When you Extended the air shock during the install did you leave it that way when you let the car down off of the Jack and the car sat higher than the old shock. I've never installed a air shock before. I order the same shocks for my 89 Mustang and when I took them out of the box they wasn't close the the same length as the stock shocks. Is that how there supposed to be installed
I extended them that way i could bolt em on. I still had to add air to them afterwards.
Lmaoooooooo i died 🤣🤣🤣🤣☠☠☠ when he threw that shock with that soundbite along with the french hand gesture... epic!
THX! Attempting to put Monroe air shocks on my 65 galaxy. This video helps. I hope these do what I want them to. Stance/taller tire on the rear. Going with 17 inch rims.
Hell yeah! Let me know how it looks. Im putting one on a 65 galaxie myself
another nice addition to the Merc
good stuff Ese !
man thanks for the video Im going to try this with my 89 foxbody
If I go around a long bend will the air favour the inside shock or are there NRVS before the T junction (shock side ) ?
How long were those shocks when they were fully compressed? Eyelet to eyelet
2:11 them toe nails thooo
Use the carbide blade on those toe nails, bruh.
@@Asphaltsquadron 😂😂😂😂😂💀💀💀💀 I Freaking died bro!!! I was thinking the same thing!!!
i wanna know how to life hack FIX (not detect) the leaks will happen with air shocks. yes you can re-cut the ends of the air lines, but it seems air shock systems always leak no matter what. Im guessing in general air shocks just aint made well
295’s an a rake or ‘jacked’ up look was cool in ‘81. Go do burnouts 😂
Stink bug stance 😂 Two thumbs up Thx man
😂👍
If you lower the ride, do the air shocks allow for the shocks to go down and absorb bumps still? My car is low amd I dont want it to hit the ground when I hit bumps
Air shocks wont help you if you want to keep it low. If you like being low and dont want the car to dip down when you hit a bump. You will need a higher spring rate spring. They usualy ride stiff and harsh but will prevent you from bottoming out
Great video I just install them myself I'm a diy gal..😊 how much more air can you put on your air shorck? I went to the tire shop n I ask the guy to put air he put 90 and I left ..I was scared I didn't wanna blow up a line ...need your advise. Was I still able to put more air ?
depends on the brand. think monroe says 150 psi max but have a minimum of 20-50psi. 90psi should still be fine
@@Wrenchlife604 I have monroe too.
I didn't get to see how you hooked up the lines,
😢
I will record it next time. Its super easy to do 👍
Did you do all that undercoating yourself? If so what exactly did you do for that?
I used por-15 on the bottom of the trunk pan only. I made a video on my channel if u wana see how i did it.
Another good tool is a toe nail clipper 😅
Hi I have a 65 mustang I put these on and they are great I was wondering what kind of car this is in the video
66 mercury parklane.
Did you use regular air or ?? Because I want to know before I buy some
Yes. Just regular air from my compressor
@@Wrenchlife604 you think a gas station air pump works too?
Yes
Where do you find those shocks ?
my local part store carys them. if not anyone should be able to order them if they make them for your vehicle. search rockauto and get a part number. then call your auto parts place with the part number.
Jose zamora Amazon 50-60$ bro
I bought Monroe from oriellys
I just installed these and I’m having Trouble from my rear passenger side, when I put air into the shocks it only lifts the rear driver side. Both shocks seem fine and the bag inflates as it should...The rear passenger side won’t even move up or down when I jack up the car....any suggestions?
Could be a deffective air shock. Or a clogged in the line after the "T" i would get them exchanged for a new set.
i bought these shocks and when i was installing them the left side went on perfect but when i went to do the right side the bottom mounting hole on the shock was turned and wont line up, did this happen to you also or was your install easy?
Nope. Install on mine went pretty easy. Are you shure you cant turn and align the mounting point of the shock end?
What brand air shocks
Monroe
Are you going to put in a air tank at some point?
Hmm. Havnt thought of it. I know airlift makes a onboard airtank kit for trucks helper bags. Would be kinda cool to controll height in the car
Don't you mean daadaajee upakaran baig? If your trying to get less sparks when getting that peskee nut off first don't say it worked before it worked and second use your toe nails they're carbide right?
How is the ride with those hijackers?
I herd they ride good. Ive never took it out on a drive yet.
Dude use a sawzall and cut those nasty foot claws you are growing.
Invite your momma over. To cut them for me
@@Wrenchlife604 I'll just send your sister home with a pair of clippers.
