412teens.org is dedicated to encouraging teens and sharing pearls of biblical truth in a sea of spiritual sludge. We're an outreach of Got Questions Ministries, and we want to do the same as they do: Glorify God by providing biblical, applicable, and timely answers to spiritually-related questions. They do it at GotQuestions.org. We do it at 412teens.org!
The "412" stands for 1 Timothy 4:12, which is "Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity." Just because you're young, that doesn't mean you have nothing to offer. Teens can be incredible examples of God's amazing grace and love. We believe teens have awesome insights and perspectives that adults could really benefit from.

This is a Good topic
The best explanation is the Christian god doesn't exist. Natural explanations well explain why bad things happen. According to UNICEF about 29 000 children under the age of five die each day mainly from preventable causes. That's 21 dead children every minute. That's 10.6 million a year. That's the equivalent of a holocaust every year. More than 70 percent of these 10.6 million children deaths every year are attributable to six causes 1- diarrhea, 2 - malaria, 3 - neonatal infection, 4 -pneumonia, 5 - preterm delivery and 6 - lack of oxygen at Birth. Science's responses is to give them the things needed to prevent these deaths while religion's responses those are part of God's plan. Really! What kind of plan is that? What kind of God who is all-powerful and all good would not stop that? I'm talking about innocent children who have no free will. They're not freely choosing to die. Why would an all powerful, all loving God allow that to happen? Answer: He wouldn't.
David danced before the Lord
Absolutely!
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The Father is God, the first Person of the Trinity, the One who governs and judges and creates. By the Father, we are created and given our purpose in life. He is who we are trying to reach in Heaven, to enter into His presence. The Son is God, the second Person of the Trinity. He is the Prince of Peace, the Redemeer, the King of Kings, the Word and Lamb of God through which Creation was both accomplished and redeemed. He sits at the right hand of the Father. His sacrifice and resurrection are the core of what allows us to reach the Father in heaven, and His return to Earth will mark the full judgement and redemption, followed by His perfect reign. The Holy Spirit is God, the third Member of the Trinity who guards us, guides us, comforts us, and provides insight to us. He is the one who marks us as redeemed, dwells within us, changes our hearts, and comforts us when we fall or struggle. All three are one Being, the eternal Triune God. He is our Creator, our Savior, our King, and our Protector. None can stand against Him. Every knee will bow, every tongue will confess, that He is Lord.

Very intelligent, balanced and articulate message imho. Well done !!

