its everything it is life!!! the second i gave my life to jesus and read the book and understood the word i want to cry, my heart weeps because i was raised in Virginia and now live in Cali and when i look around at all the people that forsaken God its so sad and all i want to do is take them with me...i have so much to preach God shows me tells me so much taught me so much i have so much information perspective love for God fear for God it pours out sometime i learn so much about the bible i dont care about work or money or tv or music only what God has to say....if i could wear a cloth around my body and just praise God ALLLLLLLLL the time i would...i mean no stopping to eat or drink or sleep....but i cant just praise and thank God i need to bring all EVERYONE to God away from Satan because i know so many people who are just misinformed or to busy to look up or to look within themselves ive talked to people before and when you say something to someone and the look comes over their face...the thousand yard stare...they are looking inward. and when i can get someone to do that with God and Jesus in their heart and mind than the rest will burn through their soul like a wildfire in the amazon during the fall season when all the leaves are dried up lol but yes i will become a vessel for God !!! i just dont know where to start!

Get involved in a local church, and start serving there. Speak to a pastor that you know is annointed and has the fear of the Lord and seek his mentorship. Like pastor John said here, immerse yourself in the word..pray up..and walk by the spirit constantly and consistently. Also, one of the biggest platforms to reach people is in everyday life..at the job, neighbors etc etc. Phone is dying..lol. Be salt, be light. John 12:32..read it. God bless.

Ok I'm 21 and I feel like I have felt this call.. I've had it for the better part of of six months.. I have helped a couple of my friends and witnessed to more than a few people who regularly attend church now... god is great.. he has worked through me.. I'm not baptised. I have sinned in almost every possible way I yet I feel blessed/confused that I feel being a pastor is my calling.. it doesn't makes sense to me... I keep having dreams of giving my testimony and mentoring under a local pastor... I believe god is giving me this but I'm such a sinner.. I don't know if anyone will really take me seriously...
Someone please give me some advice.. I feel it stronger than wanting to raise a family which has been my lifelong goal.. I just don't know where to go from here
I'd suggest that you take this desire and share it with a local pastor that can give you insight in the next steps of your life. How is your involvement within the church? Even now, you can use your gifts to bless the church whether its through small groups or prayer or in your conversations. But I would first talk to a pastor to confirm next steps in your life.

Interesting. I've trusted God and Jesus Christ as my savor a long time ago. I'm 50 years old now. I still hear this compelling call to teach and I have on different occasions. I've lead worship. Brother jus give it a go, you never know! You don't want a scenario where you let our savior down with such a lengthy procastination! Teaching is extremely important in the body of Christ as it requires much more wisdom than jus preaching!

My father is a pastor at a small church called Shannondale. I have had thoughts that I want to follow that path and take over our tiny church when he leaves. Due to family circumstances in another state, he is kind of being forced to leave our church and move away. I am 24 now and have basically started setting up my life in a small town about 20 minutes away from Shannondale and the church i was raised in. My brothe and I were raised in the parsonage. we ran around the church grounds and played every day. I want so much to take up the mantle so to speak and keep our little church going. I just feel that I am not passionate enough in my faith to teach others. I also feel that without a pastor ( my dad) our church will die. It is a historic church from the thirties. Granted we only have around 20 people in the flock, but they will have nowhere to go. I have prayed, but I feel like I am not hearing or feeling what I should do. Any advise?
I understand where your coming from, I recently stepped up and started preaching in my small church, that was started by my grandfather, then my father took it over. My father passed away last year and I've been doing all I can, I have always felt that call on my life, it's not an easy call but it is a fulfilling call. I would advice you to start teaching and being an active help in the church, God will continue to raise you up in your calling, as you serve in any way u can.

Wow this kinda is my situation. I have bad stage freight and I believe I’ve been called to preach. I wish I could just be an assistant and work in the shadows. I do love taking care of the flock but giving speeches in front of people is my weakness.
I got one ? If want to become a pastor but you cannot read that way how would you be able to do it I know they have Bibles I know they have CDs audio how would you be able to preach to people would you be able to use to use the audio CD's and show them
Yup, audio bibles and scripture memorization. It may not be academic teaching but you can be very accurate and doctrinally centric, preaching w/ conviction /holiness, grace, and the love of the Lord. No reading can be done.
Event that i have been experience ,strange or miracle which I wrote in many sites, I am an Arab from State of Qatar this is not my name for personal reasons in the second half of April 2016 , I woken suddenly to witness this this phenomenon I saw on the ceiling of my room clearly and for period a few seconds,it was sufficient the image of the Christ the face clear, as i remembered , i think hinted that his hands back and appearance is very natural without the presence of things out of the ordinary, the face white and a little long, the beard is normal and the hair of the head lays on top of his shoulders the eyes with beauty and sharp looking and features are wonderful resembles from the Middle East Caucasians people , image impressed me with complete clarity . I thought at first that he looked like one of my friends to a slight degree, but quickly I felt inspiration jumped to my mind. If you have to ask, then God isn't the one doing the calling. If you believe God is calling you and you think that means you need to head to seminary, God isn't the one calling you.

