I'm 49. As a kid in the UK, all we had was Sportsnight with (even respected in the US) Harry Carpenter. For an hour on a Wednesday night. I read about Mike Weaver, Michael Dokes etc in magazines. You make me feel I'm back there. The back stories you paint. It's brilliant.
@Madkid73 makes my day to hear that sir. All about preserving boxing history and looking at a timme when it was huge around the entire world. If you ever have any requests, don't hesitate to lemme know 🙏🏾
Ever since I heard it in the Holyfield/Foreman entrance for BIG George, I've been hooked! In fact, I remember years ago before I started making the videos that I knew it would be what I would want for my intro. It came to be 🙏🏾
Tyson did his homework on Holmes he could tell Holmes had a weakness for the right hand, he saw that Shavers and Snipes dropped Holmes with right hands and it was the same punch that Tyson took Holmes out with.
For years Holmes Was UNDERRATED now i am convinced he is GREATLY OVERRATED... the reality is most of his fights were against poor to very poor opposition... The best 3 fighters he fought, Norton, carl the 'truth 'And Wisherspoon he arguably lost against ... This is the reality so we need to keep it real.... plus Norton and Shavers were well past their prime when he fought them.
norton and shavers were well at their prime added gerry cooney and weaver holmes faced opponents who had good technique but boxing had lost some compared to the 60s and 70s holmes faced the best during his reign. just because they're not popular doesn't make them bad

Oh yes. The one we've been waiting for. (we've seen them in bits, but so much better in one long one) Ace work!

Amazing video brother.
Great work as always mate 👍 👏
Thank you, this is brilliant
This channel is great.
Thank you friend!
Way to tie this all together for all to admire. Great work as usual!
Thank you so much sir!
Larry Holmes was the champion of complaining about everything. If you have a problem with everybody that’s probably on you.
Truth he told this Larry Holmes was a great boxer
One of the best documentary on boxing is this.. too good 👌
Thanks for your time and kindness 🙏🏾
I live this channel I always wondered when do the 80s heavy weights some many of them now I know how each fighter got the belts .
Look at the hard work, the dedication. You mean the world to me, friend.
And you to me 💚

Getting payback for your Idol helps too 😅😅😅
Larry holmes was my favourite fighter of this decade, too bad he fell out mid way through
just fucking brilliant!!!!!!!!
Bro I have a video idea what if Ali was never forced to retire for those if I’m correct 3 years
Oh that's already coming! I can't wait to do it too!
If Cooney was the best they had to offer, then I know this decade was not prime boxing.
Mighty mike tyson best ever ask spinks and Holmes
The only legitimate title fights of the 1980s involved Holmes, then Spinks, then Tyson. The others were for cheap belts.
I believe Holmes V Cooney 1981 was last scheduled 15 rounder
For the WBC you mean?

no tills fight did not happen
Are we talking about the same Holmes who fights for the world title at 42 and 45?

Leon spinks too
@@joewilly6021 I meant to say Carl the truth
