I literally watched 3 videos on this before I come across yours, none of them helped but got it down the first time with your video. I appreciate the help!

This is actually a bad representation of how to properly disassemble and especially reassemble a 1911. The reassembly was the cringiest part oh my

Is there a reason to pull the trigger and release the hammer then push the firing pin safely back down again?

Are there any pieces proprietary to Sig ? I’m new to 1911s but have always loved the look of them . Being able to get parts to replace or fix a gun is something I always like to consider before purchase, thank you for any feedback

Thanks for the view! So 1911s are a very old model pistol that have been brought into the future a bit with modern technology. For the most part 1911 parts are the same across the board but SIG may have certain parts exclusive to them. I know for sure that you can use a Colt 1911 magazine in a SIG 1911. I use them because they hold 8 without the grip extender.

On this Sig the only real proprietary part I see is the external extractor, but without pulling one apart in hand I can't say with certainty

You ever notice any minimal slide wobble with your scorpion fastback? Only reason why im asking is because I noticed i have some minimal slide wobble with my scorpion fast back. If you can get back to me with your thoughts an experiences i would so appreciate it. Thank you.

Hi Eric, I haven’t noticed any slide wobble with mine. Mine is pretty tight. Maybe do a goodie search for some forums that outline some slide wobble

That’s a great question. I would think not but now that you have posed the question I am going to check next disassembly and research a bit.

Suggestion- Learn how to take down your 1911 before you make a video. Fumble, rough, fumble, idiot, fumble, rough....