"spoiler allert" i watched a series named "lock and key" its about some kids finding keys in their new home and it unlocks different things like give you the abillity to travel in time, teleport with the help of a door etc, they find out that the keys is forged with a demon souls and they realise that nothing good comes from the abillities the keys offer and decide to get rid of all the keys. its very similar to sin in our lives, sin can be "good" in short term but in the end hurt us or others. and the series shows that so clear that i felt it was a christian message in the end of the story. im glad that i saw that show.
Excellent example of how we can take "secular" entertainment and learn something from it that applies to our faith! 👏
I bought The Conjuring and The Exorcist on DVD and soon after had an accident and fractured my elbow. I threw those DVD's away..
John 14: …8Philip said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and that will be enough for us.” 9 Jesus replied, “Philip, I have been with you all this time, and still you do not know Me? Anyone who has seen Me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? 10Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me? The words I say to you, I do not speak on My own. Instead, it is the Father dwelling in Me, performing His works.… Romans 8: 9 You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him. 10 But if Christ is in you, although the body is dead because of sin, the Spirit is life because of righteousness. 11 If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus[d] from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you. John 15:26-27 26 “I will send you the Helper[a] from the Father. The Helper is the Spirit of truth[b] who comes from the Father. When he comes, he will tell about me. 27 And you will tell people about me too, because you have been with me from the beginning. Philippians 2:13 for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose. . Matthew 3:16-17 The moment Jesus came up out of the baptismal waters, the skies opened up and he saw God’s Spirit-it looked like a dove-descending and landing on him. And along with the Spirit, a voice: “This is my Son, chosen and marked by my love, delight of my life.”
Hi, I really liked your video!! Could you do a video on whether Christians can/ should celebrate Halloween?? It used to be my favourite, but now I am not sure if it is sinful or if I am idolising it. I don't know if I can't stop thinking about it because God wants me to change my view on it, or because the devil wants to cause me anxiety and make me feel bad for liking something. Just for clarification, I have always been scared of demonic/witchcraft and have never taken part in it and I also don't like Halloween because of the parties/Alcohol etc. I just really like the vibes, carving Pumpkins, watching Hocus Pocus or Halloween town, building a cosy Fort in the living room, and the art behind Makeup. I know it's not easy to find a clear answer, but I really hope you can help me. Have a nice day!! :)
Thank you for your kind words, friend! Regarding Halloween, it sounds like you have a healthy view of it, and we DO have a video about how Christians ought to view Halloween here: 412teens.org/qna/should-Christians-celebrate-halloween.php
2:55 _"what is not OK is drunkenness, addiction, or allowing your actions to harm others"_ What does "addiction" mean here? There are men of an older generation of Evangelicals, of Muslim or 7 D A or Mormon persuasions who will take habitual alcohol use as a clear sign of addiction, no matter the quantities. There are also people who want to discredit a writer or to find a solution for a homeless person by pretending he's an addict. I am both a writer and homeless, so concerned.
This also concerns a big portion of Swedish health care system, since Swedes had a big drinking problem among poor in the 19th C. and overreacted by teetotalist movements.
I'm so sorry to hear of your housing situation! Praying that God provides some solutions for your needs. 💜 The kind of addiction we are talking about is dependency upon a substance--whether physically or mentally. If someone is using a substance in such a way that they cannot stop or function without it, then that is addiction. In this way, addiction has a negative effect on one's life and relationships, and help should be sought to find freedom from reliance on that substance.
@@412teens _"If someone is using a substance in such a way that they cannot stop or function without it, then that is addiction."_ Including medication for high glucose?
There is nothing inherently wrong with taking prescription medication. Prescribed medication, so long as it is being used as prescribed, can actually HELP us function in daily life, so that is not what we're talking about here. Those medications (such as for managing diabetes) are fine because they help the body function better. Needing prescribed medication to help your body function better is not addiction; it is a medical treatment for better physical (or mental) health. If someone is using alcohol (for example) to regulate their stress and anxiety, then that is not going to lead to better health. Does that difference make sense? And while there ARE addictive prescription medications, under medical supervision, they can still be beneficial. Of course, prescription medications might be abused by the user, but that is not following how their doctor has prescribed it. I hope this helps!
@@412teens _"Those medications (such as for managing diabetes) are fine because they help the body function better."_ So, if I use alcohol in a comparable way, helping the body to function better by peeing well before I go to sleep, what's the difference?

Jesus is the Holy Spirit. Case Closed.
I don’t know a Christian that does not believe that God is not sovereign. In his sovereignty He can choose conditions for salvation such as faith and repentance. That would not compromise His character that is love, grace and mercy. Sovereignty is not his main attribute, but his status. God IS love. For me believing that God arbitrarily chooses unconditionally only some for salvation means limited love, limited grace, limited mercy. It’s no longer the God Jesus portrayed, when he prayed for forgiveness of the sins of his enemies in the cross while dying for them.
Thank you for sharing this, friend!

Whats a ideation?
"Ideation" is simply thinking about certain concepts or thoughts. The medical term for thinking about suicide is "suicidal ideation" or SI.
@@412teens oh ok
So many people mistake repentance as asking for forgiveness and not doing the sins again, that’s fruit of repentance, so many people think when it says to repent and believe you have to turn from sin, and asking for forgiveness, instead it’s a change of mined and we turn from sin in love for Jesus, thanks for speaking truth ❤
It's so true that there is a deep misunderstanding of repentance. There are, in fact, two types of repentance: the one that leads to salvation, and the one that maintains our relationship with God when we sin or are tempted by sin.

