Want a Better 1911 Trigger??? My SIG 1911 Nightmare and How I Improved It

A little polishing and swapping out a few parts reduces the trigger weight from 6lbs to under 4 lbs!

Honestly man the best thing you can do for your trigger in a sig like that is get the frame filler from brownells, and get rid of the series 80 parts. If you’re worried about drop safety, get a Wilson titanium firing pin. It’s amazing how much better your trigger gets when you’re not pushing two levers and a plunger on pull. That’s not why I did it though, I did it for reliability, my plunger wouldn’t engage or disengage consistently. Which would sometimes cause the trigger to not pull, or light primer strikes. On top of that, when it did fire, the firing pin was being slowed down and the lock time would affect poa. After doing this though, not only is it very reliable and accurate but, the trigger pull is much better, much more defined wall and lighter.

I see they got ya on the barrel like they did me, I called and complained and they finally corrected it. It's supposed to have a silver barrel

Yeah, it looks like they’re coming in black now. When did you contact them about the unfinished barrel?

Yes not the unfinished stainless steel version. Interesting that you got a replacement from SIG?? That’s a awesome.

@@bfgprecision it was difficult, took several calls a day for a little over a week. They have the worst customer service
