I thought I'd make a little video on what I've been doing in my spare time during lockdown. I'm not a professional by any means, I just thought I'd show you guys the journey so far and that anyone can do this with enough time and patience. Kisses xxxx

I like seeing people being so enthusiastic about their hobbies. I rediscovered old hobbies I used to have years ago (independently from this whole C19 situation) and it's really....clearing my mind...I don't have a better way to describe it, it just feels good to do. And I think it's great you found a hobby like that as well!

It shows Quarantine can let you do amazing things. Beaver put so much time and effort into this, when he was done he looked like a viking!!

I find it weird that everyone is getting into Warhammer because of quarantine or other reasons around this time, myself included. But those minis look really really good! I'm not sure about other people, but I would definitely like to see you do Warhammer battle reports in some way, or just more Warhammer in general. Again, good job with those Necrons!

@@nathanieleck1023 All jokes aside, I feel my money was better spent on 40k than it would have been if I had continued playing video games. New consoles + new game releases really add up over time and don't provide the same social interactions or sense of accomplishment that 40k does.
@@Headywon Actually why I have been getting into it myself. The whole gaming industry is going places I want nothing to do with and then I find 40K with amazing lore, cool models, and a fun strategy game.

My friend is into these, me and my other friend went over to his house to play it this one time, but the friend i brought along *ruined* it and just wasnt interested when we were like, 2 minutes in. Edit: he ruined it by just not participating, and we couldnt do it without him.
Well, to be fair, it was more around a year ago.... he kept posting this one series about like these apes evolving into more modern day creatures (Forgot what the game was called) and from there I just lost interest.... I don’t play the games he plays anymore, and I just felt like I outgrew him

I started off in the 90’s and drybrushing was my go to. Now I have returned to the Grimdark side I’m using multiple techniques that UA-cam and social media has provided all the knowledge I never had access to before.
I'm SHOCKED you didn't start Lizardmen with all their dinos. Also that's one slick looking army. You've managed to do what 80% of the hobby never gets to. A fully painted army.
Oh... Oh my... Literally the same thing is happening to me right now! I am ten Warriors, one Reanimator, and one Plasmancer down already... I have been painting mine with Runelord Brass and accenting with Leadblecher, Abaddon Black, and Tesseract Glow. Really liking it so far.

That is a very nice paint job! I still have some of my LOTR mini figures, though they now belong to my daughter. Still do some of the painting as well as sculpture making. So yes, I do agree that crafts do keep you sane sometimes.
beaver weve all been in that warhammer phase ive gotten back into it and i have just gone mad and bougt about 3 massive boxes of space marines and these green ogres and i have beenspending too much on these as they are very expensive but very addicting to collect and play with, btw i dont bother with painting the complex ones and i am very impressed with your collection i have also started collecting chaos space marines and i am addicted also keep up the good work beaver!

As someone who is very new to 40k i got the start collecting tau empire with intent of making it my own paintwise (im gonna make them look like irl oceanic species) and play with the tau but seeing this one of my fav youtubers getting into 40k like me it made me smile and confident

the thing i enjoy most about 40k is that you can (kind of) choose what ur models look like but i dont really enjoy painting but i do have a friend who likes painting so much...he offered to paint mine but anyway..
You should try the d&d miniatures, there are hundreds of people with different styles and poses with many having translucent affects. They also have dinosaurs and dragons
Excellent job Beaver, your paint skills noticeably improve as you go from your first models to the latest! I haven't tried painting or playing the tabletop game yet, but I might some day. I am an enormous fan of Warhammer 40k and Age of Sigmar lol, mostly focusing on the video games and Black Library novels. If you haven't already, you can post your painted models on Warhammer reddit boards to get feedback and tips from the community!
James, You should start a series, explaining your proces and a how-to for painting miniatures. I have a lot of games with mini's and have thought on painting them for the longest time, but I just don't really know how to start and am scared to ruin my mini's. Would be cool to see you explain how to paint and your proces on doing it.

From one Necron player to another, welcome to the Tomb World. Used to watch your Jurassic Park videos a few years back, so I was a bit surprised (presently so) to see that you had gotten into Warhammer 40k.
the thing i enjoy most about 40k is that you can (kind of) choose what ur models look like but i dont really enjoy painting but i do have a friend who likes painting so much...he offered to paint mine
but anyway..
You should try the d&d miniatures, there are hundreds of people with different styles and poses with many having translucent affects. They also have dinosaurs and dragons
Excellent job Beaver, your paint skills noticeably improve as you go from your first models to the latest! I haven't tried painting or playing the tabletop game yet, but I might some day. I am an enormous fan of Warhammer 40k and Age of Sigmar lol, mostly focusing on the video games and Black Library novels.

You should start a series, explaining your proces and a how-to for painting miniatures. I have a lot of games with mini's and have thought on painting them for the longest time, but I just don't really know how to start and am scared to ruin my mini's. Would be cool to see you explain how to paint and your proces on doing it.
I actually just started my warhammer collection, and I went with Tyranids too! I'm painting them as Hydra Fleet.