I think when it comes to asking questions, every Christian’s answer will be different and when it comes to setting boundaries it’s different for each Christian and having discernment is gonna be different for every Christian especially when it comes to Roman’s 14 too That includes me and that also includes Christian UA-camrs that are against horror movies or even secular music. I still don’t know what non spiritual interest even means Can you guys also do a video about God wanting to hang out with us thru our entertainment like secular music/ Christian music and even thru horror movies and movies, video games, comic books in general
You are absolutely right that so much of the nuances how we live our lives are going to be super specific to each individual. A "non-spiritual" interest might be considered anything that is not an active meditation on growing your faith. Those active meditations could be prayer, studying God's Word, worshiping in church, participating in a group Bible study, etc. We've done a ton of videos on special interests, and the message we continue to send is that it is up to each individual to INVITE God into their activities. It's no more complicated than that! You can also think about the fruit of the Spirit and how you can practice those traits through the other activities in your life.
@@412teens are the audio versions of the Bible included too
@@davidsmither95 I don't quite understand your question... Are the audio versions of the Bible included where?
@@412teens is the audio version of the Bible included as a active meditation just like reading the Bible, prayer and stuff like those. Also, can a Christian do online church since they are available online like on social media like Facebook.
@@davidsmither95 Oh, I see! Yes, if you are actively listening to the Bible, that is meditating on God's Word as well--just as it would "count" as reading if you listened to an audiobook. After all, those who cannot read for whatever reason (such as being visually impaired) can still study God's Word by listening! And online church is a great way to "attend" church if you don't have access to a good, Bible-teaching church or cannot attend for some reason (such as illness, disability, distance, etc.) We have an article on this topic here: 412teens.org/qna/what-if-I-cannot-go-to-church.php We would still encourage you to find a Christian community (even if online) to help you learn, grow, and serve. We weren't meant to go it alone!
I have a question about your guys Facebook post about in the world not of the world I like watching movies including horror movies and secular music (including rap/hip hop in general) Would I be in the world even when it comes to other stuff too like comic books and video games on consoles and iOS. Also what does non spiritual interest mean?
Take a look at the video we just posted about it! ua-cam.com/video/UvoDnwOlrQc/v-deo.html
The label 'secular music' is a sign of a guilty conscience. Feeding the body and feeding the mind are one and the same. Romans 14:20,21 Do not destroy the work of God for the sake of Food. All things indeed are pure, but it is evil for the man who eats with offense. It is good neither to eat meat nor drink wine nor do anything by which your brother stumbles or is offended or is made weak.
"Secular" simply refers to things that are not strictly "Christian" or have no religious affiliation. Of course discernment should be used regardless of the label, for even some "Christian" music may not be edifying for some.
God bless you
May God bless you too, friend 💜🙏
I got baptized when I was 16. The church leaders encouraged us to get baptized and I said yes and wanted to get baptized. I accepted Jesus christ but we took a baptism class that explained to us baptism is a good thing and it can bring us closer to God we also learned that they encourage believers to be baptized so I got baptized with some others from the church it was a wonderful experience
How wonderful! Thank you for sharing your baptism story! 💜🙏
What if I have intrusive thoughts about agreeing with the intrusive thoughts I had before?
Still sounds like an intrusive thought--but a persistent one. Maybe start taking some steps to refute those thoughts with reality <3
What if I intentionally create sinful thoughts in my mind even though I don't want to agree with them? Is that a sin?
Then that is intentional and not intrusive. I'm not sure of the specific situation that you're referring to though. If they are harmful/sinful thoughts you desire to seek out then to dwell on them, then that is likely sin. If it's something like...you are thinking about how you had that thought and this helps you choose NOT to dwell upon it or to process why you're thinking those thoughts, then that would be a more helpful action and/or practicing self control over desires.
Thanks, but I talked to a parson about it in more detail and he said that it isn't a sin. What he might have meant is that it isn't a grave sin. Also turns out that I might have OCD because it happens really really often and he said that „going to confession 3 times a week because of it is not needed“.
@@matejminarik9040 I'm glad you got a chance to talk to someone in detail! It's hard to make any kind of determination on something like that through a comments section. ;) May God grant you wisdom as you seek to live your life for Him.

Even though I'm not a christian, I still get intrusive thoughts. I can't even tell them to others cuz I'm scared to talk about it with others. Thank you for this video. I feel good now ❤❤

I have OCD and Bipolar 1. I battle intrusive thoughts daily. 1 Corinthians 15:57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Is “humiliation rituals” biblical cause I seen some Christians talk about it especially Christian UA-camrs?
I've never heard of humiliation rituals in the Christian faith at all. I cannot imagine that this is something the Bible would endorse. If self-proclaimed Christians are saying it does, then I would suggest investigating their claims about which passages do so. I would almost guarantee that whatever scripture they are using is taken out of context.
I once was in cosplay and a person asked me to take a picture with me and I said "Sure". Midway through, someone asks if they were cosplaying Jesus and they said "Yes" and then I realized... Don't think there's no Christian cosplayers, you can always offend others so try your best not to if you don't want backlash or if you don't want to be treated like that.
There are definitely Christian cosplayers out there!
True, I had both sexual and blasphemous intrusive thoughts, and that came from my mind being corrupted by lust. I wouldn't watch porn, but I would think of sexual things, and these things made my mind very filthy, and thus caused bad thoughts. That and stuff I saw online really filled my mind with bad stuff. So from experience, SERIOUSLY be CAREFUL with the things that get in your mind. I am STILL trying to recover from this.
Thank you for this ❤ God is so good!!!
