I cannot tell you how wonderful your binding tutorial is! I've been watching how to quilt videos for some time and it has never come across so clear! I'll definitely be making some of these for myself and my knitting friends for the holiday season!!! Thank you again!
Hair looks great! Thanks for showing how you do the binding. Easiest way I have seen. Love how this turned out. Great for gifts as well. Happy Week 🤗
Absolutely beautiful can’t even wait to try this project. Thanks for the tutorial
Al
I began following you for your homeschool content ~ and am realllllly falling in love with your crafty side! You are very inspirational--thank you for sharing your projects and tips with all of us! I always leave your videos feeling: happy and inspired. :)
I really enjoy your tutorials and I love your fabric choices, the colours you put together, just gorgeous! And these little projects are just fantastic I've made a few of them for myself and I've given some as gifts. Keep them coming!
Very cute! It was your notebook cover that I first followed you with and I have made so many for gifts! This one is ideal for my fellow crafter's at our Stitching group....for Christmas gifts! Thank you Erica x
As a beginner to sewing your video is the best that I have seen! You completely alleviated any of my concerns about binding, (some videos make it seem so complicated) and I actually feel confident enough to attempt this project. Thank-you very much, you probably hear it all the time but your a fantastic teacher, and your videos are now my number one go to from now on. ☺️🙏
Brilliant. I love the little pack. The binding tutorial was great.
This color looks great on you. I love it
What a great little case. It is very versatile. Might be a great sewing project for my oldest granddaughter to make. Think I’ll put a kit together for part of her Christmas gift. Thanks
Awesome tutorial, thank you so much for a fun & simple project to do for the holidays for gift giving.
Thank you! Soooo cute and you made this look doable for a newbie!!!
Another useful bag that I want to make! I love your concise tuts!
Great tutorial. You make it look so easy. Super cute project. Thank you!
And...your hair looks great, so would gold highlights! I just had mine changed too....it's always uplifting for us girls 😀
Lovely as always. I learn something new every time. Binding method seems easy. I think I can handle that 😊Thank you again. 🥰
Would love to see something similar with zippered vinyl pockets that are the height of the bag - one on each half. Also a tab closure with a magnetic snap! Love all of your tutorials. Thanks for sharing!
Very nice, pretty, and functional. Winner, winner.
You are Avery talented teacher and I really enjoy your videos. Thank you
Im definately trying this! Great tutorial ! Thanks for sharing. 😊
Thanks for tutorial I enjoyed watching it and the caddy is something I will be making soon.
Thank you! Great tutorial.
Thank you for sharing,I will be making one on the weekend.
Thank for this tutorial. I enjoyed it very much. I like the new look😀
Love, so cute too. Now I want to make it, added to my long list.
Awesome ...great binding technique! thank you
Erica That is the first time I’ve ever seen the binding connected that way, very interesting I think I’ll have to try it! 👍🏼
There are a lot of ways to do binding, I have a tutorial on how to bind a quilt here that shows a couple ways: ua-cam.com/video/Q1vICZf9_Ys/v-deo.html
Great job love this one gonna have to get stitching on one of my own.😁
Love the Knit Caddy... will definitely give it a try. I recently made myself a double-pointed needle caddy because what else do you do during our new "stay-at-home+ live.!
Love the hair! ❤️
Sehr süß, Dank für die tolle Anleitung 🤗😍
Another awesome tutorial. Thank you.
Love your tutorials !!!!
Great tutorial! Thanks for sharing 😊
Great project and your hair looks nice!
Sewing kittens is the fabric I am using to make my Knitting Catty. My Embroidery Caddy will be made of English Roses and my Quilting Caddy will be patchwork of course. When not being used they will reside in a fabric basket I have made of Wm. Morris print. Thank you so very much for the instructions and great ideas. Now instead of digging through boxes and drawers I will know the location of those little important things.
How clever! I think this would be great for keeping water color brushes or colored pencils, etc.!
THANKS I really love this proyect. Im a begginer I was thinking can you do something similar but with a zipper all around please
So cute. Thanks for sharing
So very informative. Thank you!
I love your tutorials. I would love to see a tutorial for a roll up knitting needle case.
Oh good! That's next on my list!! :)
This is awesome! Thank you!
love this, thank you!
Loved it 🥰!!!! Thank you 😊 👌😘‼️
I will also do one of these. Grat Video. Greetings from Germany
awesome tutorial!it was so helpful!:D
Great! I think I will create one but for my quilting stuff :-)
Very useful video, thank you.
Olá, está linda, e adorei o seu projeto é maravilhoso!!
Wow super cute
Finally got this together. It’s great. Only one change I’d make….I would have the fabric pocket higher…it’s too short to support knitting needles or crochet hooks. Rest is awesome. Thank you
You can definitely make it taller if you like. It fit my DPN needles perfectly.
This pouch could be use for so many things.
So cute thank you
Love the hair
Great video thanks
Love it❣️
Muy lindó y práctico
luv it!
Darker hair makes you look younger. I love the project.
Thanks, I'll take that!
Very nice!!
I love it! What about something cute to keep your insurance information, tag receipts and registration papers in your car?
A great idea!
Thank you.
love it
TYFS. I subscribed 😃 I would love to know how to do one of those pouches where the zipper is longer on each side of the pouch and has tabs on each end. I cannot find a video on you tube for those anywhere! Happy Sewing from Kate in New York 🌹
Erica you were asking for any ideas on what to sew next, could you please make a tutorial on how to sew a fabric book cover?
