Yes that was a huge huge mistake.. That little boy went to the future to get his girlfriend back.. It serves him right after all the terrible times he treated her so badly
James Cameron had it wrote into the original Terminator that the infiltration models had to have a rudimentary organic digestive system in order to pass for human (and for the skin, IIRC). There was a scripted scene in T1 that had the T-800 chomp down a candy bar in two bites while Reese explained that they need limited food. TSCC is really dependent on the mythology (deleted scenes and all) of the first two films.
I've always wondered about this. Living tissue, even basic rudimentary organics would require nutrients and proteins to sustain the living biological matter.
Can understand Derek's distrust of a terminator but he was stubborn & dense as well. How many times did Cameron save their ass or could have dusted all of them numerous times? His ongoing distrust was illogical.
Finally somebody else who noticed.. She saved all of their lives in fact more than once.. They all would've been dead if it hadn't been for her.. Sarah was worse 1 of all.. She never once said thank you cameron for saving my life.. It made some sense with sarah because she was very jealous of cameron. She could see that her and john were falling in love.. And she wanted john alto herself..Derek was insane.. He was absolutely nothing like his brother.. And he was a cold blooded killer.. And he was saying cameron couldn't be trusted.
I've always loved this scene for some reason. XD It's a usual, nothing special, everyday action, but with Cameron it's... symbolic, and a great scene. Like in Death Note where Light uses the line "I will take this chip, and eat it!" as a personal challenge in a life and death battle of morals. Hard to explain.
"Hydraulic actuators instead of muscles. Controlled by a microcomputer. It has to eat and breathe to keep the skin alive, though a lot less than us... and there's a little tiny heart and internal organs about the size of a chicken's in a recessed compartment."
She can eat but its still got to be messy, even with the rudimentary digestion her model has. In the whole run of the show she ate like 2 times and 1 bite each time.
They never explained how the Terminators with living tissue kept that tissue, muscle, blood and various organic matter alive? It would require nutrients and proteins to sustain itself. She's the only model displaying some form of digestion.
@iscal1 Cybernetic organism, in the terminator series, they can create & heal their "human" body surface, so Cameron is a new model ,you know. (My bad ENG.)
I know, the way she nods gets pretty funny sometimes. Especially the one when Derrick found the chip and told her to prove she wasn't lying. That was the best nod.
My theory is she has a tiny furnace in her "stomach" to dry and incinerate the food. Some RV toilets work that way in real life. The big advantage is no odor and the waste bin can last almost a week before you have to empty it.
He winds to 110 on the freeway and answers: "It's called a cyborg really. Cybernetic organism. A machine put together with a living thing. The skin, and some layers under it, the hair, the surface of the eyes, and the inside of the mouth... all that stuff's human tissue, genetically designed for the cyborgs. But underneath it's all steel and titanium."
Camerone actually ate a couple of time during the series, I was kinda hoping they were going to explain that, Is it T888s that eat to con humans even more? I know T900s cant eat, Hope SCC is brought back!!!!!!!
It has to be said, an Infiltrator Terminator would be easy to spot because a total lack of need for food or drink would stand out. Cameron's "A little" ability makes a lot of sense in that respect. My greatest regret from the series is we never got to find out WHY future John sent Cameron back to 1999 and had her move his younger self and Cameron forwards in time to 2007. Did John die in that missing time originally, yet find out via time travel and wipe his own death from history? Did he do it to save Sarah? Was Cameron actually acting on Skynet programming for unknown reasons? Is Cameron actually Skynet itself? Such good work and so many clever ideas, all just lost. Also: John Connor time-jumped from 2009 to 2027 to save Cameron later, to discover the Machine War had occurred despite everything-and Humanity hadn't gone extinct fighting Skynet without him. Had somebody else stepped up? Or had something more radical changed? Could an aged Sarah Connor have ended up leading the Resistance under another name so Skynet couldn't pin her down in history? It was called "The Sarah Connor Chronicles" for a reason... I guess we'll just never know.
@@Creasy5678 I was referring to the T-900 (blue) endoskeleton having a cameo in Terminator 3. But otherwise, Cameron is a T-900 in the series but as you know, doesn't show her entire endoskeleton.... Only half of it's/her face.
