floex831 I wouldn’t say that. There we’re actually quite a few scenes where she expressed emotion, particularly things like annoyance, surprise and even possibly sadness. The scene when John refuses to let her make him a sandwich (as silly as it sounds) is a great example of a scene when Cameron looks genuinely hurt by someone else’s actions. And it’s clear that it wasn’t an act, because during the scene, John actually walks away from her and as his back is turned the camera pans to Camerons face an you can clearly see a look of hurt in her eyes. Another scene is when John tells her that she can’t feel. She immediately explains that he is incorrect and how her cybernetic design actually allows her to feel sensations. She ends the conversation saying “I wouldn’t be worth much if I couldn’t feel” the way she says it is as if she genuinely wants John to understand that she is more than what humans perceive her to be. There is a small hint of annoyance in her voice even as she starts to explain everything to him, saying “I don’t think you understand how we work” as if she is somewhat offended at his assumption that she feels nothing. And let’s not forget that there was an entire episode where Cameron malfunctioned and for a short time became Alison: a resistance fighter whom she had killed some time before John had programmed her. As Alison was extremely emotional, expressing feelings of anger, fear and depression. She genuinely thought that she was human. I feel like this show was toying with the idea that the machines were truly alive. Perhaps not exactly in the same way that we humans are, and perhaps they even experience emotions differently than we do, but I have a feeling if this show had continued, they would have touched on that subject more in the future. It’s a shame they got cancelled.

The show was deeply flawed though. It was called the Sarah Connor chronicles, but Sarah Connor was by no stretch of the imagination the star of the show. In fact, if anything, it was about John and Cameron. With the Terminator name, people also expected Terminator movie like action sequences, with fighting robots, which was simply too expensive for TV. It was also flawed by trying to be too sanitary and kid-friendly. For example, are you telling me that when a horny teenage John Connor has access to a slave that will obey his every command and looks like Cameron that he wouldn't sneak away and at least feel her up, if not command her to give him a BJ? They also don't always explain stuff very well so it makes sense, like the writers don't explain why its important for this terminator to remain incognito around humans after she's already discovered and engaged in combat. Remember Arnold and the other terminator going at it in public all the time. It also doesn't fit with cannon in other films, where terminators are able to recognize each other from a distance, either through thermal imaging or some other ID tagging.
DumbDuck44 yeah, you're probably right. I think they did but they actually waited for their next move. Cameron and Triple Eights she is fighting against are frequently more subtle, they plan their actions and adapt themselves to be perfect cybernetic "agents" and not to expose themselves too much to a society f.e Cameron and Rosie stop fighting in elevator when family enters the elevator and in the pilot episode, Cromartie actually became substitute teacher and waited for John to expose himself during checking the attendance to kill him, but probably didn't have the database on Cameron's model (she is the latest model and she is marked as an unknown cyborg for older Skynet Units), so he couldn't detect her endoskeleton or she has some kind of a jammer to mislead their sensors. Cameron actually knew that Cromartie is a cyborg even when he entered the classroom and she was ready to protect John just in case, but she didn't expose her true nature immediately and pretended to be dead after taking the shot into her chest.