They are very popular right now and it could be a really fun and useful project thank-you 👍
Hi, I have two here: ua-cam.com/video/zFQTEARWCtk/v-deo.html and ua-cam.com/video/PWh0xbZ8--E/v-deo.html
Think your hair looks lovely
You're lovely, thanks for sharing 🌹🌹🌹
Love it ❤️. 🐨🇦🇺🏖
Sew adorable ❤️
Thank you. Nice caddy. BJ
I would love a tutorial on making a mini pressing board!!!😊
ua-cam.com/video/kIrjAix_6fM/v-deo.html
Very nice tutorial, easy way to do binding too! What brand of sewing machine do you use, it is so quiet.
Love it. Did you use any special needle to sew the vinyl?
Nope!
Can you make a circular needle plus crochet hooks holder that holds everything in one cover.
looking at getting in to knitting, what kind of knitting supplies have you put in to this awesome little pouch?
I would add Velcro to the small supply pockets so the don’t slip out especially for the tiny supplies. I will make for my Tunisian crochet hooks
Erica I love your tutorials. Do you have one to go with this that would hold the yarn with a little hole on top for the yarn to come out of?
Hi Elizabeth, I'm sorry I don't really have a yarn holder tutorial, I'll keep it in mind :)
I’m a new subscriber and beginner sewer. I also knit. Have you made a video tutorial for a circular needle case?(I also have DPN’s). Thank you and I’m trying to watch all of your videos.
It's coming next! I've already filmed, just need to edit and upload. So stay tuned! :)
I have to have a clever needle threader.. like the pink or purple one.
Can we make one to add this to our pin holder
👍👍👍
Hat is so beautiful, and I so cross stitching also. And this candy will be ideal for that. I am still wondering about my vinal that stretches,,,? Pls advice . As I love these vinal projects. .....❤️🌹❤️🌹❤️
Like I said on my other video, I haven't ever had the vinyl stretch, but it can slide around. So it's best to go slow and hold it in place as you go. If it's stretching, you may be using a lighter weight vinyl and if your presser foot tension is really high it may be pressing down too hard on the vinyl.
Nice 👌
Hi Erica, I'm from South Africa and I struggle to get some sewing stuff like the fusible fleece, can I just use normal batting? Again all your tutorials are great, just love all your stuff. Take care.
Hi! Yes, of course, you just have to make sure to quilt it to your project so it stays in place :) Though this caddy is pretty small anyway, so it might be fine without any quilting too :)
Great video and your hair looks amazing! Great choice of brown. I know im jumping ahead but do you have any Christmas🎄❄ ideas (diy videos) like making ornaments, small basket gifts, decorations etc. December is right around the corner and this year I want to be prepared and not do last minute runs, but actually enjoy this wonderful season with the family. 🤗
Yes, they're coming soon!!!
Hi! What keeps everything from falling out if you turn it upside down? I've done that!😊
Yes, the items can fall out! I was thinking about doing one with a zipper next...you can also add a little flap on the top to stop that as well, I just didn't on this project.
😍😍😍😘
Hello, from Nova Scotia,Canada... I was looking at pattern instructions. You listed fabric size needed.. What does f8 mean...sorry, i am a newbie sewer for this type of project. TIA
Sorry! F8 is a fat eighth which is half a fat quarter. So they are typically 9" x 21"
Sewing Holder bag
I would like to see a fixed circular needle case tutorial.
Hi, I have this one you might like: ua-cam.com/video/nwJjYnNdWc0/v-deo.html
Very cute and functional. Not sure what the "WOF" stands for in the supply list for the binding.
Hi Janice, WOF = width of fabric, you can find that listed on the end of the bolt if you are at a fabric store. It is typically 42" for a normal cotton quilting fabric bolt, but can vary by manufacturer. :)
Thanks. I had a couple of issues. When sewing down the center of my vinyl pocket, my presser foot must have been sticking...so it was trying to gather. I had to remove the stitches, and zig-zag a small binding, to cover those holes in the vinyl. I haven't quilted, so the corners were a bit difficult for me to get, but I am pleased with the final result anyway. Best of all, I won't have to take my accessories to class in a zip lock baggie anymore. :)
Hey Erica, you may have seen me yesterday😂 but I do not have fussible fleece. Do I need it, can I sew without it? Thank you!❤️
No, you can just use regular quilt batting or even interfacing :)
By fusible fleece do you mean interfacing? Or is it different?
Love the tutorial and would like to make the project, however, can’t find the measurements. Can you send them to me please?
They're in the video description, just click the 'show more' link below the video.
To go along with your caddy, you could make a dpn storage roll/tie case! 🤔 (You know so, I can be a cheapo, and not spend 40+ bucks (+S&H) ordering one. 😏)
Yes, that's next on my list!
@@erica_arndt Yay! \0/ (psst. Love the hair)
You could use some netting instead of the vinyl!
Absolutely! :)
So do all the stitches you made to attach the pouches go through to the outside of the whole thing? Or am I missing something?
No, if you watch the video, the inside pockets are added before it is attached to the batting and outside of the case.
Where would your recommend purchasing material online? Joannes induces panic and anxiety. I dont have a hobby lobby near me. I know nothing about sewing but i want to make my own notions case. Thanks so much.
Hi, I have a video on where to buy fabric here: ua-cam.com/video/F2tNL8M_I6s/v-deo.html
@@erica_arndt thanks so much. Im getting burned out with knitting. I am hoping small simple sewing projects with help me reboot my motivation
What brand are your DPNs?
They're Knitters Pride Zing DPNs amzn.to/2Xh8IwL
👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍😘😘😘💕💕💕💕💕