I do not want to be a pastor nor do I see myself as one. During a prophecy, I was told I was going to be a pastor. My wife also had a dream that I became a pastor.....The desire is not in my heart. Being a pastor is too much to deal with.
And yet you and your wife had the same dream. Perhaps you haven’t fully accepted God. There could be a strong desire to spread his word, and maybe that will come suddenly in the future. Come closer to God and surrender your tomorrow. If he says preach, preach.
Pastoral gifting doesn't mean you need to be a professional pastor. You can be useful in other ways /positions. Almost any leadership role in church should be pastoral though they aren't the lead pastor.
Frankly I'm shocked the this Pastor left out the most important thing. Requirements and Qualifications! I'll say it again, Requirements and Qualifications! A man (and I do mean men, not women) can have all those prerequisites that he just explained and be single, or divorced , and his wife is still living, to name two examples, and he does NOT qualify for Pastoral office. Period! I don't care how much he thinks he's qualified. This is shocking to me that he didn't say these things FIRST!

I understand where your coming from, I recently stepped up and started preaching in my small church, that was started by my grandfather, then my father took it over. My father passed away last year and I've been doing all I can, I have always felt that call on my life, it's not an easy call but it is a fulfilling call. I would advice you to start teaching and being an active help in the church, God will continue to raise you up in your calling, as you serve in any way u can.

A guy who told me to try to get out of it. And he said the more you try get out if it the more you can tell if Jesus is calling u to preach because he said u don't want to do it. I talked about what how to become a preacher
Wow this kinda is my situation. I have bad stage freight and I believe I’ve been called to preach. I wish I could just be an assistant and work in the shadows. I do love taking care of the flock but giving speeches in front of people is my weakness.

I got one ? If want to become a pastor but you cannot read that way how would you be able to do it I know they have Bibles I know they have CDs audio how would you be able to preach to people would you be able to use to use the audio CD's and show them
Yup, audio bibles and scripture memorization. It may not be academic teaching but you can be very accurate and doctrinally centric, preaching w/ conviction /holiness, grace, and the love of the Lord. No reading can be done.

Event that i have been experience ,strange or miracle which I wrote in many sites, I am an Arab from State of Qatar this is not my name for personal reasons in the second half of April 2016 , I woken suddenly to witness this this phenomenon I saw on the ceiling of my room clearly and for period a few seconds,it was sufficient the image of the Christ the face clear, as i remembered , i think hinted that his hands back and appearance is very natural without the presence of things out of the ordinary, the face white and a little long, the beard is normal and the hair of the head lays on top of his shoulders the eyes with beauty and sharp looking and features are wonderful resembles from the Middle East Caucasians people , image impressed me with complete clarity . I thought at first that he looked like one of my friends to a slight degree, but quickly I felt inspiration jumped to my mind. If you have to ask, then God isn't the one doing the calling. If you believe God is calling you and you think that means you need to head to seminary, God isn't the one calling you.
You also dont need to feel called. You dont see feeling called to be a pastor in none of the times it talks about becoming an overseer or deacon.

But, what if you tell the truth, according to Christ, and are still treated as offensive? Now, we're talking being called. What if I should preach the gospel, according to Christ, and the vast majority of Christianity, preaches a gospel ABOUT, Christ? Now, we're talking about being called. I've resisted, over 35 years. I do not want to be a pastor nor do I see myself as one. During a prophecy, I was told I was going to be a pastor. My wife also had a dream that I became a pastor.....The desire is not in my heart. Being a pastor is too much to deal with.
And yet you and your wife had the same dream.
Perhaps you haven’t fully accepted God. There could be a strong desire to spread his word, and maybe that will come suddenly in the future. Come closer to God and surrender your tomorrow. If he says preach, preach.
Pastoral gifting doesn't mean you need to be a professional pastor. You can be useful in other ways /positions. Almost any leadership role in church should be pastoral though they aren't the lead pastor.
Frankly I'm shocked the this Pastor left out the most important thing. Requirements and Qualifications! I'll say it again, Requirements and Qualifications! A man (and I do mean men, not women) can have all those prerequisites that he just explained and be single, or divorced , and his wife is still living, to name two examples, and he does NOT qualify for Pastoral office. Period! I don't care how much he thinks he's qualified. This is shocking to me that he didn't say these things FIRST!
