Actually... 43 beans *isn't* a lot. A single bean can weigh anywhere between 0.12 to 0.17 grams, depending on how dark the roast is... so that's only like 5 to 7 grams. That's quite stingy. When I make filter coffee I go for about a 14 grams per cup. Of course, they brew on an industrial scale with presumably very high level of extraction -- closer to an espresso rather than a filter brew, but even so, 7 grams would be on the low end by today's standard. It's odd that they still use the number as a bragging right, and presumably not to advertise their efficiency.
Even though I did not know the reference it should have been the original ending. Love it how it sounded
