresher course on the main important part of mixing the balance to re align myself with some of the fine tune methods alll over again this was a good good video man 👍🏽👍🏽
Love this man thank you
I’m late, but this changes everything. Thank you
I'm learning so much, thank you brother 🍻
Thanks 🙏 this very helped me. I think I’m gonna check out your website.👌🏽
Thank you ever so much.... Really man, i needed this
i definitely needed this haha, thanks
Nice vid, good explanation. I think probably the most fundamental thing people miss with a mix down is gain staging. And a great place to start with it is pre-fader metering. Taming those levels is key to a great sounding mix down
Hey Alex,
Thanks for the video man, I will take a lesson from a teacher who is looking to educate over a teacher who is looking to entertain any day.
Way to keep it real man
Great quality content! Learned a lot. Thank you.:)
Thx Alex, you're the best! Cheers m8
So helpful, love it
Lit bro. I sat here taking notes the entire time :)

Really helpful video!
You R Amazing Bro ☺
great video thanks a lot
I love the video! This was awesome keep doing this! Only thing is, I felt maybe the bass was a touch too loud but hey thats my opinion and you probably have a better ear than I do. :P Either way this was an awesome tutorial! :)
Amazing tutorial(s) man! Really really helpful.
When do you add your reverbs and delays? After the gain staging or before?
Thanks!
You rock bro 😀😀
You earned a new subscriber
Ur the best alex
I learnt something, thanks :)
This video helped a lot!! anyways, when do you usually stream?
Cool tutorial. Learned a lot. One suggestion that i have is that, instead of working on the intro maybe it would of been a good idea to balance on the chorus where most of the time all elements of the track are present 😊
Thank you broder ! this is very useful for us ;)
Thanks 🙏
Great video Alex, I came across your channel only recently but already watched loads of your videos. Very informative and helpful, plus like the way you explain things. Thanks a lot. Just quick question. While balancing your mix the way you showed, I pressume you can do panning where necessary? Am I right?