"Yeah, well that's OK. But that doesn't mean it isn't happening. You've got to accept and understand what this thing is. It can't be reasoned with, it can't be bargained with, it doesn't feel pity or remorse or fear...and it absolutely will not stop, ever, once it has been targeted. Unless it's destroyed."
The Terminator treatment, July, 1982: Treatment part 1 - after killing the first Sarah Connor Some kids who have gathered nervously at the curb step back as he walks out, gets in the car, and drives away. He pulls a Milky Way bar out of his pocket and eats it as he drives, in two bites, without removing the wrapper.
i think when she said "I know you, too" she meant that she knew him from the future....but idk for sure... lol i bet she never "pooped" out that piece of pancake throughtout the whole series....hahahaha
She's programmed to use food as a fuel source and a means to maintain her living tissue. The latter of which was based on an idea from the original Script where the T800 had to eat a lot of food to prevent his skin from rotting off the skeleton.
the thing is we only see her eat starches. Which are easy to break down, but her organic 'layer' will need proteins as well. Which means she ought to have to urinate. Mammals typically get rid of nitrogenous wastes by urination. Its possible she could sweat them out, but we don't see her sweat either. What I want to know is how she gets rid of waste heat.
To be honest, in the first Terminator film there was a Scripted scene, but not filmed, where The Terminator (Arnold) has to eat to keep its skin alive.
Treatment part 2 - Reese explanation during the car chase Kyle Reese: "See, this Terminator's not a guy, it's a machine. It's made to look human so it can infiltrate." "If it's a machine, how could it bleed?"
"This is insane." "Yeah, tell me about it. See, it sweats and has bad breath and feels totally human, so it can infiltrate real well. I mean, they still used the 600 Series Hunter-Killers and the other 'roach patrol' machines but..." "I don't believe any of this," Sarah says. Frantic. She seems about to scream.
Since all the organs are the machine and the only human tissue being the skin and muscle, one can assume that unlike us, infiltration units do poop but at their own convenience. Unlike us, where we are lowkey forced to dump by our bodies, the terminator probably can just pause the process indefinitely until they reach a suitable situation.
We are all ITs. We are biological robots with consciousness(which some feel as an illusion of a ghost in the machine). I suppose in practice her metal structure might have to be distinctly feminine so that when the flesh goes on it looks convincing. You can't just design flesh onto a metal skeleton one day and get Arnie and another day get Cameron. So, the metal must have a distinctly Cameron like, thus distinctly feminine structure.e.g Maybe wider hips than an equally sized male equivalent..
I love hers mouth, she´s so pretty, by the way, my girlfriend hates me coz Summer L Glau is in my dreams at nights. I want her in flesh and bones (or endoskeleton) lol.
Reese exits the freeway and blends into street traffic for a while, abiding the law until he can find a place to switch cars. Im not making this up so don't lable me as a bad comment
Remember that Cameron is an infiltration unit. She has to have organic systems in order to effectively merge with human society so therefore she needs to be able to eat. Maybe not as often as you or I but her 'body' needs it. The T-800 which I assume you're referring to was mainly a combat unit and therefore was not required to do more than look human. It was just some artificial skin on a chassis.
pancake terminated
This scene is so funny just seeing how infuriating her chewing and swallowing the pancake is to Derek.
that's cause he expected her to be the older model...... the ones that weren't built to imitate eating :D

She's saving it for John in the future.
A lot of things she saved for her future husband
2018 and I still lime this show too bad it was cancelled and left on a big cliffhanger ,but hoping it might return someday 👍
its possible that most actors may reprise their roles, but its very rare....
it depends on the actors themselves and how feel about it.

Derek also likes Cameron (who doesn't?) but he doesn´t want to admit it

It's also genius from production point of view: they show a special ability of the terminator without needing any CGI or practical special effect.
"Hydraulic actuators instead of muscles. Controlled by a microcomputer. It has to eat and breathe to keep the skin alive, though a lot less than us... and there's a little tiny heart and internal organs about the size of a chicken's in a recessed compartment."
