- Do you find yourself praying the "sinner's prayer" over and over again? Are you not sure if you have done what is required to be saved? How can we get an assurance of our own salvation?
Melinda talks about how salvation is not something we earn but is a gift we receive from God (Ephesians 2:8-9), and He promises to never take it away (John 10:28-29).

Melinda, isn’t it true that even the demons believe in Jesus? Belief really isn’t enough, is it? What about repentance, and placing our faith in Jesus Christ as our Savior?
That is absolutely true that even the demons believe that Jesus is God! And yes, repentance is a PART of salvation in that it is a natural RESULT of experiencing the saving grace of Jesus. If someone does not feel the desire to repent, then they likely are not choosing to believe either.

Thank you for your response, Melinda and letting me know about the video on repentance, I will check it out. I have a granddaughter who is about to become 13 soon and I am looking for youtubes like yours to share with her. She does attend a Christian school, but I think she has the misconception that all you need to do is believe in God and even that Jesus died on the cross for our sins, which as we know is important, but it’s not enough to just believe, especially when she is also being drawn to the darkness of this world, and see’s nothing wrong with it, and has become quite good at lying. I am very concerned for her because of the dark days we are living in. I am praying she will see her need for Jesus as her Savior, turn from the darkness, and place her faith in Him.
