Wow. Just... wow. What a friggin' gorgeous car! Love the 4-door pillarless hardtop. Damned safety regulations. Don't care how safe the car is, it's the driver's responsibility to drive right... Great video as always, thanks for posting.
OMG that car is absolutely gorgeous!! I'm in love!!! I love the coupe as well. In my home country Trinidad we only got the sedan and station wagon badged Datsun 260C/280C. We did get the hard top next gen Cedric/Gloria 430 though also badged Datsun 280C. I would love to import one of these to the US...it will definitely be a unique ride which is what I like.
I'm playing both videos at the same time. It's very fun! "This car is wh-ack" lol! That and the "Ying Yang" before it made me laugh. I like the Cedric Brougham more. The painted hub caps look amazing and just as deep as the black paint on the car.
Haha! Smart! A/B testing with two videos! Same voiceover, similar cars and cleverly packaged that you could reuse it. I would be interested in your findings and which one works better! QOTD: I'm probably one of the few who would favour the rusty one over the nicely restored car! Don't get me wrong: I'd rather see all cars without rust, but I'd rather see rusty ones in your video! :D
WasabiCars what? How can't it be popular? Maybe it will get some love after some time? Btw: you got featured on Jalopnik with the Yamaha Ami. Must have pushed quite a few views for you as well!
G'day Dan'l. Sweet looking Nissan Cedric. For some reason, I've always preferred 4 door sedans or the station wagon over the 4 door hardtop. But I do love the taillamps on the hardtop and on the station wagon.
I agree. For some reason the Cedric was never sold under any name here in the USA. I've never understood why that was the case. The Fairlady was sold as the 240-280Zed, the Bluebird was sold as the Datsun 610, 810, and Maxima.
at 1:06 when showing a b pillar the car is a gloria you are saying its a cedric model number something and the badge on the sail panel is also a different color ,blue not red/orange .i just notice these things ,so is a gloria and a cedric the same car different trim levels ? anyway great eye candy as always .
Yeah, I had to use that Gloria pic, but they are the same car (though they have some cosmetic differences) Glorias & Cedrics were sold through different Nissan sales channels.
question of the day: it has to be the cedric. it reminds me to the one i saw one day in mito at dawn. it was really nice looking. same grade, same colour. poor skyline though :'(
I bought a model kit of this car from Aoshima. Just looking for a paint color for mine. They look good in black. I think I should book mark this video for paint and interior references.
Do you know how to read Japanese licence plates? I'm from Canada and the American plates are much the same....usually a series of 6 numbers and letters broken into groups of 3 with a year in one of the corners for the plate, like 1961, for example. ...but the Japanese plates seem to be very different to one another. How do you know which plate goes to what year or do the Japanese have their plates like that? Also, do they keep their plate for years?
Nah, year is not a thing with Japanese numberplates, but on the following Wikipedia page "Vehicle registration plates of Japan", almost half way down the page, you'll see a table with 4 columns. Three of the columns are: "1962-71, 1967-99, 1998-" Basic explanation is: the length of the top, central number would increase to allow for more cars to be registered. In 1962-1971, there'd be the number 3. Then they'd use, 30 or 31, etc... Then, 300, 301, etc...
Speaking of the venue in this video, the show this year is 3/18! You coming down? There is a drift event that day as well, but it would be really easy for me to go to this one (and cheaper!) Message me on FB, I have an idea!
Just watched a UK video from HubNut showing a Cedric van that is true Wasabi…completely shot to bits due to being abandoned for decades in a scrap yard…
Of course not! I've got footage of a black kujira Crown, which is as beautiful and luxurious as this Cedric. As a UA-camr, I've got to balance lots of factors though. Will get to it one day.
Wow, the only really good styling is the 4 Door Hardtop, or a Sedan with roof lines like this Cedric had! My favorit cars are 4 Doors, especially the 4 Door Hardtop's. For me it wasn't importand if it's a Chevy, a Ford, a Buick or something else like this... What was build in 1950-1970s. I didn't know that Nissan build a Car like this! It's very cool! I'm Not a "ricer".. i love Alfa Romeo and American classic cars. I'm from germany and German cars never was my favorite. Also not japanese or asian cars. So cool to see a japanese car in the great styling of the 60s & the 4 Door Hardtop bodystyle!!!

Thanks, Joe. Yeah the pillarless design looks great, and interesting that the Japanese persisted with it for so long.
And that´s a good thing!

its a treat to watch what a great looking car ( The Black nissan cedric 260 )
Nissan Cedric is one of the great car names
I really dig that Brougham. It reminds me a lot of the Green Hornet's Black Beauty.
Hello Daniel, just love this black hardtop Nissan Cedric ! Would love to own this one!!
I'm playing both videos at the same time. It's very fun!
"This car is wh-ack" lol! That and the "Ying Yang" before it made me laugh.
I like the Cedric Brougham more. The painted hub caps look amazing and just as deep as the black paint on the car.
You noticed the yang-ying, ying-yang?? Nice. :)
When I listened to them both at the same time, it was quite amazing!
;-)
Absolutely stunning. Better question of the day would be "left or right?"
I love the quarters on that 2800!
Yes! The 230 Cedric/Gloria lines are curvy buy soft. The 330's are sweet
Haha! Smart! A/B testing with two videos! Same voiceover, similar cars and cleverly packaged that you could reuse it. I would be interested in your findings and which one works better!

Lol. Actually wasn't meant to be an A/B test, but you're right. As for findings, the *combined* stats show that it was not popular. Oh, well. Haha.
WasabiCars what? How can't it be popular? Maybe it will get some love after some time?

Yeah, I thought the tail lights on the 2 door were stand outs

Stunning Cedric!
Certainly is.
Badassness level : Yakusa !
Surfacing on the bonnet there is beautiful :)
That is one hell of a car such classic styling what I would do with one of those if I had it oh my

Like a mirror

Ah, cool. I bought the very same kit some years ago. Don't know where it is now though

Ok, will dm
QOTD: i like the cedric more because LUXURYYYYY
I can relate to that
I wish we got these in the USA
QOTD both. Why? Because we don’t see them often if at all in Britain
Wait till you see the two cars of the other video...
That's sweet!
It is. My preference would be for the white 2 door though :)
I uhm don´t know what to say. :)
The hardtop versions are always the best ones.
:)
this car both had daimler & diesel versions
Just watched a UK video from HubNut showing a Cedric van that is true Wasabi…completely shot to bits due to being abandoned for decades in a scrap yard…
Yeah, I did see the picture and discussion on Facebook. I've not seen the video as yet. It's an incredible find.
WOW!!!!
You can say that again

nice one :D
qotd: both are cool, but id go with 330 as im not too much into c10's haha
Not sure if you saw the partner video, but the special Nissan in that was was an S10 Silvia. Amazing
QOTD - The Black Cedric, due to the "roulette wheel" hubcaps.
holy shit man
Only the best shit ;-)

If its funny its because its true. At least you're still putting shit out from time to time O'Grady. Always interesting.
Keep your eyes peeled for any Ke10 'Rollas you might come across please.
I'm putting out shit every week :D And, thank you
