Hollea Beck legit all percussionists when they get an epic part. I was like that during a couple songs I had XD but yeah he gets a hella cool part so he should be proud of himself. If you get a boring part then you won't be excited, but if it's important or funny (like waiting the whole song to play for a measure) then yeah we'll look happy XD

Lol I use a harness when I play my bari. I am pretty short compared to most bari players (5,2) still fun though.

We Always Eat Cashews same! i use a neck strap but im also pretty shorter than most bari players as im 5' and in 6th grade
The Dark Fez Personally I'm in 6th grade and I'm 5'4 and I have no issue using only a neck strap.

Just need to play it for a while, you get used to it. After I picked up my alto after playing Bari pretty much exclusively for like 3 years, I surprised myself for how much easier it was to play.

It's hard enough to carry around an alto but it must be hell to carry around a baritone
TheDarktiger81 I play a Bari and it's actually not that bad, but when it's in the case I feel like I'm carrying 40 pounds
because you are carrying forty lol. I've weighed it myself. mine's 35 pounds in the wooden case it comes with.
Bari is not hard when you get used to it, I use a plain old neotech neckstrap and I have to hold it like an Alto, straight in front of me instead of to the side

MarMar :D All the bari players just play the low A. If you wanna scare someone, they love that low A. If you just wanna annoy someone in general, play the low A. If you get a hater just speaking in your face, blast the low A, they won't even see it coming.

When the band director is tuning the band, and they get to the sax section (finally) and they get to you, they will tell you to pull out. You do, and they keep saying it until you accidentally pull the mouthpiece completely off and punch yourself in the face with it. My face hurt that concert.

You two should try 'Problem' by Arienna grande. The sax part is a tenor sax but still it can be done with the alto. I love the Bari with the Low A key in these song tho lol. (I play the Bari myself) i have a video on 'talk dirty' for the Bari part If y'all need it. I want you guys to know that I tried sax for two years, absolutely sucked, and ever since had hated the instrument.
